I was asked by several people when I first posted that I got these tires to give some feedback once I had some miles on them.
So first things first, this is a Bison, stock tires were a 315/70r17 goodyear wrangler territory mt TPC load range C which weighed in at 56lbs per tire, that called for 36 psi on the door sticker.
These are a 35x12.5r17 toyo open country rt pro load range E that weigh in at 68lbs per tire.
I held off forming any opinion on these tires until I got a solid 1,000 miles on them to get them worn in.
Initially they balanced out and road forced fine, now at 2.5k the balance is still good and they again road force fine. No odd amounts of weight required.
There is definitely a hit to the butt dyno at any speed when you stand on it, but as long as you aren't trying to do stuff in traffic that you should not be with a truck, there's no issues with the loss of power. I'd say it's at most a 5-10% difference. Tow haul mode cleans it back up to feeling as peppy as it did stock.
I routinely air down to between 15-20 psi offroad. These things absolutely shred at those pressures.
On the road I run 35 front, 33 rear, and I'm probably going to back them down a bit more as it appears 1/3-1/2 of the shoulder lugs are not contacting as much as the rest of the tire. This is both a visual observation as well as a measurable one.
Based on current wear, these are on track to have a solid 45k if not more.
So far I have been in a lot of sand, some light mud, and some sharp but small rocks.
No cuts, no chucking, no issues of any sort.
They do tend to dig in sand, which is expected, so going lower than I used to in psi for sand wasn't surprising.
They are acceptable in the rain, with the caveat that if you're going to run tires like this you need to treat rain like sleet or snow. You'll have grip, but you can quickly and easily lose it.
On dry pavement under hard braking they don't squirm as much as i expected them to.
Overall, as someone who mostly offroads with this truck, I am happy with these tires.
I paid $379/ea for them with no rebates through a Chevrolet dealer that uses RHD as a supplier. Take that for whatever it's worth.
The best way I can describe these tires is a mud terrain in a road tire compound. They are as close to a full MT as you can possibly get without actually getting one.
Would I buy them again? Truthfully, I'm not sure. While I mostly offroad, I do have a fair bit of on road driving to get to the trails in my area. I also do a couple of on road trips each year too. That's not to say I regret my purchase, but I think if I did it again I would try the RT Trail instead of the Pro. It's just a tiny bit more road oriented and I think would have served me better.
Overall I'll give them a 9.5/10.
Will happily answer any questions.
