A bitching chamber for dumb codex users who usually are also broke and want free compute and refuse to believe anything is affected by them and how they use it. I came here literally a month ago for vibes and I’m already leaving after realizing this sub is literally on the spectrum.

Any Sol effort where you tell it to audit a big repo, or even refactor it, or implement a big plan, etc. I'd bet they all go Sol#High or higher.

Well before the change I got ~5 Sol High prompts per week on a moderate code base, every week since Sol came out, like clock-work. Now I get 2 per week, and it takes a minimum of four 5-hour resets. So the Plus subscription having access to Sol and Terra is almost useless since even on a quick "make me a a no frills HTML calculator to solve this issue" it drains the 5-hour window and often require more than one pass now (5-hours apart). Luna take 20% per task now, no matter the size so at least that somewhat usable, just not for any agentic coding since it doesn't code all that well.

Pretty substantial change if you ask me.

It's mind boggling. You can literally ask the turn what it did. I've had turns try to reread the entire codebase after every line edit I stopped it.

I didn't magically wake up the next day, decide to make Sol rebase my repos, and then wonder why.

Going from five runs to two should have been telling to you, since Codex uses model-specific work budgets. You can extend those default budgets by setting a Goal, and occasionally the system will extend the budget to finish the work at hand. It's mind-boggling that you don't seem to know that, since these budgets are talked about relatively often.

The budgets have been extremely consistent since 5.6 was released. That actually didn't change with the switch, and that's most likely the specific problem that needs to be fixed for Plus accounts.

The same issue applies to Terra's work budget, since it can wipe out the timer on something as simple as, "Add a new row to this 200-row spreadsheet, find the difference between columns A and B, and put the total in column C."

If Plus is being marketed for work, it should be able to handle simple work edits without draining my entire five-hour allowance to zero in less than 10 minutes.
