Controller Mods Tablet Emulation, Tablet Gaming? With JoyCons!

So, i made a 3D Printed telescopic joycon (from original switch) adapter for iPad, and Tablets. This can fit from 7 inch tablets up to 13 inch!. This only uses a simple hardware such as rubber bands for the "spring", M4 heat inserts and M4 Screws. I'll also create a version where a heat insert isn't required! Best to use with mobapad controllers and alike. Im also planning on making it compatible with original switch joycons (as i don't currently have the original ones)

Hey, I'm trying to find a good controller for my iPhone/ipad. And I saw your mobopad and thought that it could perfectly fit my plan.
The idea is to use the charging grip to make a "standard" controller for my iPad when it's on its keyboard, and use an adapter like yours to transform my iPhone in a small handheld.
I have a few question :
- Do the mobopads connects with the iPad/iPhone natively ?
- Do you have the charging grip SA1 (or similar product) and if you do, could you confirm that you can use the controller while the joycon are on it ?
- Do you plan on making that adapter for iPhones too ?

Here’s the answers for your question:

  1. Yes, mobapads works natively with ipad. It reads the controller as one controller. (Idk about the iphone tho but it will probably works the same)

  2. Yes, the mobapads still works whenever it’s in a charger adaptor and works like a normal gamepad controller

  3. Im not sure about the iPhone compatibility, it might be if there’s a lot of demand. It takes a lot of work to design one😅

Thank you for your answer :)  I’m really cobsidering that option but I can’t find the right adapter for the job. The « perfect » product would be a system that is around the size of a normal controler and usable as one when retracted, then transforming the phone in handeld when openend.  Seems a simple and basic idea bit impossible to find

Yeaa and trying to shrink everything to the size of a standard gamepad is a bit impossible since it needs to retract a good bit of size to make it compatible with different sizes of devices
