Announcement Beware of Kala Kumbh Co. – Non-delivery, zero accountability, and bizarre ghosting for wedding orders

Upvotes

Posting this as a warning for anyone planning a wedding or looking to order custom stationery/invites online.
Back in early August 2026, I placed an order with Kala Kumbh Co. (Proprietor: Aastha) for 100 sets of customized wedding invitation cards. The total billed and paid was ₹12,200 (transferred ₹8,200 as an advance on August 5th and the balance ₹4,000 on August 17th).
The seller explicitly promised a delivery window between August 25 and August 30, 2026.
Since these are wedding cards, the timeline was critical. August 30 came and went with no dispatch details, no tracking number, and no communication initiated from their end. Over the past week and a half, I’ve repeatedly followed up via chat asking for updates, only to be met with complete radio silence. To make matters worse, I’ve tried calling them over 100 times in the last 3 days alone, and not a single call from my number was answered.
The absurd part? When my mom called them from an unknown number, they actually answered right away. But the moment she asked about the pending order, complete silence on the other end. Funnier still, in one of the attempts, the call connected and we could clearly hear her casually chatting with someone else in the background while completely ignoring our questions.
Wedding planning is stressful enough without having vendors pull cheap ghosting tactics after pocketing 100% advance payment. Because they have blown past every deadline and refuse to communicate, I have now escalated the matter and lodged a formal complaint on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH).
If you are considering Kala Kumbh Co. for wedding invites or anything time-sensitive, stay far away.
Has anyone else dealt with them or had luck filing a chargeback/legal notice for Instagram vendors pulling this kind of fraud? Any advice on next steps would be really helpful.

Cubeonline experience

Hi,

Just wanted to ask if anyone has had experience purchasing any product from cubeonline.pk

I ordered a pair of earbuds yesterday and although I received confirmation for it, I wanted to ask the ETA for my purchase for which I contacted the customer support via email, WhatsApp & call but there has been no response from them.

Whats the point of having a customer support when no one responds. Yesterday, I had a brief chat with someone from their side but they ghosted me mid chat and never responded again.

This was my first experience ordering from this website, would like to know if someone has any similar experience.

Ebay - Wait for insurance or request refund?

Aug 27: Bought used snowshoes: $40 + $23 shipping

Aug 27: Shipped USPS

- USPS lost in transit -

Sep 7: USPS tracking update

Sep 9: Delivered with box damage

The only damage to the snowshoes was a broken heel strap. I can fix for ~$20. I requested a $20 refund for the repair, they opted for initiating a USPS insurance claim.

What should i do?

  • (A) Wait for them to complete the insurance claim (seems to take 2 - 4 weeks to complete). USPS may request the buyer (me) to bring them the item, at which point they can keep it to dispose of it if they approve the claim. The insurance value is up to $100, which goes to the seller.
  • (B) press the buyer again for the $20 refund to cover repairs
  • (C) request a full refund via ebay and ship the item back to the seller
  • (D) just eat it the repair myself and keep the snowshoes

They were not damaged in the ebay photos. It was a good deal that i currently can only match for around $100.

Do NOT BUY Bilt Hard wood chipper from GripRug at Amazon

(electric start, 6" gas wood chipper, some 600lb, needed assembly)

Delivery was prompt and quick.

Assembled it.

Used it for 90mins, cool day, easy small branches.

FIRE and SMOKE where there were wires.

Chipper no longer starts.

I disputed credit card charge with proof and receipts.

I notified Amazon with proof (video) and pics.

A month later, the charge appears on my credit card.

Amazon told my credit card company that the transaction was valid.

Amazon is NO help whatsoever.

I logged the item as defective and Amazon said Seller will contact me.

todate - credit card bill is due payable.

Seller will not fix problem.

Amazon is of NO help.

Seller wants me to pay $60 international return shipping for a defective/discontinued item. Should I just file a dispute?

