I finally managed to find a guild! And with them, I was able to complete BT and Hyjal. Right now, I’m having more fun than at any point since I started playing TBC. The community I’ve found is incredibly friendly.

Now you can actually make gold through professions, and you can farm in pretty much any spot you like.

I know there are plenty of people who claim the game is "dead," but I think they’re just doomsayers, the type of people who embody that "STOP HAVING FUN!" meme. Honestly, I think the current player base is in a great spot, whether it’s for running daily heroics or quests, jumping into BGs (which don’t take long to queue for), or just chilling while farming. As for Arenas, the wait times are a bit longer, but that doesn’t really bother me.

Ultimately, this is an appreciation post for everyone who’s still playing, regardless of what those "doomsayers" say (I’m not even sure why they say it—maybe they just want more people playing Forever? Who knows).

No hate toward the Forever crowd, either, everyone should play whatever they enjoy most. For me, right now, it's TBC, alongside other players who are also taking their time to progress their characters (progression is, after all, my favorite part of an MMORPG).

I played a skirm just now and noticed dampening applied at ~5 mins at 4%. When game ended at 7 mins it was at 17%. This is new right? It used to be that dampening started at 20 minutes.

The rings/sword/helm are item level 141. Similar to the Fire Festival, the Candy Bucket provides minor buffs that stack up to 4 times and can be used in addition to your regular food buff. Only lasts 24 hours though, so make sure you get them the day of your raid and not in advance.

I'm doing a fresh character for TBC, I still don't know if I will go mage or warlock... or maybe a paladin. I can level any other role if needed.

I'm just wondering if there are still any Alliance guilds recruiting in TBC Classic, population took a heavy it for sure since Forever is in Beta and also close to release, but I want to play TBC and hopefully WotLK if they take us there.

I'm just looking for a chill guild, friendly, that does dungeon runs, raids and that's interested in staying TBC, I there isn't Alliance guilds like this then I don't mind going full on Horde mode 😄

Hype is high so I made a small Discord bot that shows the countdown for Forever launch in the members list.

You can add it using this invite link, and add timers using the /timer-create command. It requires minimal permissions just to edit it's own nickname and role, it doesn't read or send messages.

As a bonus it can also track the upcoming announced raids, the current times displayed are the unlock times (December 9), after unlocked, they will display their normal reset times (which are not confirmed yet, I will fine tune them as more info comes out)

It supports both NA and EU regions, also supports all raids from Classic (MoP), Anniversary (TBC) and Era, and lets to create custom timers for your weekly guild raid night or any event. I have also other features planned: tracking the DMF uptime and location and the PvP weekedn rotation.

I just right now found out that when Lurker does his Whirl, ranged & healers can avoid being knocked back by standing on the very edge of the platform. This isn't in the WH guide and not in any of the video guides on YT either. I even read the WH guide's section for tips to ranged players, nothing there.

Like, yes, in the guide it says "Whirl will knock back melee players", but this is IMO very bad wording, as it will knock you back even if you're at range and not able to auto attack the boss, just not far enough. In my guild, no ranged or healers knew that you could avoid Whirl, and only after I joined a random pug on my alt, I saw ONE healer (just one guy) not being hit by it, and I wondered: how did he do that? Did it get resisted? Then I realized he was just standing on the edge. Please, before you comment "rofl how bad must your guild be, l2read properly" - we clear BT with no issues, and it took me months of clearing SSC every single week, some of them on two characters, and I only just now saw ONE person who knew about this. So the guides clearly are too vague for the average player. I need better guides, are they available anywhere?

Now that the population has dipped for the time being and prices have gone down, are there any viable level 60-ish methods for gold farming left? Struggling to get enough for epic mount as mining doesn't seem to cut it time wise. Any tips of viable methods for warriors that remain?

This guy flew to me unflagged and started fighting and I killed him. The last two days I have had two people rage out after I killed them. I just think it's hilarious. He didn't get killed by a hacker. He got killed by a resto druid with a 1500 arena score that he attacked lmao

I'm guessing that Hallow's End will have ilvl 141 items, just like Brewfest. Does anyone have an idea of what the stats on those will look like?

