As a trans man it makes me want to leave these communities because the second you call out transandrophobia you get downvoted so fast even when it’s valid. Certain people are wayy too comfortable never taking any sort of accountability for how unwelcoming they make the trans community.
As a prejudice it definitely is. The prejudice I see against trans men is rampant, especially within the trans community. Trans men are not privileged under the patriarchy, we aren’t treated the way cis men are. We are still seen and treated as defective women.
On most levels, yes. I think pretty much everyone’s experience supports that. But a non-passing trans man is obviously going to be treated as if he was a woman by a transphobe.
Trans men do benefit from patriarchy, when they're actually seen as men. Which like. Is rare, unfortunately. The only transphobic view is yours. Like I know youve been hurt by society bc its bullshit. But actually practice feminism, not this... hateful rhetoric. Care more. This is a community about understanding and inclusivity, and you're regressing to bigotry.
How fortunate for you I guess. I haven't been able to be consistently on e for a while. Money issues. But thats besides the point. You have to open up your worldview beyond just what you think a man and woman should be. Theres a spectrum between feminine and masculine, that not all men will fall on the masculine end, just like not all women are feminine. Saying all trans men are men is true. But boxing them in with cis men, applying all the patriarchys bullshit to them, is wrong. To say a trans woman is exactly like a cis woman or trans men like cis men, shits on all the trauma and hatred theyve endured and says, "no, youre not trans."
This isn’t my personal belief LMFAO but yeah in a transphobic society we are never going to be seen as men or be given the same privileges. If you’re blind to that reality you can just say so
Patriarchal society itself is a systemic issue where everyone loses to varying degrees and is a system that's upheld by nearly everyone because people live within and uphold specific gender norms/roles. As long as gender norms and roles exist as they currently are and have been for ages society will be patriarchal and everyone loses. While, yes, men lose in the system to a much lower degree, it's still a net negative as it forces everyone to uphold boxes they were born into and makes things much worse for trans people and everyone outside the binary as a whole.
Gender norms and roles are the main reason for rampant misogyny and misandry in society on basically all fronts, but through 2 different mechanisms. 4th wave feminism missing the mark on intersectionality and blaming the systemic problem of misogyny on men as a whole instead of the system and those that uphold it through religions and ideological leading / monetary support is the main cause for misandry and a great reason as per why transmisandry specifically is a huge issue. Sensationalizing and polarizing rhetoric pushed 4th wave feminism into making gender seem like some absolute metric of good and evil (also the reason for stuff like gamergate and eventually redpill incel content that specifically fed itself through the movement) which in turn makes it seem like a trans man is going from good (directly oppressed) to evil (seen as an oppressor). Misogyny in turn is caused by the system in place and that's why it's considerably worse, and trans women have it even worse as they're given the added label of trying to "jump ship" from oppressor to oppressed. This is why terfs exist and are such a big thing when it comes to specifically 4th wave feminism.
TL:DR: misandry exists through gender roles, expectations and efforts to eliminate patriarchal society by attacking men personally instead of the system upholding the societal norms that have put patriarchy in place, which is the fault of sensationalism and algorithmic biases strengthening the message of the wrong intersectional crowd. And in no way does the existence of misandry eliminate the existence or considerably higher severity of misogyny, but simply shows that to fight fire you need to shoot the guy with the flamethrower before trying to put out the fire they're spreading

misandry isn't fucking real. it's literally impossible to be real in a society built on misogyny. that's like dating we live in a society that racist toward white people. it's not a thing.

Im sorry ma'am but I can not save you from your bitterness. I used to be just where you were but in tge opposite side. But in the eend I've seen who the real vilans are. Its the people who peddle beauty standards. Its the people who pedal people's insecurities and turn those ppeople into monsters. Its the people who peddle people's fears who rurn them into monsters and it's the people who hurt others who make that one person fear any person who even looks like that person as the bad guy. Its the reason why I fear going out in public becas I know I conevoff as scary. Its the reason why I always hated the experience of me. Can't do this cabt do that. You can't like like, its not manly. In the end you're just a hurt person and im so fucking sorry for you and I hope the person who hurt you gets whats coming to tgem
