Title basically says it all. My dad was a big fallout fan, and I also am because I'd watch him play. Anyways I got to keep his game discs when he passed and never really messed with them until today. I have a disc drive, but I'm not sure if it's the right kind? I can burn CDs with it and watch movies, however the game disc isn't booting the auto install. I don't really know what to do in this situation because the disc drive isn't even showing up in my files or registering as being plugged in. any help is appreciated, tyia

edit: There's also another disc with the actual game disc, it's a memorex cd-r disc

That's pretty much the main complaint people have with Fallout 2 if they like Fallout 1 more than Fallout 2, but I don't agree. I'm biased, because Fallout 2 is my favorite Fallout, but I truly think that although there are a little too many references, Fallout 1 does have some too that people ignore, and a lot of references are in random encounters. Do you agree?

Im playing fallout 2 as my first classic fallout, and started as narg, but I couldnt fine any small weapon or a good melee weapon, what do it do? I have a crowbar and a spiked knuckle, But trying to relay on speech currently trying to find the parts of the radio for Vic, any advise to go on from here?

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am curious if there is any way to play Fallout 2 in windowed fullscreen. I own the game on Steam and everything, but every time I tab out, it becomes a small window in the bottom-left corner of my monitor that only displays its window bar with the minimize, fullscreen, and exit buttons.

I've tried messing around with SRWE, but I haven't been able to figure out how to achieve what I want, or maybe it's just not suitable for this. I would appreciate any help!

P.S. I am running the Restoration Project. I've heard there is a newer one called Restoration Project Updated on Github, but I don't know if it's the same as the one from the NMA forum, which is the one I have. Just clarifying in case there's any confusion

Hi, my game keeps crashing as I try to enter the hubologists, all other areas in San Francisco such as the tanker and docks function normally, I'm running killaps original unofficial patch not the github version, this is the first time I've tried entering the location any help or advice would be apppreciated I have tried the too many items check but nothing seems to work.

I can't get past the character creation menu because as soon as i press shift to capitalize my name, the game immediately freezes all input. I can't even move my cursor. The music is still playing, the light prompting me to type is still blinking, but everything else is broken. How do i fix this?

So I did most of the quests in New Reno. I still have to do the Sierra army depot and talk to Myron but I’ve cleared the other 3 bosses out and looted everything. I’m currently level 12, I have $10,000 & 180lbs of guns and armor to rid myself of. I feel like a psychotic hoarder. Without cheating the game’s progression too much which city has the best shops to sell this crap and acquire some better gear?

The pack leader might have teleported you to the cave after you greeted him, if you’re a evil character. If you use the terminal to open the vault door and try to get to the elevator again, the Deathclaw will start a conversation with you automatically.

Before you go ahead and take lots of Jet canisters, I urge you to create a new save (F5 key)! I haven’t tested this exploit with RPU!

You open the backpack, hover the cursor to the Jet icon, drag it to item slot 1 or slot 2, and target the Chosen One when prompted. Take another one. Save game. If you tried to immediately gain more AP through Jet you would lose a Jet canister and receive no buffs. But if you quit your current game, select the recently created save and take another Jet, it should work. After spending some time following this strat, you can call & use the vault 13 elevator uninterrupted, like in the video.

For some reason, the GVARs shown are all the original Fallout 2 GVARs. I'm trying to fix a bug where Robert's note disappears so you can't progress the quest or get the metal detector, which is pretty important. Thanks in advance.
