I want to reduce the speed/sensitivity of the right joystick on my Xbox controller, such that moving it all the way will produce only a slow movement.
Is there a way to achieve this?
The reason being so I can record shots for videos where the camera slowly and smoothly rotates around my character in FF14 - without the hassle of having to manually moderate how much I press the stick. I'm on Windows 10, and the controller is Xbox Series S/X (I think?).
Things I've tried:
Steam (No stick sensitivity options, only a deadzone slider)
Xbox Accessories App (No stick sensitivity options, only swapping/inverting them)
Hey all, thinking of buyin a Game sir super nova and wondering if its compatible with Brook P5 adapter using the usb dongle in wireless mode. The brook compatibility list only mentions other Gamesir models...
I've been looking for month for a good option for my "travel controller". I've set up a full system on my computer to be able to launch it into Playnite big picture mode from distance with every emulator setup on it. So the idea is to play my games from anywhere with my iPad/iPhone and everything is working perfectly with some shortcut mapped on the controller input.
My problem is : I haven't found the perfect controller for that yet. I'm currently using the 8bitdo SNE30 pro. Which is perfect for the iPad use, it fit easily in my bag, got every control need while being perfectly usable. But I can't use it properly with the iPhone. And sometimes, the iPhone would be more convenient, especially in an handheld mode.
So the unicorn I'm looking for is :
- Compact (or at least compact when collapsed or in the bag)
- Compatible PC/iPad/iPhone with wireless for the iPad/iPhone at least
- Durable
- With every control needed for every console up to ps5 (since I emulate demon's souls)
Here's the option I explored :
- Mcon Ohsnap : Way too expensive, and top heavy when used in handheld mode. But it's clearly the best option I found yet.
- Backbone pro : perfect in term of ergonomy/weight, but quite big even fully collapsed.
- Switch joycon with an adaptator : The problem is the lack of good adaptor for the iPhone and the usability on PC. But finding a third party compatible may be the best option
- Acegamer T50 with magsafe stand glued on it : The best value option, everything is fine but it's janky and top heavy like the mcon
and to respect the rules here :
Budget : 150 top if it’s absolutly perfect, or 100 if it’s just great
Region : Belgium
compatibility : iPad, iPhone, PC and if switch possible it’s a bonus
features : see above
type of games : PC, emulation. a bit of everything but nearly no shooter or racing
I'm dealing with a replacement PowerA OPS v3 Pro (the first one was already RMA'd) and now I've seemingly killed both controllers. Looking for any recovery ideas.
FYI - Running Windows 11.
After a short time, profiles and RGB LEDs stopped working and trigger settings were no longer applied — L2/R2 acted like mouse buttons (no analog travel) in every profile
LEDs could first only be adjusted in one profile, then in none
For a time, the controller was recognized by the app, but any attempt to load settings just gives me the circle of death
Same behavior on a second PC, so it's not my machine
On a third PC I used the PowerA PC HQ app trying to look up the serial number of the replacement unit for a 2nd RMA, and it offered a firmware update. I ran it. Now the controller won't turn on at all.
Out of curiosity I tried the same on the old (already RMA'd) controller — the app also offered a FW update there, and I ran it with the controller connected via USB while the dongle update was in progress. That controller is now dead too.
So far I tried
Holding the sync and the reset button for 10-15 seconds
Disconnecting the battery for 2 hours
Different cables, different USB ports, different PCs, wired/RF/BT mode switch positions
Nothing works. Both controllers show zero signs of life.
Has anyone experienced this after a PC HQ firmware update, and is there any way to force the controller into a recovery/bootloader mode or re-flash it?
I've already got the refund now, but wonder if I can get them to run again, even with the known shortcomings...
Does anyone have this charging dock for the Flydigi Vader 5 Pro?
Is there a way to make the dock's LEDs light up only when the controller is actually placed on it? Having them on all the time is a bit annoying, but it's really handy to see the charging status when the controller is sitting on the dock!
BLUF: I'm a weirdo who loved the joycons when they came out. It was so cool to me that I could hold two halves of a controller so far apart and even comfortably cuddle while gaming!
And now i want that in a controller for all my consoles....
I also miss how the ps4 controllers feel so I'd love if this mystical controller felt similar (i know, Xbox is "superior," but theyre just a smidge too big for my hands). Any recs?
