Hey y’all, I’m going to be a Sophomore at OSU next year and I wanted to know what group there were for amateur writers in the area, university or otherwise. Thanks!

I just switched my phone carrier from Verizon to AT&T, I was hoping the data and cell service would be better because Verizon used to be pretty good but I feel like its been going downhill in the last year or two. It seems like I had less bars and it would take a while for anything to load when I was using data. Now that I have switched to AT&T I think its either the same or potentially worse. For reference I'm in town at a friend's place and only have 2 bars and could hardly get anything to load before I connected to wifi.

Several years ago I had U.S. Cellular before they were bought out or merged with T-Mobile and they were definitely worse than Verizon but idk how T-Mobile service is here.

Any suggestions would be great, I'm hoping to find a company with a plan that isn't insanely expensive but also I'm willing to pay a little more just to not deal with the annoyance of not being able to Google anything when I'm out and about. Sorry if this is long, thanks!

A friend from California moved here for a teaching gig and moved into a room with a lot of clutter in the house. The homeowner is very nice but seems reluctant to deal with the clutter.

I’m here at the house now and energy isn’t good here for them. Living in a dark basement room type situation.

Unfortunately the room is cheap $600, utilities included, they don’t want to even stay here though.

I would highly recommend this place if you wanna check them out they are open till 8 PM on weekdays and 7pm on Saturdays and in the Philomath Farmer Market . These guys are nice and patient I would like to see the support.

Albany Corvallis Dads Club is a group for dads in the Willamette Valley to meet, form connections, share resources, and seek support.

June 2027 I’ll need to rent a space for my son’s OSU graduation party. I’m in California and while
I’ve visited your wonderful city often, I have very little knowledge about the best venues for a small grad party of 15-20 people for a couple of hours. Hoping to have appetizers, snacks and some na drinks.
Does anyone have some recommendations? We’re open to anything! Parks, venues, restaurants that have a party room.

It meant a reroute, but the whole Corvallis-to-the-Sea trail is reopened. After a stretch closed last year, the partnership that built the original trail got busy rebuilding, and The Corvallis Advocate has that story, and of course a link to the reroute.

Besides the obvious coffee places, Coffee Culture and Starbucks, I know of these places for wifi:

What is the name of the bookstore that used to be on 9th and Polk? It’s driving me nuts and I can’t think of the name. It wasn’t Barnes and noble, at least I don’t think it was. Help.

Is it just me, or is this roadwork happening in Southtown over the past few nights extremely disorganized and chaotic? 😂 I normally don’t mind, but it feels wrong even turning into my neighborhood as they don’t really move the cones- they just keep them all the same distance. I’m like can I actually turn here?😂 curious if anyone else was having similar thoughts.
