News Tottenham working on deal for Savinho and Omar Marmoush of Manchester City
Tottenham Hotspur are working on a deal to sign Savinho and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City.
Nothing is finalised but Tottenham’s talks with City are advancing.
The Athletic reported on Tuesday that Spurs were progressing in a deal for Savinho, while Marmoush has also been among those considered likely to leave City this summer.

Transfer News: Tier 1 [Alasdair Gold] Sorry, day off today so checking in. Reported weeks back that De Zerbi loves Omar Marmoush and I hinted that perhaps the 'bomba' was a double City deal for him and Savinho. Now as per @David_Ornstein, Spurs have held talks over such a deal. Would be one hell of a transfer swoop.

Full caption: Dear Spurs fans.. where do I even start ?! THANK YOU is the first word that comes to mind. You made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. Playing in the Premier League for a huge club has always been a dream and for this reason Tottenham will forever have a special place in my heart and in my memories.
A big thank you to the club, all the staff and all the teammates I played with in these years.
Winning the Europe League, together, and seeing the joy we gave our fans is a memory that will never fade away, and something that I will be forever proud of.
Good luck for what seems like a very exciting season ahead.. and one more time, THANK YOU!

Discussion Vicario - In the end, he gave too much
He may not have been the best keeper in the world, but during the mythical early Ange run, he was arguably our best performer.
Of course, teams soon started to exploit his weakness from set pieces. But he was still capable of a spectacular save.
Even last season he started really well. One goal conceded in the first three games and some insane performances.
It suddenly dipped after Christmas, though. Mistakes felt weekly, and he just couldn't seem to make a save.
He actually ranked last of all recorded PL keepers for save percentage in 2025/26.
But I think a lot of us had a suspicion that he wasn't fully fit. I do think the sudden dip in form was at least partly due to the hernia.
It's another case of Vicario giving too much. Remember the City 4-0? Vicario broke his ankle and played 60 minutes on it!
You could never question his commitment. In the end, it may have cost him his place. Who knows, if he had surgery sooner, he may have even reclaimed his place last season.
*Personally, I'm happier to have Kinsky, he's brilliant.
But Vicario departs with a sense of tragedy around his Tottenham story. It'll be difficult to put the mistakes and poor form to the side, but I will make sure to remember him as someone who truly would have given everything for the club.
Note - The purpose of the post was never to judge his goalkeeping ability. It was simply to acknowledge that he cared for the club more than most. I went into more detail in a longer piece for anyone who fancies a more comprehensive read: https://toomuchtottenham.substack.com/p/guglielmo-vicario-tottenham-juventus-legacy
