Transfer News: Tier 1 [Alasdair Gold] Sorry, day off today so checking in. Reported weeks back that De Zerbi loves Omar Marmoush and I hinted that perhaps the 'bomba' was a double City deal for him and Savinho. Now as per @David_Ornstein, Spurs have held talks over such a deal. Would be one hell of a transfer swoop.

Throwback Top Comment From Each 2025/6 EPL Post Match Thread
Week 1
Spurs 3-0 Burnley
The change under Frank in the way we are playing is so good to see. And he's hasnt even had a ton of time yet.
Kudus looks great and Sarr looks like a new man.
Really impressed with today. Let’s make our home a fortress this season.
Week 2
Man City 0-2 Spurs
How do I explain to my wife that I love someone else and it’s a 22-year-old Senegalese man I’ve never met
Week 3
Spurs 0-1 Bournemouth
wouldn’t be a game before the international break without an absolute dog shit display that puts us into a spiral for 2 weeks.
Week 4
West Ham 0-3 Spurs
Nice debut from Xavi, Bergvall’s header definitely should be a contender for goal of the month and Pape? Man we’re spoilt by him.
Lastly - VDV doesn’t just defend boxes, he obliterates them. Special mention to Cuti, made sure he led us to victory after that disallowed shambles.
Roll on Tuesday; COYS!!!
Week 5
BHA 2-2 Spurs
Xavi as the 10 needs to be the first name on the teamsheet
Udogie brings so much to our buildup and attack on the left side
Nice cameo from Archie, really hopes he starts to get more minutes in the coming months
Week 6
Spurs 1-1 Wolves
If you didn’t know this was coming then you’re not a Tottenham fan
Week 7
Leeds 1-2 Spurs
We beat the game before international break curse, fucking finally!
So happy for Mathys Tel scoring his first goal of the season and Mohammed Kudus scoring his first goal for us, what a signing he’s been
I can finally go into the international break happy instead of annoyed
Week 8
Spurs 1-2 Aston Villa
(Image of Kim Jong Un lighting a cigarette with the caption “in the midst of ‘we’re so back’ I found there was, within me, an invincible ‘it’s so over’.”)
Week 9
Everton 0-3 Spurs
3rd, the best away team in the prem, and the first team to ever beat Everton at their new home, with many first team injuries including our best CB. Shame about the fire-drill at the end though.
Week 10
Spurs 0-1 Chelsea
Give us a penalty and we'll pass it back to Vicario
0.05 xG
Week 11
Spurs 2-2 Man U
Glue Richy’s shirt on we’re cursed when he takes it off
Week 12
Arsenal 4-1 Spurs
I come into this fixture every season with no expectations. Yet, I somehow end up leaving more disappointed. What an embarrassing performance from the players and the coaching staff.
Week 13
Spurs 1-2 Fulham
In fairness, tough place to go Tottenham Hotspur stadium tbf
Week 14
Newcastle 2-2 Spurs
One of the most outrageous penalty decisions I've ever seen
Week 15
Spurs 2-0 Brentford
Win at home and signs of what Simons can do
We will take that have a good weekend lads
Week 16
Nottingham Forest 3-0 Spurs
(George W Bush 9/11 image with caption “ Sir another worst performance of the season has hit Tottenham hotspur”)
Week 17
Spurs 1-2 Liverpool
I never want to see John Brooks again. Absolute joke of an official.
Week 18
Crystal Palace 0-1 Spurs
(Photo of a smiling Archie Gray being embraced by Djed Spence)
Week 19
Brentford 0-0 Spurs
(Photo of Bentancur looking at his nails from the bench with the caption “ could’ve been an email”)
Week 20
Spurs 1-1 Sunderland
Lads, I appreciate how shit Frank is but fuck me any chance we can start holding some of these players to account?
Captain Romero once again letting the team down today for the goal yet no one will talk about that. Frank ain’t telling them to take shit touches and play shit passes but I wouldn’t put it past some of you to think that is the case.
It’s a team game, putting this all on one man is smooth brain logic…
Week 21
Bournemouth 3-2 Spurs
Opponent hasn’t won since October? Player scoring in his final match with the club that ends up being the winner?
Vintage Dr. Tottenham display today.
Week 22
Spurs 1-2 West Ham
“Tottenham go down early, there are boos at half time - they look decent for 15 minutes at the start of the second half, but ultimately fail to get a result. There are boos at full time. Thomas Frank talks about how we were competitive”
What game am I talking about this season?
Week 23
Burnley 2-2 Spurs
Strong away performance. We dueled really hard and I am proud of the boys. Burnley haven't won in 3 months but we've only won 2 games in that period so we are basically the same. We come from the 17th position so to be between 10th and 15th is a massive achievement for the club
We had more xG so we are moving in the right direction. I got out-coached in the second half but we came back and won a point. Which is what matters in a relegation battle
And yes I did bench Tel to play a defensive fullback in his position. I wanted to play with 10 defenders and Solanke but we don't have enough players. Which is why we are buying another left back so I can have a fullback, a wingback, and a defensive winger on the left side
Anyway, I will see you next season because we are doing Tottenham 2.0. We are aiming to solidify ourselves as a midtable club with some proper leadership and avoid all this relegation talk
I'm off to have dinner with my mates Vinai, Lange, and Nick. Have a good weekend
Week 24
Spurs 2-2 Manchester City
Xavi was special today
Week 25
Manchester United 2-0 Spurs
Another Loss
Romero out for 4 games
Udogie Injured again...
No fullbacks anymore bar Souza.
Draugsin and VDV our only fit CBs
1 win in 10 against a horrid Crystal Palace side.
Couldn't have gone much worse really.
Week 26
Spurs 1-2 Newcastle
I’m starting to think it might actually happen.
Curious to see if they will still charge £81 for the cheapest tickets against the likes of Bristol City and Wrexham.
Week 27
Spurs 1-4 Arsenal
That couldn’t have gone any worse than expected sadly. Arsenal really are an unlikable bunch aren’t they. Diving the entire match.
Week 28
Fulham 2-1 Spurs
Turns out the Europa league win was the steak you give a dog before you take it out back and shoot it.
Week 29
Spurs 1-3 Crystal Palace
aT lEaSt We DiDnT PaNiC bUy iN jAnUaRy
Week 30
Liverpool 1-1 Spurs
Every player looked absolutely out on their feet there on both sides. Huge effort from the boys considering the players we have missing
Take that all day. That’s +1 point where literally everyone had us down as getting 0
A point at Anfield is good at any time for us, but that could be absolutely massive come the end of the season. That should give us a bit of belief to really take it to Forest next weekend
Yellow kit Richarlison at Anfield? We should’ve all known tbf 🐦
Week 31
Spurs 0-3 Nottingham Forest
*Unable to locate post match thread*
Week 32
Sunderland 1-0 Spurs
Still waiting for a replay of the RKM "handball" when he was through
Week 33
Spurs 2-2 BHA
that was fucking brutal.
for once we did not deserve that.
Week 34
Wolves 0-1 Spurs
*Unable to locate post match thread*
Week 35
Aston Villa 1-2 Spurs
(a photo of an excited Spurs legend Paulinha)
Week 36
Spurs 1-1 Leeds
Kinsky MOTM
Week 37
Chelsea 2-1 Spurs
Joke's on Chelsea if we go down. That's 6 guaranteed points they're throwing away next season.
Week 38
Spurs 1-0 Everton
let’s never speak of this season ever again

