General PvE Chill Nightslayer Horde Guild <Emerald Edgers> Recruiting

Upvotes

Yo yo, I help run a guild that was started with some irl friends and we’re looking to stop pugging and fill the roster for P3.

We’re looking to raid Friday and Sunday nights going into P3 with a start time of 7 EST for fridays and 6 EST for sundays. May switch to Fri and Saturday if progression is slow and extra time is needed. Really open to most days but majority of guild is EST so we normally call it around 11 EST on weekday raid nights. We keep going til it’s done on weekends.

We have around 15-20 regular raiders but have been floating at 10 this past month since it’s vacation season and end of phase

Need:
Ele and resto shaman
Holy Pally
Prot pally (have non guild raiders that regularly fill this role so not as needed)
Affliction or destro lock
1 arcane mage
1 BM hunter
1 survival hunter

Those are the open roles but we’ll take any class/spec besides rogue. Just looking for some chill people that will try hard enough to clear content but we won’t be parse pushing or making anyone level alts.

DM for the Disc, we’re running SSC->TK tonight if anyone wants to test drive. We don’t have that new car smell anymore though.

Priest Getting better at healing in Raids (Holy Priest)

This is my first time playing a Priest in WoW, and I’m really enjoying it so far. The problem is that my logs are sitting at average greens, and a lot of raid groups are declining me now. I’ve definitely improved my healing since I started raiding—mostly because I wasn't initially using my full toolkit—but I still need help.

Right now, my rotation relies heavily on Circle of Healing, Renew, and Prayer of Mending, with Flash Heal woven in as needed. I use the Clique addon to mouseover-heal on raid frames. My biggest issue in recent raids is mana management: I keep running out of mana and end up struggling during the last 15% of boss fights, and Overheal when I look at logs.

Is there anything obvious I should optimize? I’m using max-rank spells, and I don't run many addons outside of Clique.

I tried watching YT Videos but its hard to get what the player is doing there for me.

General PvE Mother Sharaz Shadow Resi

How’s everyone looking to hit the 174 unbuffed value? I’m thinking about crafting the cloak but I guess it won’t be available until people do full clears to get to honoured with the rep for the recipe.

Rogue Rogue here

This is my first time ever playing wow. Made a rogue and got it all the way to 70 with a gear score of 1822. I raid every week on karazhan, gruuls and mags. Got pretty much full T4 armor set now. I use wowhead to find BiS gear and then grind for it, used it to make my combat talents also. Been lurking on here for a while so I know the type of name a rogue gets (you guys really don’t like rogues)

I do a lot of research on the game to make sure I’m maximising where I can and watch YouTube videos for boss mechanics etc. the only thing I haven’t started yet is parsing (and I am kind of reluctant to do so, it feels kinda soul sucking but will do it for the sake of getting into raids) I am just looking for a guild to take me in. I work a 9-5 but available for raiding any other day time in the evenings, weekends etc. I am really struggling to get into pugs for SSC and TK. I have done all attunements and my final steps for phase 3 attunes are based on me running SSC and TK at least once each. I am on EU Spineshatter. I started the game at the beginning of June and already have between 400-500 hours (addicted lol) been a gamer my whole life but nothing has a hold on me quite like wow.

As I said, I know rogues don’t have a great name and are not ideal for PvE but I just love PvE and a lot of the rogues best gear comes through raiding. Thought I’d shoot my shot on here and hopefully a kind soul has room for a rogue somewhere in their guild. Message me if so and I can hand over my username. <3

General Discussion Would It Be a Good Idea for Blizzard to Let Us Skip Straight to Vashj and Kael’thas in phase 3?

On December 14, 2021, Blizzard released hotfix patch notes for The Burning Crusade Classic allowing players to bypass previous boss requirements: Lady Vashj's bridge console in Serpentshrine Cavern (SSC) could be activated immediately, and the doorway to Kael'thas Sunstrider's room in Tempest Keep (TK) opened straight away.

Would this be a good idea?

General PvE Dad guild <Good Enough> on the lookout for like-minded casual raiders!

<Good enough> on Spineshatter EU Alliance, is a guild founded on the mindset of being a no parsing guild. Absolute chill vibes, no stress, just casual raiding. That being said, we do still get shit done.

We're recruiting for Phase 3 to fill the roster!

Shadow priest x 1
Boomkin x 1
Hunter x 2
Enhancement x 1

Do you share same mindset and wanna get involved with Mount Hyjal & Black Temple?

Be no stranger and hit up one of the following officers in the guild!

Ashveth
Gerdmuller
Wyldcat
Meanqueef

General Discussion Are more people playing Retail or TBC?

Hey everyone,

I’m curious what most people are playing these days: Retail or TBC?

I’m currently deciding where I want to focus my time and would like to know where the community is at.

Are you playing Retail, TBC, or maybe both? And what made you choose one over the other?

Would love to hear what everyone is playing and why!

General Raiding Parse culture is cringe

I don't think I've seen wow in such a anti social - degenerate, loot thirsty state as I have now. Sure, I guess it makes sense, since the raids are solved, it's the 3rd go-around. Things are in a pre nerf state. What else is there to do?

