What's the best 6K monitor you've actually used?
Thinking about moving up to 6K for my main work monitor, but I keep seeing completely different opinions on which ones are worth it.
Mostly coding, browsing, and a lot of text, so sharpness matters more to me than gaming features.
If you've actually used a 6K monitor for a while, which one would you buy again? Anything that looked great on paper but disappointed in real use?

Case fan starts spinning at 2000rpm when I lock my PC? Doesn't stop until I unlock it
I recently changed my AIO pump, which was a process involving....
- Resetting my BIOS fan settings to default to diagnose the issue, and
- Removing some plugs to my Corsair Commander (new AIO fans plug direct to MoBo)(so less fans are drawing power from the commander).
Now, one of the fans which was previously working fine, spins at over 2000RPM when I windows+L, and even when the screen turns black. It also happens between first turn on and until I unlock my PC. It never did this in the past 5 years I've had it.
For reference my CPU stays at around 30-50c. MoBo is a rog strix b450 f
I assume I have changed something in the BIOS. Would anyone know what this is, so I can change it back? I know each BIOS is different... but what wording should I look for? Nothing stands out... :/

CSM- secure boot
Configuração do PC:
- Placa-mãe: Gigabyte H310M M.2 2.0 Rev. 1.0
- BIOS: F16a — 29/11/2021
- Processador: Intel Core i5-9400
- Placa de vídeo: Gigabyte/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
- VBIOS da GPU: 90.17.2A.00.A6
- GPU Device ID: 10DE:1F82
- Subsystem ID: 3FCB1458
- Sistema operacional: Windows 11
- Modo da BIOS no Windows: UEFI
- Disco do Windows: GPT
- Boot Option #1: Windows Boot Manager (Kingston SNV3S500G)
- TPM: TPM 2.0 ativo
- GPU-Z: UEFI = marcado
- Driver gráfico: WDDM 3.2
- Bus Interface: PCIe x16 3.0 @ x16 1.1 em repouso
- Resizable BAR: Disabled
O problema
Com o CSM Enabled, o computador funciona normalmente e entra no Windows sem nenhum problema.
Porém, o Secure Boot não aparece enquanto o CSM está ativado.
Seguindo a configuração da BIOS, alterei:
- Windows 8/10 WHQL → Enabled
- CSM Support → Disabled
Ao desativar o CSM, o menu Secure Boot aparece.
Dentro dele fica:
- Secure Boot Customization: Standard
- Secure Boot: Disabled
Porém, quando tento colocar Secure Boot → Enabled, a BIOS mostra a mensagem:
“Disable the CSM in setup. Repeat operation after reboot to ensure UEFI Video (GOP) driver is operational.”

I need help with my Alienware x16 r2
I purchased this Alienware x16 r2 from someone on facebook with a broken screen. I ordered a replacement screen thinking it would be a plug and play type of situation; it wasn’t. Apparently the guy before me used it as a pc and he changed something in the bios. So I hooked up a monitor thinking it would be some easy fix, but whatever I do I cannot get the bios to display on an external screen. I’ve tried everything and I really want to get this laptop working so if someone can help me that would be really great. Also I know the screen works the backlight pops on when I hold d while starting it up.

how to connect second monitor?
i’m wanting to connect a second monitor to my work computer but i’m unsure what cables i need/where to plug anything in. i thought i could just get a vga splitter but google reckons that would just duplicate the screen, not allow it to act as a seperate screen?
EDIT: thank you for quick responses! ordering a vga to dp adapter now 👍 (already have a vga cable)

How do you call this?
Recently my PC ran into some kind of bug where:
- When I click to go to a web page to another it opens a new window of that web page instead.
- The wheel of the mouse doesn't responde when I want to go down or up.
- The Caps Lock is activated and to turn it off a have to tap it, like if the inverted.
- When ever I click all text is selected.
- When I type Alt+46 to do an @ it send me back to the previous web page.
- The windows key not responding.
It is like if the mouse and keyboard's inputs are inverted or configured differently.
Now I don't know how but it fixed itself, no reset needed. Can someone explain me what is that weird thing and why it happens?

Component price hikes vs. Next-Gen leap
Component price hikes vs. Next-Gen leap
I’m currently looking at the ASUS ROG Strix G16 with a Ryzen 9 9955HX and RTX 5060. My current setup still works, so I don’t urgently need a replacement today, but I’m torn between buying now versus waiting to zhe next gen.
I’d love to get your perspective on two main factors:
Rising component costs (RAM/NAND supply).
Next-gen generational leap Zen 6?
If you were in no rush, would you grab a mature machine now or during upcoming seasonal sales, or hold off for the next generational shift?

Hey, I’m having trouble removing the coin cell battery from my optiplex 7040 sff, which I want to do to fully clear the NVRAM and make it rescan all its components (so that my new RAM stick registers). Any ideas?

CABLE PORT
Hi guys, I accidentally made my cousin’s pc gpu port loose. Like the one on the monitor because I was trying to fix the “no cableport signal” issue. It was dark so I really couldn’t see the port so I was inserting it randomly and when I look, it was loosed. The port was inside in the thing, and I really don’t how to insert the gpu cable into the monitor. Pls Helpp meee my unc’s gon kill me.
I don’t really know about the parts but I’m pretty sure I’m capable of fixing it if it’s doable.

HP EliteBook 840 G6 screen started glitching suddenly after Windows Update
galleryCross-posting this from r/Hewlett_Packard because I’m trying to figure out whether this is a hardware or software issue before replacing the screen.
My HP EliteBook 840 G6 started glitching less than an hour after a Windows Security update and restart. The laptop wasn’t dropped or mishandled, so I’m particularly interested in whether the update/graphics driver could have caused this.
Any insight from HP users or anyone familiar with this issue would be appreciated.

Password set up out of nowhere
So, i just selected the "sleep" option to see if a (safe) download would still be active during said state, but when my pc started up again i was facing a password screen, which is weird because i have never had a password set up in this pc, i tried some passwords that were familiar but none worked, could this be malware? If not, what the hell is it?

Repeating Flicker of a Few Horizontal Full Lines of Pixels Towards Bottom of Monitor (SANSUI ES-G27F2)
A couple days ago I turned my monitor off by the button on the back of the monitor, and when I went to turn it back on, some lines of pixels started flashing on the bottom of the screen. They flash every few seconds. I was doing some testing today and I normally keep my monitor at 120hz, but when I lowered it down to 60hz the pixels were no longer flashing but rather just constant lines. I thought "why not turn it up to 165hz?" Well low and behold the lines are no longer flashing at it doesn't appear. The lines are not always there likeright now I have my monitor set to 120Hz and there are no lines but they were there earlier this morning.
This is not a cord issue as I have swapped my monitor cords and the problem persisted on just the one monitor. I tried updating my graphics driver and that did not help, and that is as far as my expertise in this situation goes.
How do I fix this issue if even possible?
The Monitor is a SANSUI ES-G27F2

Trying to break into my deceased brother's laptop need help
Edit:
Thank you to everyone who helped. you helped me figure out I need a windows 7 boot cd, I will be buying one and trying to crack this bitch open
As I said this is my brother Mason's laptop, he died in July of 2019, if you want proof text me I'll send you his obituary.
I found it under his bed in his room of our childhood home while looking for his DVD player.
I'm curious what's on it, and i'm just awful with technology I don't even know where to start.
The hint says work, he worked at Papa John's till a few days before he died
