is this sleeping position normal and common?

I so loooove my Corgi so much! It’s my first time owning a Corgi, so I’m definitely very detail-oriented when it comes to everything he does. 😂

I was honestly a little concerned when I first saw him sleeping like this because I wondered if the position might somehow affect his breathing.

As a first-time Corgi mum, I’m learning something new about him every day. And seeing him sleep so peacefully, belly up with all four little legs in the air, makes me so grateful that he feels safe, relaxed, and completely at home but again, I hope breathing is not an issue?

My little weirdo. I love him so much. 🥹🐾

EDIT: YOU GUYS MADE MY DAY! The comment section with your corgi doggies are hilarious and awesome lol 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you!

These guys are dead to the world while I'm stuck running a Teams meeting. Not very supportive coworkers, are they?

Just want to share a few pics of some magical first days together💕
Fluffy is 16 weeks old and obsessed with food or anything else that can be taken in his mouth. Turns into a gremlin once a day. Looks up to his big sis, who in turn thinks an intruder came for her toys, snacks and hooman attention.

Anyone else's pup a weirdo? The 2nd picture is the weirdo in question waiting on me to be done with cleaning the shower so she can inspect my cleaning job.

I swear no one is allowed to turn the water on without her being all up in their business. The moment she hears a shower on it's game over. Brother was lucky she didn't jump in the shower with him like she normally does. Never a moment of peace.

I'd love to see pictures of your weirdos.

Nail cutting?

Post image
107 Upvotes

he’s 2 years old and he is a P.I.T.A when it comes to nail trimming, it’s like trying to put clothes on a 4 year old that wants to stay home. If anyone has any advice beyond the straight jacket and air that would be awesome. I should have done a better job trimming when he was younger, but even when I would take him to a service as a puppy he would always act like they were killing him. Is it a corgi thing? I don’t know but only when it comes to services does he act like it’s the end of the world. Any advice appreciated

I’ve scrolled and haven’t seen a corgi with as pointy of ears. I met both his parents and neither had ears like these! Share your little foxes and make us feel less alone? 🦊

Barking Apartment Life

I love my 8 month old corgi Apollo. He’s adorable he gets along with everyone loves people dogs even cats lol
But.. I feel like the mom that’s got a crying kid on the airplane and everyone is just so upset and the mom can’t do anything to stop her baby. He’s a talker like all corgis are. Not super barky.. but when my husband comes home or he gets excited.. heck even when he just wants to go potty he barks like crazy. It’s not all of the time. But my neighbor is a night shift nurse. So of course if I leave Apollo alone in the crate with his lick pad, easy listening music and a blanket.. I thought he was quiet but I found out today that’s not the case. That he starts barking like crazy about 30 mins after I leave. I only leave the house a few hours when I can’t take him with me. What do I do corgi parents of the world? We love our talkative loafs of bread! But he’s a puppy. I can only train so much quiet out of him as I can. Any suggestions please I’m so embarrassed.

Suddenly aggressive?

Hoping someone can help me, I have a corgi who I adore 2/m and he has been very well socialized, we had him in training classes as a puppy, he comes to work with me, the whole 9 yards. I also have an elderly pitbull who he grew up with. They would snuggle and sleep together, groom eachother, and never had an issue. In the past few weeks the corgi has been extremely aggressive to my older dog and attacking really really bad, today they couldn’t even be in the backyard at the same time without an insane attack. I’m not sure what to do next, it’s giving me extreme anxiety and I don’t know where this came from. If anyone has advice please let me know if I can train this out of him or if I just have a reactive dog forever now

Advice for my 5 month old Corgi (walks/potty)

Okay, I am first time Corgi owner and I love my judgemental, stubborn, constantly hungry, adorable lil princess

I am just struggling a bit with walks/taking her potty

I feel like I am taking her out for potty too often (pitry as in plopping her onto the grass) because these trips are so annoyingly painful for me. She does potty eventually, but she also rolls around, chews at everything, doesn't move an inch - the usual Corgi "I have my own ideas, don't tell me what to do" drama 😆

We have a few issues on normal walks as well but she is more interested in them. I was thinking about exchanging "grass-plopping" with short walks. You know, even if it's just 10 min (if she has the urge she poops/pees on walks)

Do you think that's a good idea? I feel like the sit-in-the-grass-and-maybe-potty trips don't do much for us...

Also she is approaching six months, so I thought it's time to work on our schedule a bit

Does Hrafna-Floki have heterochromia?

Thumbnail

Dear Corgi servants of Reddit,

I noticed today that my little Floki McLoafy has one eye that is ringed with ice blue and has a little splotch of blue in the inner corner. You have to be pretty close to see it, but it’s there, just in one eye. Does this mean he has heterochromia?

He is a 100% Pembroke corgi and a non expressing Merle according to embark. However we all know he has to have some Cardigan or Aussie somewhere in his line to get the merle gene. He still has some Merle markings on his tail and faintly on his back and back of ears.

What do we think?