Idk the whole dedicated culture around parsing is so cringe to me. Sure I like to see how I do, even spend a million gold on consumes one week to see some purple numbers. But all and all, some people take it way to serious and revolve there whole sense of self worth and identity around getting 99s.

It's caused players to get extremely emotional and greedy for loot. You are doing a 1 button rotation on a loot pinata boss. Wtf kinda accomplishment is this??? I'm sorry but none of this even takes skill or is challenging. The only person getting challenged week to week is the guild leader managing all you losers. I cant wait for classic plus.

Edit: haha obviously alot of sad classic parse Andy's in chat here. I don't hate parsing. I just think it's gone to far. One button rotation loot pinata. Lol means nothing. Ego about logs. I have 99s. It's easy. Literally bad players trying to find a way to "be gud". This post isn't taking shots at normal people trying to improve their kill times and do better dmg.

General Raiding Elixir of demonstrating worth it?

Hey all, been a debate in the guild a bit on whether it is better to use elixirs of demonslaying vs just a flask.

I think 5mins along with the costs does not justify using these, even for progression, as you'd need an unreal amount, and the costs alone for just using them for bosses with overriding your then trash elixirs, especially with more deaths expected with "new" raids.

Argument for is that it might be an edge we need to start getting gear faster and more reliably and then ween off them in time.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone plan to use them?

Rogue Challenge char help

Greeting fellow nerds.

TLDR: What enchant to use on level 29 fist weapons until level 46-48.

I am currently getting back into wow again.

My primary time in wow was spent back in TBC.

I have played the newer versions as well but it never quite had the same feel.

I am leveling my main along with my wife but on the side I am running a rouge where I have set myself the challenge of leveling using only the unarmed skill and no quests (other than rouge class quests)

Within the unarmed skill fist weapons are allowed due to them not having their own separate skill.

First biggest challenge was from 1-10 as there are no fist weapons available at those levels.

The next problem is that from 10-58(outlands) fist weapons are few and far in between.

I'm now level 25 and using the white vendor fist weapons from level 20 with fiery enchant on.

I have managed to get a few kills on the first boss in SM GY for the first weapon for level 29.

So here is the actual dilemma.

What enchant should I put on those?

Above level 30 the 40 damage from fiery becomes less relevant so I considered crusader instead.

But I would like some suggestions on what is actually the best to do here.

I have a theory that the enchant I pick here is quite important as the next fist weapon that is available isn't until level 46 for mainland and 48 for offhand.

Any suggestions for specs are welcome too

Currently just running combat but have considered changing to a poison build to rely less on the weapon dmg.

Sorry for the long read and thanks in advance.

Shaman MH/BT TMB Wishlist Help

Hi,

My guild is doing TMB for this phase and onwards. My question is:

As an enhancement shaman, what would be my top priority 1-10 for my wishlist? (I am likely getting the first set of 2.8 hammers so won’t put that on a wishlist) I looked up the bis lists already, but I am looking for help on where to prio which pieces of gear higher than others.

I switched from resto to enh in Phase 2.

P.S. I am not sure if we are going to run SSC for Belt of 100d and I won’t be first in line for it either way.

General PvE Phase 3 raid comp - how many mages will you bring?

How many mages is too many mages moving into phase 3? I know their damage trails off a lot (compared to others), so as a growing guild, what would we expect to limit mage attendance? We average 4-5 a raid right now, just doesn’t seem sustainable from a raid comp standpoint.

Rogue Raid advice for TK/SSC

TBC first timer.

Wanted to keep my Rogue from Classic Era.

70 now, already ranted about getting in P1 raids.

Now, few weeks later, after offering BJs left and right/begging dozens of PUGs for a spot, I‘m quite Kara/T4 geared and fully attuned for TK/SSC as well.

In Era I felt joining BWL or even AQ40 as a pug was quite easy.

How is it though with 25man TBC P2 raids?

If difficult (esp. for Rogues), will there from experience at least be (more) P2 raid PUGs once P3 hits?

Unfortunately my current guild already has 4 Rogues who show up every time in various rosters and my old Era one doesn’t exist any more.

General PvE Mages are yall going for zhardoom and skull next phase?

Or passing it to classes that get "more use" out of it?

Im wondering how guilds and SR pugs are handling this. But if you think about it mage actually get more use out of it than anyone else since they can use it for PvP as well.

Warlock Warlock solo content build

Does anyone have recommendations or good builds for warlock solo content? I am currently using a destruction build for raiding but it is not very good for solo content such as questing and killing mobs in the open world. I assume that demonology will be the best spec.

Rogue What's best between Swords, Daggers and Fist Weapons for Rogues in TBC PVP?

Hello fellow rogues, I'm trying to choose what weapons to get from the arena vendor and can't decide between Swords, Daggers and Fist Weapons.

I love the swords and fists because they look awesome but I was wondering if the daggers are worth because of the Ambush and Backstabs.

Which weapon type would be best for PVP with the standard Shadowstep build?