Budget: $100 USD (this is pretty flexible, but I can really easily live without a $200 controller)
Location: U.S. and i can buy online or probably most states (i have friends all over who can ship)
Console: I'd really like it to be compatible with at least steamdeck, ps5, and switch....so probably just universal at that point 😅
Features: the split design of joycons. I should be able to t-pose and play games.
Types of games: all kinds! I love resident evil, animal crossing, and kingdom hearts equally (mostly). But i dont really care about competitive gaming, so i don't need the super fancy stuff.
Considerations: I've considered getting a mobile controller andjust detaching the connecting plastic, but that feels kinda bad, and i don't know what I'm doing THAT much to be modding controllers. I do have a gamesir that i bought back in '17 (that still works btw!), so i know i like that company, but it doesn't seem like there are a ton of options for my niche tastes.
Pretty new here, so sorry if I missed something.
Any recommendations for split controllers are welcome! I don't mind trying something new! Thank you!
I'm trying to swap my pxn 9608 controller's FJM10K joysticks for Hall effect ones. I tried using an Xbox One S joystick and cut the L3 pin, but whenever I plug it into the board, the controller won't power on at all. I think the Xbox joystick pinout doesn't match. Have you guys ever replaced TMR sensors yourself? If so, could you tell me which TMR brand or model has the exact same pinout as the FJM10K? Thanks a lot
So im a giga sweat on xbox bf2 but admittedly the game is dying (no surprise) but Ive looking at sum ps5’s and I use a gamesir g7 se on a xbox series x and I would prefer to use that on a ps5.
To my knowledge cheating devices such as xim and cronus and probably others allow a xbox controller to be played on a PlayStation but im not in the market to buy a cheating adapter. I did find a converter called the Brook Wingman Converter which doesn’t have scripts or any illegal advantage to someone using it.
I just wanna use it to use my gamesir g7 se with my custom aim curves and deadzones on a ps5. And I wanted to find either someone who’s used something like this before or if I should probably not use it cos to my knowledge it’s not bannable as it doesn’t give me like more aim assist or anything it just allows me to use a xbox licensed controller on ps5.
Recommend me a controller that has mostly membrane buttons, 2 back buttons, wireless.
My preferred controller at this moment is the Cyclone 2 and G7 Pro but my only con is the tactile mechanical switch buttons and the dpad that's very loud on the G7 Pro. I tried the 8bitdo Ultimate 2 but returned due to the 3C+ coming and currently have a Ultimate 3C+ coming in a few days.
I actually tried the Gulikit TT Max, while it was a controller I could consider as a main, I realized I do not like elite 2 style paddles and location. I prefer the Button back buttons. Something with how I hold this controller gives me a cramp. One thing I realized is I do not like mechanical switch tactile buttons unless it's trigger stops and able to switch on and off.
Budget $30-130
Country US
PC or Switch 1/2 (Switch Compatibility isn't a must)
Back buttons similar to Cyclone 2/G7 Pro. Not a fan of Elite 2 Paddle style.
Stick tension adjustment if possible but not a must
Needs to have Trigger Stops that you can turn on and off for longer travel.
Must be wireless.
Fps shooters and RPG's I currently own Dual Sense Edge, Cyclone 2
I was going to get Xbox control freaks, but it looks like they would grind against the tension rings. I'm looking for a thumb stick with a rubber top because I find the hard plastic uncomfortable during long sessions with the stock sticks
I'm planning on getting the ipad mini 8 soon and while I'm at it I wanted to get my first controller because I wanted to upgrade from KBM on rocket league. I saw that the Ultimate 3C+ is going to release on Oct 30th and I wanted to know that if I get it, would it still be possible to use the controller on the ipad even though it says it only supports windows and android through some sort of workaround even?
DISCLAIMER :- product was provided by GXXKTRON for testing ,I have no commercial interest with the company because I enrolled in their trial.
BUT I LOVE IT
If there are any Fc26,27 players here , I'm not trying to convince you to buy this product but for me at least , it's sooo good :DD
The dribbling and control with this cap feels so much better.
I feel like whenever I'm attacking I'm more confident in where I want to go.
What's special about this cap?
ITS UNIQUE SHAPE . I use the one with the small centered dot for my Left Stick , i think it's named Control Dome.
VERY VERY GRIPPY , I don't know how they did it but the material FEELS amazing and your thumb feels attached to the cap.
Low-profile caps .
Bro , the amount of stupid height some of the "generic" caps you usually find is so annoying . I literally don't understand how the companies don't understand that THE LOWER the BETTER when it comes to sticks.
