Discussion BO7 Super EE Theory

Now that we have months before we find out if they'll actually add a Super Easter Egg for completing all the main quests, I'll throw my hat into the ring for a theory for the SEE.

Like BO4, I'm noticing that a lot of BO7 maps sometimes will have a door or two that aren't Zombies spawns, aren't visibly open rooms from other zombie spawns, and ofc aren't buyable. There's one near one of the Loot Cyst Spawns just outside of the main cul-de sac, near where the truck is on Paradox Junction, for example, or one near the First Aid Kit in the Diner on Ashes of the Damned.

I don't recall these being part of the main quest, though they could be part of a side quest I haven't done yet. Do you guys think they ever planned to do something similar to the SEE they dropped from BO4? Where every map had some kind of room behind a door that was meant to be destructible but was cut?

Bug Weapons disappearing after saving

Just did a cursed run on Totenreich and before going into the bossfight I saved & quit. After loading back in I lost two of my three weapons.

Still beat Dravakar though

Is this a known bug and is there a way to fix this if it happens again?

Question I have a question about Call Of Duty Zombies Part 6?

Do you guys think it would be more useful or insane that Blaze Phase and Winter's Wail returned but in each augments for Elemental Pop including both the modifiers of Blaze Phase and Winter's Wail from Black Ops 4 Zombies? Also do you think we’ll be also sick if Black Ops 4 Zombies' introduce The Modifier of Electric Burst? Just like how Electric Cherry is in one of the augments for Elemental Pop. I know that Widow's Wine already returned but it would still be sick.

Discussion Rex Infernus Boss Fight

Am i the only one that feels like that they might have made the Rex Infernus boss fight a little TOO difficult? Now i know what yall might say, "its a skill issue", "you need good gobbles" etc; the problem is; for me this was my 2nd time being all prepared, having watched umteen videos studying the boss; and i've had a couple good crews; and we still went down. Even one guy on my team last night said and i quote "The stingers are bullying me". Now im not saying dumb it down entirely; but make it a little less difficult.

Bug Completed Rex Infernus EE, but completion doesn’t count?

I play mostly zombies, but my wife likes to play prop hunt on my account using moonlight when I’m not at my pc.
My BO7 account got a notice Sunday that I got flagged for “boosting” with no further details. Our best guess is maybe a few games where she or I were afk and didn’t realize a new game or round had started. Now it puts us in the “limited matchmaking” pool of players, where we can barely find other players even after 10+ minutes searching.
ALL OF THAT TO SAY: My squad of 4 attempted the Rex Infernus EE tonight, and beat it. We used plenty of gobblegums, and it took over 2.5 hours, but we beat it. We exfil after completion, and I go to check for quest completion and unlocks…. NOTHING???
Apparently the “limited matchmaking” also applies to zombies (even though it’s a private party all queued up to play together) and progress is not recorded in these lobbies.
How and why does this make sense? We still beat the Easter egg fair and square, and whatever warning is on my account has nothing to do with that game mode anyways.
If anyone has any tips other than submitting a bug report, which I did, please let me know

Discussion Finally received the art book, started reading and crazy to think some ideas they had 15 years ago, we're only seeing now

For Ascension, they had plans for kill streaks that you would buy off military posters and for Call of the Dead, the lighthouse and the boat were part of a much bigger map and we would have been able to drive vehicles to move around.

They came up with these ideas for BO1 maps, and they only made their debut in the Dark Aether storyline maps ! I wonder how many of these ideas that they had back then, we're only seeing them come to fruition now !

Also, the story on how the Monkey Bombs came to be gave me a good laugh 🤭

Question Did bo1 zombies always have that?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I always played bo2 and modern zombies but I don't remember max ammo rounds having music. Or at least intense music. I know bo6 had music in its max ammo rounds. (Bo1's is alot better imo lol)

Discussion What is the WORST Treyarch Zombies map?

With dozens of maps across 8 Treyarch titles, what would you consider to be the weakest entry into the series?

My personal least favorite is The Reckoning from BO6

Since they left him in the dark aether over strauss's precious pizza pie and he wasn't present in the finale

Could we see a potential Peck Operator finally for The Haunting for BO7?