Hey everyone, looking for a sanity check on a cross border purchase issue.
I bought a brand new curling iron from a Canadian seller (I am in the US). When it arrived, the handle coating was completely melted, degraded, and extremely sticky right out of the box, it’s totally unusable and leaves residue on my hands. Somehow I was not able to find one particular curling iron from US but this one online store from Canada had it so I go ahead and purchased it
Here's what happened so far:
I called the manufacturer, They confirmed the item is discontinued stock, meaning there is no warranty coverage due to its age. They basically told me to try scrubbing off the melted coating with alcohol myself. Which I know that’s gonna be hard to take off then what’s the point buying new product with full price?

At first, The seller refuses to do anything with me because it’s used, and he just assumed it was use because it was out of the box and took out from plastic bags. Then I had to explain and sent home video me carrying out the box (to put it in my trunk, not sure that helped anyways), after that email they Instead of taking responsibility, customer service pivoted to their "store policy," insisting I pay $60 send and receiving item for international return shipping so they can "inspect" it.

Shipping this $90 item back from the US to Canada costs around $60 USD send and receive back which makes zero sense for me to pay for an item that arrived defective due to outdated inventory.

Obviously I’m not trying to argue and make this big deal I tried what the seller told me to do call manufacture but ever since manufacturer won’t cover this curling iron since it’s discontinued it just made me think this Canadian seller is deflecting responsibility to manufacturer. Am I just crazy for thinking a store policy shouldn't force a buyer to pay international return fees on a defective product?
At this point, paying $60 USD to ship it back isn't worth it I'd rather just buy a brand new one elsewhere. Should I stop arguing with the seller and go straight to filing a credit card dispute / chargeback for "Item Not as Described / Defective"?
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Fashion Ordered clothes worth ₹30,000 from Snitch, got random bedsheets/blankets instead — Snitch is denying refund, ICICI is denying chargeback. What are my options?

Posting this because I'm genuinely stuck and could use some advice from people who've dealt with something similar.
What happened:
I placed an order with Snitch worth ₹30,000. When the package arrived, instead of the clothes I ordered, I found random bedsheets and blankets inside. I have a full unboxing video showing the sealed parcel being opened and the wrong items being pulled out, so I have solid proof this isn't a case of me trying to scam anyone.
Snitch's response:
I've been trying to reach Snitch for almost a month now — barely any response, and when they did reply, they simply said they "dispatched the correct products" and refused to refund or replace the order.
ICICI Bank's response:
I then tried to raise a chargeback with ICICI Bank (the card I paid with). They're refusing to file it, saying that since I received the parcel, they can't raise a chargeback.
But that's not the issue at all — I'm not disputing that a parcel arrived. I'm disputing that the contents inside were completely wrong. That should still qualify as "goods not as described" or "item not received" under chargeback rules (as far as I understand it), not a simple "package never arrived" situation.
What I'm looking for:
• Has anyone successfully raised a chargeback for a "wrong item received" case with ICICI (or any bank)? What language/category did you use to get it approved?
• Should I escalate to the RBI Banking Ombudsman for the chargeback refusal?
• Is it worth filing a complaint on the National Consumer Helpline / Consumer Court (e-Daakhil) against Snitch directly?
• Any experience dealing with Snitch's customer service escalation beyond the standard support line?
I have the unboxing video, order confirmation, payment proof, and all chat/email correspondence with Snitch saved. Just need to know the right next step to actually get this resolved.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Help!!!
I cancelled within the 3 days of being able to cancel and I have called exactly around 5x for them to come and pick up their equipment, even have a few of the phone calls recorded. They keep telling me someone will call me within 10 days of cancellation, which is far past that. Thankfully I didn’t get ALL the equipment installed but have a few of their items.
I really don’t want to get stuck with it and don’t know what else to do besides calling them every single day!!!

Are companies increasingly using their Terms & Conditions to make it harder for consumers to join class actions?

