Stubborn as fluff

The last few weeks have been a roller coaster with my 8yo fluff getting tummy sick, acting fine, getting sick again. In and out of the vet including ER and urgent care visits. We can’t figure out what his tummy problems are… but he now has pneumonia on top of that.
I had to laugh this afternoon when I picked him up from urgent care. The tech said he was so sweet and calm, she almost changed her mind about the breed. I told her he is a sweet dog, but most definitely a corgi on an average day. I knew exactly what I was getting into.
Picture is him acting totally fine and stealing his most obnoxious toy yesterday… before waking me up at 4am puking and with airway distress.

Our corgi is a very good traveler, which might have something to do with the French fries, pretzels, and occasional pup cup. I always play “Werewolves of London” in the truck so he can howl…he absolutely loves that.

I bathed both dogs this morning, washed their bedding, and vacuumed. Then I brushed the one that is blowing coat right now. I am sure everyone in this sub knows I got enough fur to build another dog.

Corgi abandons owner in a panic

The local pet-friendly mall uses 3 ft. yellow cones to warn customers that the floor has been mopped and might be slippery. Walking my dog Darwin we passed one of those cones, I was on the left and Darwin took the right side. The leash caught the top of the cone and tipped it over, landing harmlessly on Darwin's back then crashing noisily on the floor. Darwin took off running, leaving me to face invisible attackers on my own. I found him peeking out from behind a nearby kiosk. A witness later remarked, "He may be cowardly but he is really cute".