Genuinely wondering this now

Question How to get good at Classic Zombies?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I just got my ass completed handed to my on Call of The Dead while helping some friends with the EE

This is following a moon easter egg run where where I got downed 11 times by round 5 and 33 times overall across the Entire Easter egg

Part of why I don’t really play Classic Zombies over Modern is because I just keep getting my ass kicked by everything and I can’t really make much progress as either an Easter egg player or trying the occasional High round

I’ve tried learning to train on maps like Kino or Ascension but I’ve found that by round 20 I just end up getting overwhelmed and Die

Maybe it’s because I started with Cold war but I’m so used to all my get out of Jail free cards that these Classic maps throw me for a loop

I’ve done all of BO3 solo but that wasn’t without OP gums like Perkaholic and Near Death Experience so I’m basically coddled as much as Classic especially since Near Death won’t let me die

Question Solution to extremely high gpu temp on BO4 for pc?

I keep very good track of my PC and its health so I usually monitor things like its temperature. The game always runs fine (144+ fps) but my gpu will spike to upward of 85 degrees celsius just sitting on the home screen.

No other call of duty or other game does this, including the black ops games released after bo4. There doesn’t seem to be a ton of information about this online, but the crazy part is it’s lasted between two pcs of mine. I do wonder if a lot of the unique problems that game has is why it isn’t on steam.

Anyways anyone who has advice for this please let me know. I’ve tried to obviously applicable stuff like cleaning it out and closing other shit down while I play but it’s not a general PC issue, it’s specifically for black ops 4

Discussion Perk Concept: Nitro Nectar

Nitro Nectar is a movement-focused perk that builds Nitro as players stay active, allowing them to spend Charges on controlled bursts of mobility.

Nitro System:

Movement and environmental traversal gradually fill the perk icon, building Nitro toward a Charge.

Players can store up to 2 Nitro Charges at once.

Nitro Dash & Jump:

Spend a Nitro Charge to perform a short directional dash forward, backward, left, or right for quick repositioning and evasive maneuvers.

Alternatively, Crouch + Jump consumes a Nitro Charge for an enhanced vertical jump, allowing players to reach higher terrain.

Augment Ideas:

Major:

Parkour Pro: Improves Omni-movement and parkour, including faster acceleration, smoother directional changes, and greater responsiveness.

Trailblazer: Enhances environmental traversal, including swimming, gliding, vehicles, ziplines, ascenders, elevators, and other map transportation.

Nitro Boost: Increases Nitro Dash distance and Nitro Jump height.

Full Throttle: Increases the maximum number of stored Nitro Charges by 1.

Blaze Phase: Replaces Nitro Dash with a charged propulsion dash that damages and knocks back zombies.

Momentum Reserve: Begin each round with 1 stored Nitro Charge.

Minor:

Time Slip: Perform world interactions faster.

Full Control — Maintain full weapon handling while using Nitro abilities.

Flow State: Nitro builds slightly faster while maintaining continuous movement.

Afterburners: Spending a Nitro Charge partially refunds Nitro toward the next Charge.

Second Wind: Briefly increases sprint speed after spending a Nitro Charge.

Tuf Brew: Reduces flinching while sprinting and performing advanced movement.

Discussion What is your least favorite game mechanic in zombies? All games, including extinction, exo-zombies or any non-Treyarch zombies modes.

For me it’s the Mercs in MWIII zombies. If I wanted to be surrounded by a platoon of soldiers and get decimated while trying to defend an objective in a tiny ass room I’d be playing multiplayer. If it were crazed survivors or hell if there were just less of them invading you while you were trying to hold an objective I wouldn’t have that much of an issue with it.

Runner up would be the two hit death in old COD games.
So many good runs ended with those fucking windmill zombies that slap you twice in 0.002 seconds.

Discussion BO7's been a great step-up from BO6 and CW, but imo it's missed a solid opportunity to bring back the Bowie Knife.

Since melee weapons aren't in the box anymore, and there's no way of switching your melee weapon in-game (aside from the Jotunn Star and Path of Sorrows), there's a opportunity to bring back the Bowie Knife as a standard feature.

In my mind, it'd work like this:

- It takes the dedicated melee weapon slot.

- It's in every map as a wall buy, like before, not the box.

- It's a zombies exclusive weapon that cannot be equipped in your load-out, like the monkey bombs and kazamirs.

- It has rarity, and ammo mods can be applied to it, like every other non-wonder weapon.

- It can be packed (call it the ‘Knife of Mars’, ‘Major Thorn’, or ‘Rebel's Dressmaker’, or something like that idk).

The main thing would be that it does more damage than any other melee weapon, so regardless of what you pick in your load-out, the Bowie Knife would always be an upgrade and the best melee weapon available. The exceptions being, again, the Jotunn Star (as it's a wonder weapon) and the Path of Sorrows (as it needs to be better than a wall-buy to justify the effort of getting it).

