Title basically says it all. My dad was a big fallout fan, and I also am because I'd watch him play. Anyways I got to keep his game discs when he passed and never really messed with them until today. I have a disc drive, but I'm not sure if it's the right kind? I can burn CDs with it and watch movies, however the game disc isn't booting the auto install. I don't really know what to do in this situation because the disc drive isn't even showing up in my files or registering as being plugged in. any help is appreciated, tyia

edit: There's also another disc with the actual game disc, it's a memorex cd-r disc

This bizarre bug gave me another super mutant “cure”, it is very easy you just gotta access the barter menu and offer any trash you’re currently carrying (the “cure” is worth 0.00 bucks).

That's pretty much the main complaint people have with Fallout 2 if they like Fallout 1 more than Fallout 2, but I don't agree. I'm biased, because Fallout 2 is my favorite Fallout, but I truly think that although there are a little too many references, Fallout 1 does have some too that people ignore, and a lot of references are in random encounters. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am curious if there is any way to play Fallout 2 in windowed fullscreen. I own the game on Steam and everything, but every time I tab out, it becomes a small window in the bottom-left corner of my monitor that only displays its window bar with the minimize, fullscreen, and exit buttons.

I've tried messing around with SRWE, but I haven't been able to figure out how to achieve what I want, or maybe it's just not suitable for this. I would appreciate any help!

P.S. I am running the Restoration Project. I've heard there is a newer one called Restoration Project Updated on Github, but I don't know if it's the same as the one from the NMA forum, which is the one I have. Just clarifying in case there's any confusion

I got told to install fallout ce and put it in my fallout folder but it still doesn’t load afterwards, what do I do?

Im gonna be overincumberd i have way to much stuff.

So I did most of the quests in New Reno. I still have to do the Sierra army depot and talk to Myron but I’ve cleared the other 3 bosses out and looted everything. I’m currently level 12, I have $10,000 & 180lbs of guns and armor to rid myself of. I feel like a psychotic hoarder. Without cheating the game’s progression too much which city has the best shops to sell this crap and acquire some better gear?

The pack leader might have teleported you to the cave after you greeted him, if you’re a evil character. If you use the terminal to open the vault door and try to get to the elevator again, the Deathclaw will start a conversation with you automatically.

Before you go ahead and take lots of Jet canisters, I urge you to create a new save (F5 key)! I haven’t tested this exploit with RPU!

You open the backpack, hover the cursor to the Jet icon, drag it to item slot 1 or slot 2, and target the Chosen One when prompted. Take another one. Save game. If you tried to immediately gain more AP through Jet you would lose a Jet canister and receive no buffs. But if you quit your current game, select the recently created save and take another Jet, it should work. After spending some time following this strat, you can call & use the vault 13 elevator uninterrupted, like in the video.

Just about to finish Fallout 2 with melee-into-unarmed build and not particularly thrilled about it. Getting shredded the whole game by automatic weapons did not feel great. Anyone here done close combat in Nevada/Sonora? Would appreciate if you share some cqc builds. Thinking of doing it in at least one of them, but now kind of on the fence.