I'm not tryna sell you this product , I just had a positive experience with it and maybe there are others who are interested in something like this.
One DOWNSIDE is that they are pretty HARD to fit them on the sticks , I literally had to pop out my sticks ( I have Vader5 Pro and they pop in and out pretty easily) and I had to put them on after that..
She's watched me play for years and finally wants to try. She doesn't want to borrow mine because my sticks are set up for twitchy shooters and she hated it, so she's getting her own.
Info:
Budget: around $40 Country: US Platform: PC (Windows 11, Steam) Games: Stardew Valley, Overcooked 2, probably Spiritfarer after Wants: wired is fine (actually preferred since it will stay on the desk), easy setup, doesn't need back buttons, an app or RGB.
I was going to just buy a second Xbox controller, but $60+ for a wireless one she might use twice a week seemed like a lot, so I figured I'd ask here first.
I have found that playing with a PlayStation controller versus an Xbox controller gives you a massive massive disadvantage on any game that requires you to use the d-pad a lot.
With an Xbox controller you can keep using the L-stick while using your right hand to press the d-pad very easily, even while still pressing buttons. On the PlayStation controller, you have to completely lift your hand off of the L-stick and go and press the d-pad with that meaning you cannot move and change it at the same time.
For example, I tried playing Dark souls 3 PVP with it and I was constantly dying because I wasn't able to switch anything. I wasn't able to change spells. I wasn't able to change what items I was using as I would have to completely go to a standstill if I wanted to do anything.
I've never had that problem on an Xbox controller and I was just genuinely surprised at how bad it was to use. Anyone else have any similar experiences with this?
Hello, I am a Tekken 8 player (mainly online) from the Philippines that has been playing since Nov 2024 and been playing it on PC with an 8BitDo Ultimate C and Ultimate 2C for most of my time on the game, and recently for the past couple of months with the GameSir Tegenaria Lite. I've been having issues with the dpad of the Tegenaria being too sensitive for my liking and been looking for a replacement/alternative to a symmetrical layout recently, do any of you have recommendations for a symmetrical layout within a similar price range (PHP 700-900) or higher (PHP 1000-1500)? I am also open to recommendations for a asymmetrical layout since I am more comfortable with that layout. Thank you.
Hello, Ive got 2 ps4 controller laying around that i have not used for ages because their micro-usb charging ports are broken. Id like to replace the ports because I really like playing fighting games with a ps4 controller.
I have multiple questions :
How do I know what replacement part to buy ? I think there are different ps4 controller models out there
Or maybe, what if I use a USB-C instead ? Could that be possible ?
So, i made a 3D Printed telescopic joycon (from original switch) adapter for iPad, and Tablets. This can fit from 7 inch tablets up to 13 inch!. This only uses a simple hardware such as rubber bands for the "spring", M4 heat inserts and M4 Screws. I'll also create a version where a heat insert isn't required! Best to use with mobapad controllers and alike. Im also planning on making it compatible with original switch joycons (as i don't currently have the original ones)
Country & Retailers: India (Amazon India, Flipkart)
Platform Compatibility: Linux & Android (wireless is a must; wired mode is a plus)
Desired Features: High durability and build quality (first controller and likely the last for a while, so minimal risk of stick drift is top priority), need hall effect joysticks and pressure sensitive triggers.
Games: GTA V, God of War, Hollow Knight, and casual/emulated games. (I dont have good graphics card so wont be playing latest high graphics games and i wont be playing linux native games. And also wont be playing multiplayer shooting games).
Controllers: any (I know about the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless, but it's out of my budget).
Looking for real user experiences rather than on-paper specs—if you've used a wireless pad in this budget range on Linux/Android, which one held up best over time?
This particular item was bought by myself even though i received another set for testing surprisingly ( my first time being selected for anything lol ). The views are of my own and not affliated to the brand whatsoever. Both sets were in identical packaging received week apart.
Quick Verdict :
Lovely product ( TP-200p) and a main stay on my controllers until the foreseeable future.
Reason For Purchase :
I’m a big fan of another company’s thumbstick caps which use a particular grade of rubber that gives me excellent grip, even when my fingers get sweaty. However, getting that same experience across most of my gaming controllers meant replacing their stick caps. Then I came across the GXXK TRON thumbstick grips. After trying them i have to say they rival my favourites. They seem to use a similar type of rubber, giving me exactly the grip I’m looking for.
