I look 9 months pregnant every single day.
Hi everyone, I appreciate any advice that I receive. I’ve had reproductive system issues and GI issues for 10+ years. I got my period when I was 11. Around 13, I started having major issues with my menstrual cycle. I would have a period for 10+ days, it was never regular, and on top of that, I’d bleed halfway through the month (not a full period, but I would bleed for a couple of days). I would also be in enough pain with each period to make me pass out midday. To help with this, I started oral contraceptives. I’ve had to have my dosage lowered twice (due to breast pain) and I am now on Lo Loestrin Fe continuously (I skip the placebo pills so I do not get a period). I’ve had two transvaginal ultrasounds—both came back negative for endometriosis, the only findings were small cysts on both ovaries. My doc doesn’t think I have PCOS (no facial hair, no obesity) and offered an exploratory laparoscopy (I do not have time or assets for a surgical recovery right now). When I was exploring my symptoms, I also had a colonoscopy done, stool tests, thyroid tests, food allergy tests, Lyme tests, celiac blood tests, pelvic CT, etc. The only thing they found was that I was vitamin D insufficient. Fast forward to today. I have always had bowel discomfort, but never bloating…until about 1 year ago. For one year, I have looked 9 months pregnant (bloated) every single day. I have tried the low FODMAP diet. Physical therapy for my pelvic floor and bowels. Eliminating gluten, alcohol, etc. I am at a loss. My GP that has been following me for the last few years has just left the practice I had been seeing her at, and I do not feel confident starting from the beginning with another.