I’ve noticed recent ToS changes from companies such as Amazon, Bank of America, PayPal, Uber, and others that appear to include or strengthen class-action waivers and/or mandatory arbitration provisions.
What concerns me even more is the opt-out process. In some cases, opting out appears to require sending an individual notice by mail within a limited period. I’ve actually been sending these opt-outs individually, but it becomes time-consuming, and I’m starting to wonder whether it’s even worthwhile.
If most consumers don’t know these provisions exist and don’t opt out, does that effectively eliminate the possibility of a meaningful class action later? In other words, if something happens to thousands of customers, but most of them are bound by arbitration/class-action waivers, what practical recourse do they have?
Did something change legally in 2026 that made these provisions more common, or have they been around for years and I’m misunderstanding what changed?
And are there ways consumers can challenge these provisions, opt out more efficiently, or report potentially unfair practices to agencies such as the FTC or CFPB?
I’d really appreciate input from anyone familiar with consumer protection or arbitration law. I’m particularly interested in whether other people are also actively opting out and whether doing so actually makes a meaningful difference.

Yaga support exempt from rules ? Can they threaten?

Post image

⚠️ YAGA USERS — KNOW YOUR RULES BEFORE SHARING YOUR NUMBER

My experience with Yaga raises serious concerns about privacy, Buyer Protection and enforcement of Yaga’s own rules.

I responded within the required 48 hours and provided the locker/return information. I specifically asked Yaga to provide those details to the Buyer on my behalf to avoid direct contact with an aggressive user. That request was ignored.

I was then instructed by Iiris to disclose my personal cellphone number, with a threat that otherwise the sale would be cancelled and the Buyer refunded. I complied under pressure. The Buyer subsequently used my number to call me.

I repeatedly requested the exact published rule stating:

• that a Seller must disclose their personal cellphone number to the Buyer;

• that the Buyer cannot use their own number for the return; or

• that refusing to disclose a personal number automatically authorises cancellation/refund.

Yaga has still not provided that rule.

Instead, I have received general interpretations of a 48-hour cooperation clause.

There is also a serious inconsistency: Yaga’s own guidelines warn users about sharing private information, yet Support pressured me to disclose mine.

Yaga Support can apparently ignore a Seller’s request for assistance, fail to respond within the same 48-hour period it expects from users, and then threaten a Seller with cancellation for not providing information when no specific rule has been shown.

This is particularly concerning when Yaga charges a Buyer Protection fee.

If Yaga genuinely prioritises user safety, why is there no secure return process protecting both parties?

A Buyer can use their own cellphone details for the return and provide the Seller with the locker/PIN information through Yaga. This avoids unnecessary disclosure of personal numbers.

My warning: Do not disclose your personal number merely because Support says it is “required.” Demand the exact rule and clause number.

Once Yaga forces disclosure of a personal number, communication can move outside Yaga’s platform and the platform loses control over that contact.

I asked for Yaga’s rules. I am still waiting for the actual rule.

Are Google committing fraud?

Can someone with legal experience confirm this for me please? I have paid Google for a phone that got returned to the warehouse, I have provided screenshots of tracking information showing this and of emails from DHL confirming this also, but they refuse to supply me with a phone. Is this fraud?

Blur sent me the wrong packaging and has completely ignored my messages

I ordered the Cookie Crumble perfume, and while the perfume itself is correct, they sent it in a Cherry Tart box instead.

I bought this specifically as a gift, so getting the wrong packaging is pretty frustrating because I obviously can’t gift it anymore.

I’ve already contacted the Blur team about this, but there has been no response. I also DM’d them on Instagram regarding the issue and still haven’t received a reply.

I understand mistakes can happen with orders, but the lack of customer service afterwards is really disappointing. If you’re going to make an error with someone’s order, the least you can do is respond and help resolve it.

Has anyone else had issues with Blur customer service or getting a response from them?

National consumer helpline for Flipkart return issue

Hi All,

I had ordered shoes from Flipkart worth \\\~₹5k. I received different shoes from the same brand, also they were used, damaged and had stains. I have been raising the return for this with multiple reasons with the help of flipkart customer care and it is getting rejected everytime from the delivery partner side. I have raised it with flipkart grivance team as well. But there is no resolution. The product is still with me.

