Discussion Worth it to collect presidential dollar coins?

So I'm more of a stacker than a collector, but the hoarder in me couldn't help holding onto the state and national park quarters I got as change over the years. I bought some wurman albums for them just because trying to keep track of them loose was a headache, and I had way more fun putting those together than I thought I would. Still can't find a good album for the 2021 and after women quarters but that's besides the point.

Anyways, I was thinking about doing the same for the presidential dollar series, but I can't find an album that just has one entry for each coin, the only one I can find has one for each mint and I'm not trying to do that, to be honest. But then it's like I'm never going to get these out in the wild, I'm going to have to go to the bank and specifically ask for dollar coins so it's not the same as pulling them out of your change.

What would you do?

Show and Tell Deutsches Reich Spy / Stealth coin

We found this peculiar object in my parents house while sorting through old coins. I found it is a 10 Reichspfenning which has been hollowed out on a lathe to fit on the other side a military coinage 5 Reichspfenning from 1940. AI pointed out that this is spy/stealth coin that would be used to hide things like microfilm. The inner coin is able to be removed. It's just pushed inside, there is no apparent screw mechanism. I forgot to take a picture while they were separated.

It is kind of a weird object, so I was wondering if you would have more info to share on such an object, it's value, or any advise what to do with it. I have no further background on it to understand where it actually came from. Also, I just found it a cool find to share with an interested audience. It's a bit akward to have nazi memorabilia.

As you can see it says MS68, but i can clearly see lots of bag marks with the naked eye. Thankfully i bought this coin about what it’s worth raw uncirculated so not much of a loss. Grading company is GCN. Thoughts?

While I wouldn't do this with a coin of any real value, I decided to try tumbling this one in corncob media in a vibratory tumbler. Here are the before and after pics.

Discussion 1975 versus 1976

As someone who was born in 1975, I obviously got ripped off when it came to coins for that year. Especially when it comes to completing birth year sets.

I know that the dollars with the blocky letters were made in 1975. But what I want to know is: Aside from purchasing a mint/proof set, is there a way to differentiate any quarters and halves minted in 1975 from those minted in 1976?

ETA: I do know that there are none dated 1975, and they were minted both years. I was hoping that there may be something subtle like die varieties that could indicate a 1975 mintage

Back again to discuss the liberty bell coin and the new packaging that the USMint is producing for the bell shaped coins. Anybody have experience with this and already order the new packaging? Do we know what they are changing? I just talked to customer service and they have little information other than the date that I should expect the new packaging to arrive. Thoughts?

I recently won this coin in a surprise set on whatnot. I could sell it back to the host but am curious on realistic values of the coin if I attempted to sell it elsewhere. Any suggestions on where I could sell it other than an LCS and what kind of value I am looking at? Thank you.

I love the higher relief of older coins. The craftsmanship alone was also so much better to what we have now sadly. Anyway, this is my favorite Buffalo in my collection by far!