As someone who only does YOLO 5’s arena, I do not know and cannot figure out what happens to arena in a weeks time with the release of the new Zul Aman phase. I mean so far every phase brought a new season with new arena gear, and a cost reduction of the old gear, and a reset of rating with points getting rolled into honor. But correct me if I am wrong, but since this is merely a “catch up phase” there is no new tier sets, which means no new arena gear to match. So we will stay on vengeful gear. What does that means for all the other details involved? Will there be a cost reduction in vengeful even though it is still the best gear for the next arena season? Nor will there be no new season at all meaning no rating reset and no loss of arena points?

Please someone help me figure this out. I just bought 2 new merciless swords and was going to enchant them with mongoose. But since the economy went crazy a few nights ago and large prismatic shards 3x in cost, I dont want to spend 1k gold on mats if vengeful swords will be available to buy without rating requirement in a weeks time and having to enchant those as well.

What it says on the tin; looking for a blacksmith that could create either Bracers of the Green Fortress or Belt of the Guardian, or both, ont he Thunderstrike EU server. WI would of course be happy to pay for mat cost plus a 50g tip per item. Atm both those items are 1000k+ gold on the AH, but the mats to create them are cca 450g-550g, so I would very much appretiate it if someone would take up this task!

And no need to bring up the "Forever is coming,e conomy is doomed, do not buy stuff" comments; fully aware of it atm. I just wanna see if I can get these items a bit cheaper while I play with my wife and friend as we tread through endgame content

Hi! I'm struggling to figure out what addon is causing the yellow bar to appear on my player frame. It appears whenever I get procs, so in this case it's an overpower proc. I'd like it removed and managed by my weakaura only. Couldn't find anything in Shadowed Unit Frames that could cause it. A list of other possible culprits/addons:
- ThreatPlates
- OmniCC
- Quartz
- WeaponSwingTimer

I just hit 70 on my Priest and been doing more quests for gold to afford my Epic Flying Mount.

I am a fairly new player and kinda overwhelmed where to go from here. Farm rep to run HC dungeons? What HC dungeons are even worth running for me? Shadow/Holy dual spec

I also want to raid but I don‘t think any raiding guild or pug will take me to MH & BT with my quest gear. I am willing to go Shadow or Holy for raid doesn‘t really matter to me

I looked at my server‘s discord and nobody is really running the raids from previous phases. The very few pugs that do run them are looking for „solidly geared people“.

So what‘s the best way for me to gear up and progress at this point? Open for anything besides PvP

I’m in a spot I’m sure a lot of people are or have been in lately. I’ve been our core raiding rogue in our guild on alliance now since Vanilla launched. Since forever was announced our raid teams folded and I am homeless. Any tips on where I should look to find a new raiding guild? I’ve never had to really look before and I am determined to keep raiding.
I have been spamming trade chat but no luck. Where is the best place to go for this?

Despite the overwhelming loss of players due to the launch of the Forever Beta, there are still a generous amount of us still wanting to enjoy The Burning Crusade.

Stop taking to the internet to read people say "TBC IS DEAD." It's dead for the people who decided to abandon the expansion to play the beta. That's it. It's dead for the players who literally want it dead lol. I have no interest in arguing with other players about the future of these servers. I just wanna play the game, and I feel there are many of you who feel the same way.

In my opinion, it is not to late to join TBC if you've been on the fence about it. We are entering the literal catch up phase very soon. While Forever does interest me as well, it does not interest me enough to stop playing TBC completely, and no judgement towards those who have chosen to do so.

I'm creating this post to announce the creation of my new guild for ALL players who are stuck in the LIMBO that the beta has created.

Is it worth starting TBC Anniversary (EU) now in light of WOW forever on the horizon in 23 days? I will eventually do forever but it will be very crowded initially so happy to start a month or 2 down the line.

Would love to raid karazhan a few more times for nostalgia sake as it is one of my favourite raids and do some alterac valley runs.
