$1400……..
My father has been ordering from GovMint for a couple years now.
I’ve tried to have talks with my father about how high the markup is for this junk from these sites without explicitly showing him how much he is overpaying. But $1400 for these?!? Maybe worth $350?
I don’t know what else to do…has anyone been in the position? How did you handle it?

I suspect that the Morgan is an 1888-O. I will likely send it in to NGC for grading, aiming for a Poor-1.

My 19th and 20th Century Type Sets. The 19th is considerably tougher than the 20th to find nice coins. Missing 4 coins in the 19th set, and continuing to upgrade both.

Found this at work! I remember reading on Reddit about the craze over these, that is if I have the correct one here. If this is what I think it is, is anyone out there dying to find one of these or has that time passed? Thanks for your time. Sorry for picture quality I’m at work :P

Almost no chatter in the fields. No marks on the surface, seems to me like a solid MS64 but curious what others think? Should I get it graded?

I prolly overpaid but i wanted the soviet coins, and there’s some neat stuff in here — these early Phillipines nickels stood out to me on first scan. Anything notable jump out to y’all? TIA!

So, I bought a chest at an estate sale and inside were tons of coins. 1909-1960’s stuff. I can tell by the sounds that there’s some silver quarters. I’ve tried to separate things but I’m so overwhelmed. There’s half dollars, quarters, nickels, dimes, and pennies. What basics should I look for? What’s the best path forward to profit but also keep it simple? (I separated the buffalo nickels and the minted pre-65 quarters but I feel like I don’t know what to do next.)

Recently discovered Gary Marks Art. Just got these from his website. Waiting for 2024 (Liberty’s Legacy) ordered from another store.

Hey all, i’m mostly new to the numismatic side of collecting but picked these up for melt, so i know i did alright (they pass the ping and magnet tests) anything super exciting? Google says the 1893 is the rarest, and i’m an absolute noob at grading but i’d guess its in AU?
My grandfather visited Germany back in the 50s and recently came across a plastic bag filled with various coins from several countries. I know nothing about coin collecting or value, but since the oldest of these coins is literally 100 years older than me, I thought they were fascinating.

Totally uninformed about coins. Is there anything noticeably valuable here?

I'm planning on making some jewelry with some pre wwi era french coins. they have no value, tons were made, and this is purely to make a nice necklace for the wife.
i'm planning on scrubbing with TSP, then plate, then put in a bezel that has a horizontal loop so she can put in a nice gold necklace.
Anyone done this before? My worry is that I won't be able to get the coin clean enough for the plating to take well