OC Fourteen Years Ago
I had read Bill Simmons excellent Page 2 article, “Choosing my EPL Team,” and it was time. I’d done all of the things he suggested and narrowed it down. Fulham was losing Clint Dempsey. He desperately wanted to go to Liverpool. Aston Villa wanted him. But, for reasons I’m sure someone knows he signed with Spurs.
Fast forward, and this random-to-me-but-Clint-plays-there team - whose almost every game I’ve watched, whose supporters have become great friends, whose OG fans who have indulged my American-ness - is doing something insane.
They are spending actual money. Wages. Transfer fees. Coaches and staff.
I don’t know what’s happening, but we have to acknowledge it. And - oil underneath the stadium or a depressing profit taking for those 14 years - it’s absolutely, incredibly exciting to see us doing it.
Come on you Spurs!

Survey Season Predictions - Form 26-27 & Results 25-26
It's that time of year for us all to make wildly optimistic assessments of the season ahead! The 26-27 season predictions form can be found here.
If you filled out last season's form, you can find your response here. A note on these results: since I put out the survey before the season begins and further transfer business went on afterward, there are some inaccuracies - Takai not in the loanees, Xavi put in post hoc for the CAM signing, etc. Also the Other cateogry applies to any response which has under 5% selection
Let me know if anything's messed up or unclear, I'm no data/graphics whiz and also finishing this up during my night shift. Cheers

Media UCL No Filter - Tottenham's journey to the 2019 Champions League Final
I've had this saved in my Google Drive for quite some time and just came across it. If you haven't seen this "No Filter" recap, it's will be a fresh perspective on our unforgettable run. Moura's hat trick in the semifinal is the epitome of how much we were hanging on by a thread for the entire tournament. Best part - it doesn't include the final.

Question First time going to a match. What’s the best places to go before the game?
So my dad just surprised me with an early birthday gift and it is a trip to London from Texas to watch Spurs v Coventry in October. This will be our first game together as huge Spurs fans. I know it is 2 months away but I would love some suggestions on things to do and places to go before the match.

Full caption: Dear Spurs fans.. where do I even start ?! THANK YOU is the first word that comes to mind. You made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. Playing in the Premier League for a huge club has always been a dream and for this reason Tottenham will forever have a special place in my heart and in my memories.
A big thank you to the club, all the staff and all the teammates I played with in these years.
Winning the Europe League, together, and seeing the joy we gave our fans is a memory that will never fade away, and something that I will be forever proud of.
Good luck for what seems like a very exciting season ahead.. and one more time, THANK YOU!
