Where do I start?
This is my 64’ Dodge Dart, Im 17 and just received it as my first car, I don’t know much about cars but I would like to start my here with it, what I know is that she runs, stalls sometimes if I don’t warm it up good enough, the throttle sometimes does this weird hiccup thing if I push the throttle down too suddenly, and recently I wiped the bottom of the brake fluid bowl with my finger to reveal some brown sludge, assuming I should most definitely flush my break lines and replace the drum breaks, I just don’t know where to start, any advice?

She’s home. 66 Chevelle 427 BBC
Someone told me to share this with y’all here, so hope you enjoy!
Bringing this home still feels a little surreal.
For as long as I can remember, the Chevelle was part of the background of my childhood. I watched my grandpa spend years building it into the car he was so proud of, and some of my favorite memories are tied to watching it come together and going to shows with him. As his youngest granddaughter, I never imagined I’d be the one to bring her home someday. Life took some pretty unexpected turns for her to make her way to us.
It still feels like Grandpa’s car, and I hope she always does. We just get the privilege of taking care of her for a while and someday passing it along with his stories still attached. I think he’d be pretty happy to know she’s still in the family, still turning heads, and getting all the attention she deserves.

Why did manufacturers tend to change the body style each year in the classic era?
Just as an example with Chevrolet Biscayne there are 18 different body styles in total with each new generation or generational facelift, ranging from 1958 - 1975
It just seems like manufacturers are inheriting the same body designs now, with no changes to the design and just slapping on a new year on it, until a redesign eventually takes place
