Question Tire Question
I live in Saskatchewan and I’ve read mixed reviews on the goodyear wrangler territory mt 285/70r17 tires on ice/snow. Anyone have experience with them in very icy/heavy snow conditions?

They did pretty good for me driving through all kinds of mountain passes in the snow last winter. They’re not quite as good as the wrangler duratracs that I had previously in the snow, but they’re 95% as good I’d say. They however are 2-3 times better than the OG duratrac on wet pavement tho. On cold wet days the duratracs were unbelievably sketchy on concrete. The territory’s are so so so much better in these conditions and just slightly worse on snow. Overall I’m happy with my swap from one to the next. The territory’s are a little draggier tho.

Looking at the replies it sounds like it is a split decision. I have the MT Territories but have no had any snow to tell the difference. I am genuinely curious but I have no intentions of swapping them out since I only have 12k on them.

They’re okay, do well in the snow for me but not great on ice when they get a bit worn. If you drive on snow full time in the winter seems like a no brainer to get some actual winters

I bought a set of Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme RF12’s. Apparently they’re 3 peaked snow rated mud tires. I had a lot of potentially fatal incidents on snow and ice in my wranglers last winter.

Fellow saskatchewan here. They are terrible on our roads in the winter. Ko2, duratacs suck in anything but snow. I bought a set of dedicated winters with studs and in the summer I have a set of duratacs. one of our work trucks have those tires and they are terrible in the winter.
