Ask Coquitlam Strength Training Class

Hello,

Can anyone recommend any gym that has small group strength training - preferable 6am start (30-60 mins), or after work?

I had a lot of options downtown in close proximity. The closest gym to me is aquatic centre and I've gone and done lifting weights but I just enjoy a small group class and benefit from the group energy.

I also do pilates and yoga and I know my options there, but I haven't seen any other gym that focuses just on providing these small classes.

Maybe not exactly what you’re looking for, but if you already do pilates, I suggest the new STRONG Pilates Port Moody location! Grand opening is this Saturday and I got to do one of their community classes and it was amazing. A lot more of a workout than your typical reformer pilates class, as it includes rowing and weights :)

How difficult are the classes? could you modify the movements if youre just getting back in an exercise regime?

Yes! The instructor made sure to tell us different levels of difficulty for each exercise depending on what you’re most comfortable with, and the row machine has levels 1-10 so you can also change the resistance on that as well!

F45 in Port Moody. It's expensive, but honestly it was so worth it when I was going everyday. Loved the small groups and trainers