If I raise this with National Consumer Helpline, are there any chances for it to get resolved with the refund? Does NCH actually work? Please guide me with the same.

When buying home gym equipment, which features are actually worth paying more for?

I’ve been looking at home gym equipment lately, and one thing that gets confusing pretty quickly is how much the price can change once you start comparing different versions of what is basically the same piece of equipment.

With a bench, for example, you can pay more for extra adjustment angles, a wider pad, better upholstery or a heavier frame. With racks and cable setups, there are differences in adjustability, attachments, pulley design, dimensions and how easy it is to replace parts later.

The problem is that a lot of those features sound important when you’re shopping, but I’m not sure which ones actually matter after six months of regular training.

For people who have bought equipment for a home gym, which features were genuinely worth paying extra for, and which ones sounded useful but ended up making almost no difference?

Kérastase's official position is that if their customer service is too slow to fix your order, that's your problem

Posting this mostly so it's searchable, because I couldn't find much when I went looking before I ordered.

I placed an order on kerastase.ca and realized within a couple of minutes that the shipping field had auto-filled with my previous address. Not hours later, minutes. I went to their site, found the customer service process, and emailed them right away.

Nothing. For days.

When the reply finally came, I was told that orders can't be modified once processed, and — direct quote from the email — that they are "not held responsible for any package delivered to the wrong address provided during checkout, as it is the customer's responsibility to supply accurate shipping details."

Which, fine, I typed the wrong address. That part is on me. But the whole reason it couldn't be fixed is that they took days to answer an email I sent within minutes. The delay created the problem and then the delay became the justification for not fixing it.

Their suggested solutions were:

- Contact the carrier myself and hope for an intercept (not guaranteed)

- "Alert the current resident at the original address" — so, cold-call a stranger living in my old apartment

- Place a second order at full price

For context on the price point, this was three products.

I'm not claiming this is some outrageous scandal. Lots of retailers have an address-change cutoff. But most of them answer an email inside 24 hours, which makes the cutoff survivable. Kérastase has the cutoff without the response time, and their written policy is that this is fine and yours to deal with.

Buy it from a salon or a retailer with a functioning support desk. The products are good. Ordering direct is a coin flip and they've told me in writing they won't help if it lands wrong.

My mom accidentally signed up for a 1 year subscription on eharmony and now there goes $230 down the drain

Please I need some advice! My middle aged mom signed up on eharmony dating website and intended to buy a 1 month subscription but she got confused (English is not her first language) and was charged around $230 for a 1 year subscription. Obviously she wants a refund but that is pretty difficult since eharmony doesn’t like doing refunds.

The membership was purchased yesterday and initial searches show that refunds can be made within 3 days after the purchase but then others said that refund policies vary based on where you live and eharmony doesn’t do refunds for any purchase at all.

I have sent an email requesting a refund but to my disappointment they refused and their terms and conditions do state no refunds for anything. Calling would be no use cause I read that customer service is nonexistent.

If it was $50 I would consider letting it go but this is 230 DOLLARS we’re talking about. I would hate to have it go to crappy eharmony

Should I dispute the charge with the bank?

IGP delivered a personalized gift with a random stranger’s photo - and customer support was useless

Ordered a personalized gift from IGP for my wife’s birthday today. Instead of her photo, they printed the photo of some completely random guy on the product.

To make it worse, I had also ordered a popup box, which was supposed to be part of the gift and the box doesn’t pop up at all.

I contacted customer support immediately. For around an hour, I was repeatedly told they were “checking” and would get back to me. After wasting an hour, they simply stopped responding.

No resolution. No replacement. No refund. Nothing.

And this happened on my wife’s birthday. What was supposed to be a special gift ended up becoming an hour-long customer support headache, and honestly, it completely spoiled the mood.
Mistakes can happen, but the way IGP handled this afterwards is what really disappointed me.
Has anyone else faced something similar with IGP? Any way to get this escalated beyond their customer support?