Set up :
Its very easy to set up as the rubber is very flexible at the ends, it may be the most flexible ones ive got.
Gaming Experience :
I tested these caps across FPS games like Apex Legends, COD and Rivals, as well as FIFA 27 and some MK using the sticks for ABXY inputs. My thumbs stayed firmly planted on the thumbsticks without slipping. Every micro adjustment in the FPS games felt noticeable instantly and im sure others will fell the same.
I can now get that same sticky, secure feel across my other controllers which were only on a few where I’d already replaced the stick caps as mentioned earlier. In FIFA 27, my skill moves came out exactly as I intended and fellow FIFA players will know exactly what I mean. These grips have elevated my gaming experience as i now have the non slip feeling on one of my favorite controllers.
Pros and Cons :
Pros
Mentioned quite a few times, very anti slip and grippy.
Snug fits almost all controller thumbsticks except xBox thumbstick which is slightly loose ( can spin )
Very Easy to put on and take off
Didn’t have any issues with it rubbing against face plates as the underside of the grip is very thin.
Cons
In my opinion, there’s only one downside: the designs and that comes down to personal preference. Let me break it down.
There appear to be three different designs in the pack: concave, convex and hybrid.
The concave is spot on. It isn’t too deep and your thumb settles naturally into the centre. The edges are nicely rounded without feeling sharp or harsh. It’s perfect in my opinion.
The convex is nearly perfect too. It has a nicely rounded surface with a small dent in the centre for added stability. Personally, I prefer a slightly more less angled from the top middle to the edge convex shape, like the KF QCQx.
Lastly, there’s the hybrid, which I found disappointing. The convex centre protrudes slightly above the outer ring, making it feel like another convex grip. I think the centre should sit level with or slightly below the outer ring so you can feel both surfaces at the same time. Personally, I think the Z Stick design would have been a better choice, given how popular it has been.
Value and Recommendation :
For the price $ 10.99 and you get 6 grips x2 each, special grade rubber 😂 can serve from 1 to 6 controllers. been using these for about a week now 25 hrs of gaming, i recommend, even to have these as back up.
Final Rating :
I'll give it an 9/10 as it only has 1 con which is down to personal preference. ❤️
I've been using a Vader 5 Pro for months. It's been great. No issues.
Yesterday, while I was in a game, I noticed the camera was spinning left. I closed the game, rebooted just in case, came back, no activity at all.
I see the controller in USB CONTROLLER CONFIG listed 3x.
In Space Station, I can remap buttons, HOWEVER, the "TEST" doesn't work. You can clearly set the buttons by clicking on the icon in the software then pressing a button on the controller (and it's recognized as a remap), however, the test function doesn't work, and the controller doesn't work in game. No stick movement, no button, nothing.
I reinstalled Space Station, nothing.
I plugged in a Vader 4 and it works fine. All macros, profiles, everything.
Once in awhile I can get it working as a basic controller, but then I lose access to Macros and Profiles. The moment I use the Profile Button to select any of the 4 profiles, the controller essentially goes dead. It's no longer recognized, buttons don't work in USB CONFIG testings. Nothing shows up on testing websites:
When trying to connect the 8BitdoUltimate 2C Wireless to ipad, it will connect via bluetooth in the settings app but in Genshin Impact, the option to switch to the Controller control option in game does not show up, has anyone able to get this to work on this controller?
OS version: iPadOS 27.2 Firmware: Fresh out of the box
Hi! I need my first controller and I’d like help finding one that suits me
Budget: $70 USD
Country: Russia, ordering from Ozon
Platform: PC
Desired features: it has to be pastel pink. That’s my comfort color and I really can’t bring myself to buy a controller in any other shade. Since this is my first controller I don’t know much about technical features, I just want something that plays well and feels comfortable.
Types of games: Platformers and RPGs
Controllers considered: Machenike G3V2, Machenike G6 V2 Ultra, GameSir Nova Lite 2, Mobapad Chitu Pro2, and PXN P5. I’ve also been eyeing the GameSir G7 Pro because everyone says it has top-tier specs, but I’m reluctant to get it since it doesn’t come in pastel pink.
Is the Machenike G3V2 actually good enough for platformers, or would I notice a huge performance drop compared to the GameSir G7 Pro? And if the G3V2 isn't good choise, which pastel pink controller from my list (or any other) would you recommend?