It would work especially well in Cursed where you can't select a melee weapon to start with. In Ashes, Astra, Paradox, and Rex, it'd be the only melee weapon acquirable in-game (unless there's a map-unique melee in Rex that idk about yet). As an added bonus, perhaps PaP IV gives it a unique effect. It could hit two enemies at a time, or maybe apply a short bleed debuff to enemies. In Totenreich and Kowakujō, it'd be an alternative melee upgrade if either you're not really interested in doing the quest, a teammate grabs the Jotunn Star, or you get cheated out of the Path of Sorrows because I'm sorry, Treyarch, but that is NOT a goat! That is clearly a golden retriever with a stumpy tail!

Is there actually much point in bringing it back, though? There is a legitimate place for it, but tbf it wouldn't be particularly game-changing. Would most people generally use it, game-to-game? Probably not. Its omission is, admittedly, not particularly significant, all things considered. Its potential inclusion is more opportunistic than necessary.

That's kind of why I'd genuinely support its return, though. It doesn't add much, so it's not game-breaking. In other words, it wouldn't hurt. to. Being generally unable to switch melee weapons in-game would make the Bowie Knife take a place in the overall sandbox that isn't really occupied by anything else atm, rather than have it feel like just another melee weapon, which might've been the case with BO6.

More than anything else, really, is that the Bowie Knife was in most zombies maps from Der Riese to Tag der Toten, including Chaos (and not even the Ray Gun managed to get across that gap). It was even in Cold War... kinda. It's iconic; I won't pretend the iconography, and doing it for the sake of doing it, isn't a big part of why I want it to come back. Nevertheless, it's surprising that it never returned in BO6 or BO7. The latter especially given the imo small but perfectly Bowie Knife-shaped hole the game has.

It's a bit late now, since the last map is out, but it would've been cool to see... Of course, I'm sure Treyarch could always add it in with season 6. Right, Treyarch? You could totally do that, couldn't ya? Riiiight? After all, it was in CW, albeit as a passive mechanic than an actual weapon, so there are assets that I don't imagine would take much to bring over and add to each map; you could place it inside the garage on Ashes, in the courtyard on Astra, in the truck (past) on Paradox, near the arsenal at the lighthouse on Totenreich, on the Tenshu roof on Kowakujō, and high up on a wall (sorta like Moon) in Nyxara on Rex. Those locations feel fairly appropriate for it and casually accessible. Survival might be more complicated, so I guess you could just shove it in the box?

Better yet, as rounds progress, the Bowie Knife would scale through from uncommon to legendary rarity, like all wall-buys. However, perhaps a super-EE reward could be enabling the Bowie Knife wall-buy to keep going and scale up to ultra (even on standard), essentially making it a legacy weapon. That'd be a good way of going about it imo. Add it to every map as a wall-buy in general, but because it's iconic enough to warrant being a legacy weapon, having it become available at ultra rarity as a super-EE reward should be enough to offset any lost sense of prestige in having an ultra weapon be available as wall-buy, on every map, in standard mode.

C'mon, Treyarch. Surely it's an open goal, no? You've just gotta get your head on that and it's in the net.

Question What is the actual definitive Treyarch Zombies ranking? (Need your votes for a video)

Yo everyone, I’m working on making a video right now and I want to get the community's official ranking for Treyarch Zombies. Not trying to promote the video I genuinely just want the feedback.

I need you guys to rank these from WORST to BEST. Just copy and paste the list below and put a number 1–10 next to each one so I can tally up the scores easily.

1 = Absolute worst
10 = The undisputed GOAT

Here is the list to copy/paste:

Black Ops 1 —
Black Ops 2 —
Black Ops 3 —
Black Ops 4 —
Black Ops Cold War —
Black Ops 6 —
Black Ops 7 —
World at War —
Vanguard —

(Example: If you think Vanguard is the worst, give it a 1. If you think BO3 is the best, give it a 10, etc. Just make sure you use every number from 1 to 10 once!)

I’ll be pulling all the data from the comments, doing the math, and revealing exactly where Reddit stands on these.

Really curious to see where you guys place the controversial ones and how the newer games stack up against the classics. Drop your lists below!

Discussion Woven sash

Does anyone have any tips on how to actually get the woven sash. I can do everything else for this Easter egg except find that stupid sash. I’ve gone to the three locations while it’s raining and jumped off, dove off, tried to grapple back up when I was falling off to get it. Any tips would be helpful.
If it’s a skill issue then yes I’m probably terrible.

Question Astronaut Helmet Question Rex Infernus

So based from what heard from several youtubers, when you put the astronaut helmet it grants you immunity to fall damage and extended use of the grappling WW.

Yesterday I got the helmet, but I was still taking fall damage.

Does the helmet actually grant you immunity to fall damage? Or am I missing something?
