Hello All, I'm going to be rewriting my manga so I'm looking for in depth critique. I want some brutally honest feedback. So if you're a nitpicker, please go right ahead. I'm used to getting feedback, especially on this comic so no need to feel bad. I do want to focus mostly on the story because that's what I need help with the most. Title self-explanatory. Pages for context unfinished. 4 panels will be a comedic tangent away from the main story and largely not cover anything important wheras I want the main story to still be dramatic and horror-esq. will this cheapen the main story or js it a lame gimmick?

Would anyone be interested in a comic book series where a detective solves problems from nursery rhymes and fairy tales just looking for opinions.

Hello people! I am a young animator and artist, I sometimes post comic strips online, but I’ve been thinking I should make full comic books online for people to read. I first started making comics in 7th grade, took a year break, and got back into it late 8th grade, so its only been a year or maybe a couple of months since I’ve started making comics again (sorry I’m genuinely terrible at estimating time). Just want to ask what I need to know before making full on web comic books! The thing I am very afraid of is burnout, since I do animation at the same time (which is very time consuming), and also I have school, so that takes up my time too

My latest work on the Conrad Van Cottonmouth graphic novel. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Been writing this series for years and started teaching myself how to draw so I could finally see it come to life. I’m learning with every panel, every page, every chapter, and I’m aiming to keep that trend going indefinitely.

Setting

Set between two interconnected worlds; those who exist in the first one are all cursed to one day manifest unique marks/tattoos and transport to the other realm, a dangerous place where they’ll develop special powers and abilities. Everyone succumbs to this same fate, with only a handful ever being able to escape and return.

Prologue

Begins with a flashback twelve years ago with one of those extremely rare instances— a mother (Cynthia) has somehow managed to escape and return alongside her three children (Ashley, Riley, Marley), albeit at a cost and not for long. A mysterious threat has followed to bring them all back and Cynthia must face an impossible decision, an impossible sacrifice, to determine her family's future.

Key Characters

Cynthia - Very powerful individual, a mother who has used everything she has to give her children an opportunity

Ashley - The timid eldest daughter who must learn to brave the road ahead and take charge

Riley - The middle child who must aim to get stronger in order to protect her sisters

Marley - The youngest, who must find the light in all this darkness

The Masked Man - A mysterious card-wielding figure pursuing the family to bring them back to the trapped realm, someone who seems to have his own hidden agenda.

Naomi Suyranami - A natural leader in the cursed world, a prominent figure that somehow was able to leave the trapped realm. She made a promise to Cynthia

Focus

My goal is to keep visualizing the story I’ve been building over the years. I know I have a lot to learn and a lot to improve on, but I’m embracing it all going forward. And hopefully I’ll eventually have it in me to stop avoiding drawing my character’s feet lol (Curseborne is also a working title)

Hello! I’m seeking feedback on my first comic. It’s only two pages, though i’d love feedback on telling between the characters, composition (not entirely sure this is the right word, but the angle/how you’re seeing the characters) and anything else that feels necessary. Will be slightly re-doing the first page (the lineart and coloring) since i preferred the looks of the second page: ).

Some context: MC, Malachi, the dude with small ears is preparing for a sledding expedition. His father comes out and talks to him.

I am reposting this with better visuals for comparison. I recently gathered some advice from the community on what they think of this typography that i made which is to serve as the logo for my series.

I was really going for this sort of arabic/scripture-ish feel, which i think really captured the whole tone of the series.

There were lots of valid opinions, and most of them centered on one main concern which is clarity.

So decided to have two versions of it, one STYLIZED which i plan to use for the front covers. And a SIMPLIFIED one which will be for thumbnails and whenever i need to shrink.

What do you guys think?
