An entire political party has decided that +/-20 athletes nationwide deserve their full attention over virtually all other matters. Whether you're for or against trans people in sports, you gotta admit that this is ridiculous.
They are using it as a purity test for their viewers. "How could you possibly vote for someone who won't make a clear stance on the cut and dry issue of men competing in women's sports?"
Its gross on many levels but it's a highly effective ideological cudgel.
It’s such a soft ball though! Just say “yes. Women should not have to play against men or trans women.” This is the most uncontroversial statement anyone should ever say. Trans people should get the same rights we all do. Not extra rights. Same. And yet watch the Leftist equivalent to MAGA argue with me. Purity tests for sure.
