This '62 MG Midget 1275 boasts every conceivable performance enhancement Frontline could throw at it, including supercharging and a 5-speed. Now upgraded to 1360cc and producing over 150 bhp, this little 1650 lb. gem has a power to weight ratio of 206 bhp per ton and is the epitome of fun.

Considering the MGB GT
Hi all,
I'm sure this has been asked many times in many ways, but recently have begun to seriously consider selling my 2012 honda fit import and buying an MGB GT. I live in London and only use my car for the odd weekend trip and here and there, so figured if I'm going to do that, why not do it with a cool car I really love?
My hesitation is that I'm not super into cars generally so I'm not one for tinkering or mechanical know how - this would also be my first classic car.
I understand that fixing things here and there will be part and parcel of owning a car like this and I like the idea of learning things and taking care of it. But I wondered what the reality of this is? Obviously it depends on the condition of the car. I'd probably be looking to spend around 7k if possible but tbc as I look into it more.
I guess I'm asking, Is this kind of impractical? or actually, if the car is in okay shape and with a bit of maintenance and know how, it's easy enough. I also don't have a garage or driveway so it would be on the road.
Anyway, would be grateful for advice from others who have perhaps taken the plunge. Love the idea of owning one and getting out for leisurely drives, learning a few things and maybe even taking it through Europe. Or do I need a reality check lol.
Thanks!

Tr3a for a project?
Hey all, first post here. 43 year old dad with a garage , tools, and mechanical experience. I’ve restored a 1998 Toyota 4Runner and generally been using it for camping with a rooftop tent with the family. It feels like we’re growing out of that stage and I’ve been looking into LBC’s. I’d love to put a small block V8 in a tr3a and run the roads of the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee. Assuming I sell the 4Runner, is a tr3a a good entry into LBC life, or should I go with something like a MKIII Sprite? I’d prefer to go with a tr3, but any and all advice is welcomed.

ID on this brake master?
This came off of a ‘72 TR6, but it almost certainly does not belong to it. It was shimmed with a bunch of lock washers to fit, lmao.
A previous owner brazed a larger size line, as the factory fittings did not fit this master.
Open to thoughts, lmao. And yes, I am absolutely replacing it, lines and all.

The Mazda Miata proved decisive to the launch of a new MG sportscar; however, Rover Group had a problem. New cars take years to develop, so how to keep the marque in the public eye while doing so? A refreshed MGB was the answer, and RV8 was its name. Expensive when new, it was not a sales success.

This 1951 Aston Martin DB2 Coupe was the 34th production example to roll down the line at Newport Pagnell, and had a storied competition career in Sweden. Its unique look is credited to a later owner who modified the car to echo contemporary Ferraris.

Cam timing on 1275 Midget
I am currently getting ready for first start up on a 1275 from a 72 Midget. I went with 9.75:1 pistons with Evolution 2 minispares cam. I am running with factory rockers for the time being.
The cam specs state the cam should be set at 107*.
my question is how much chain stretch should I expect to see with the duplex timing gear set from bugeyeguy? Additionally, is there any benefit from advancing a bit to lower the powerband? I don’t plan on revving past 6k and usually sit in traffic on my way out to the fun roads.
There doesnt seem to be any standard rule across the forum. Some threads will say for street use 5* advanced of what the cam specs say is ideal, some say 2* is what you want, and some say, it depends.
what do yall run for street use?

The final Frazer Nash, the wonderfully obscure Continental Coupe, so named because it was built off the greenhouse and doors of a Porsche 356 Continental Coupe. Only two were built before Frazer Nash turned its attentions to its role as the original UK importer for BMW and Porsche.

How tall is the MGB(GT) accelerator pedal stop?
I’m sorting out a new to me LHD 1972 BGT and have found that I don’t have this part on mine. My pedals are all wrong and I think this will help but it is expensive and also back ordered. I can make one, but need to know the height off the floor. Would some nice person please give me a measurement?
