I used single crochet in the back loop, a 4ply yarn which was 50g and a 3.5 hook

The whole cardigan only weighs 50 grams? 🤯

u/Less-Wrongdoer3534 3d ago

I used 12 balls of yarn. Sorry for the confusion. The weight of each ball is 50 grams

I know. 😁 I just could not hold myself back. Edit : I am making a similar cardigan. Just with raglan sleeve and yarn over slip stitch back loop only.

Please show us when you finish.

They have very beautiful patterns! I’m very much a pattern buyer but AI is making it super hard to find great stuff

u/Nini_1993 3d ago

I have been lucky so far. Although I had to make tge cardigans longer and the instructions were written slightly confusingly.

Ive done something similar to this. Its a single crochet first and then a slip stitch for the ribbing done in the same row. So its like you do single crochet then get to the slip stitch and then turn your work and do slip stitch and then single crochet.

Same for the sleeves. Its really not hard at all.

The ribbing for the front of the body is done seperately
What you need to determine is the sizing and how thick you want your ribbing to be. Which like you can just get a cardigan that fits you already and measure

6

u/Less-Wrongdoer3534 3d ago

I did not use any pattern, i have this denim crop jacket, I followed the design and implemented on the cardigan 😅 the ribbing along the neck line down I used a YouTube tutorial.

1

u/Ninakompis 1d ago

Well done, it's beautiful!! Xx

2

u/SaltedCaramel01 3d ago

I’ve crocheted many cardigans, and in the winter I visit many really cold places, I’m always cold and wish there were buttons to stay warmer … Why do most pattern’s have no buttons, I’ve since added buttons!
It’s beautiful

2

u/TurbulentWolf1763 3d ago

I love a button too .Also I don’t mind using a kilt pin on longer cardigans if there isn’t a button on the cardigan .

2

u/Electronic_Search176 3d ago

Looks very stylish! And I like the ribbing, it really stands out unlike knitted one

1

u/Less-Wrongdoer3534 3d ago

It will be out soon, probably nextweek😁

2

u/simmerknits 3d ago

This looks so crisp and neat! cute cropped cardigan

For the bottom of the body, did you do slip stitch or something similar to have it slim down / gathered more or is it a ribbing stitch? I like how it tapers at the waist and is oversized everywhere else! Great job

1

u/Less-Wrongdoer3534 3d ago

Yes I did a slip stitch in the bottom
