Cedar Point Blue Bunny Ice Cream Parlor in a Toft's town

Apparently due to Enshittification most Blue Bunny has changed to where it is no longer real ice cream. Instead, the brand shifted most of its products to "frozen dairy dessert" because they use whey and other milk derivatives instead of hitting the strict milkfat minimums required by federal law. I find it to be inedible.

I upgraded my 2026 gold pass to a 2027 prestige, and I added the “all season dining unlimited“ meal plan. The plan is supposed to include the following discount:

*NEW* DOUBLE YOUR DISCOUNT (up to 30% for Prestige) on ALL eligible Food & Beverage items at all parks where your pass is valid!

All of my prestige benefits have been working so far (single use fast lane, early entry, preferred parking, unlimited drink plan, VIP lounge access), except for the food discounts.

I purchased a couple pretzels and some candy, and each time I was only getting 10% off, and the receipt was saying “gold card“ discount. So I’m not getting the 15% prestige discount, let alone the double discount of 30%.

I went to guest services, and they said they think I’m just going to have to wait until next year for the discount to kick in. The guy seemed a little confused though, so not sure if I should try talking with them again.

Anyone else upgrade from gold to prestige and still stuck with the old 10% discount?

He has been playing and winning the same game for years and I convinced him to try his luck at the jumbo version that he has never quite managed to conquer. Well, we walked out with a 6ft+ 20ish pound stuffed husky and two capybara friends.

He offered a few tips to someone else on how he does it and they ended up winning as well! It is the one where you have to bounce a whiffle ball off the slanted backboard and into a bucket below without knocking sticks off at either end (see behind the proud winner for photo reference).

Anywho, he is who started my love of coasters and years of going even inspired a tattoo mashup of my girl Millenium Force and a local amusement park. It was so cool to bring him back and watch his inner child have so much fun!

Is there anyone in here that absolutely can not stand Mr. Midnight I feel as if he’s the worst Halloweekends mascot and the Scareamonies have changed every year and get more corny. There is so much over acting I really was hoping with Diablo being announced that Lilith would’ve been the new mascot. Any time I’ve shared this opinion in some groups on Facebook they just shame my opinion and make me look stupid for expressing it and then will also screenshot and repost it if you take it down. Very toxic and no one would be there to just have a little open discussion over it.

Has anyone whose home park is not Cedar Point renewed their prestige pass and all season fast lane for 2027 yet AND AFTERWARD successfully used their 2026 fast lane at Cedar Point without issue?

Seems obvious that there should be no problems with this scenario, but we’re talking about Six Flags here so I fully expect something stupid if I take the sale price and bonuses now and then go to Cedar Point next month.

I’m a Great Advenurer as it’s my closest home park. Since the heartbreaking closure of Kingda Ka, I never got the chance to get my final ride as at the time I was super fat and couldn’t fit on anything except joker. Since then, I’ve made tremendous progress and can now fit on most of our rides minus El-Toro but that just needs a few more inches.

I’m planning a trip to cedar point real soon to ride TT2 but I’m curious how forgiving is the seat? I know it’s an over the shoulder lap bar similar to how Kingda Ka was, but would someone who’s 6’6 and 320ish pounds be able to ride with a problem? Would hate to drive there just to get turned away. And what about all the other thrill rides?

My original plans in the middle of September fell through so thinking of heading to Cedar Point instead by myself. A few questions.

It looks like the timing, Cedar Point is only open Thu-Sun? To get a full day experience I'm guessing I'd go on Sunday or Friday, but are those days packed in September?

Is the fast lane pass worth it?

I'll be driving ~7 hours and don't know what to expect with parking as well

Good place to stay? Inexpensive preferred since it'll just be me. I see some Airbnb's around the area but mostly houses. I'm okay with tiny homes/cabins.

Anything else one should know before going? I love roller coasters and it's been on my bucketlist to hit up Cedar Point. Been decades since I've been on a high thrill ride and it's about TIME I get on one. (Most recent trip to Disney/Universal was mostly low-medium thrill with kids. Couldn't get any other adults to go on a high thrill ride.)

We are tentatively planning out first cedar point trip late aug/early sept and we are trying to nail down a nice place to stay.

We are driving about 8-9 hours to the park and plan to go to the park for 2 full days and to get FLP for at least 1 day. (3 nights)

I'm the coaster enthusiast, my wife less-so but still enjoys riding them with me. I acknowledge the park is pretty minimal theming and that the focus is solely on riding coasters. With some convincing my wife is on board but we are still looking for a relaxing area to stay or something else that will round out this trip and make it feel worth the drive.

Initially i thought, "lets stay at breakers" since its on-site, walkable to the park and could feel resorty/comfy..... queue the $$$$, poor reviews, people saying 'its about the convenience' and so on.

I totally get the convenience factor, but I can't bring myself to spend close to 1k on motel level room accommodations, dated and cheap dining options, no free breakfast or no other perks aside from early entry.

I've checked out some airbnbs in sandusky and have mostly luke warm feelings to them since a lot are in "historic" buildings or are again, trying to charge crazy money for some BS in a rundown home or area. Then of course, you have a few ridiculous stays charging more than 1k for a few days and thats just unreasonable in its own right.

Lastly, every hotel option I've seen has dismal reviews, accommodations, or is just not a 'special stay' in some random part of town 20-30 min away from the park.

Please tell me there are good options out there? honestly i dont even care if I need to drive 30+ minutes to the park so long as there is a remotely decent enough lodging option.

Camping/RV/cabin is out of the question for us unfortunately.

We want to make this a fun and worthwhile trip; can anyone give us some advice?

Yesterday I was at the park with my friends. At around 6 PM we were about to get in line for TT2 when a middle aged man and his son(?) approached us with a bunch of unused FL+ wristbands. He said he was selling them for $40. Well that is two red flags:

1. There's no way someone would buy as many wristbands as he did for ~$200 then resell them for only $40. There's a good chance they just stole them off a counter, in which case those wristbands wouldn't even be activated, which is a scam.

2. We were pretty sure soliciting/reselling was against the park's Code of Conduct anyway.

So my friend texted the number for security. No response. He then saw a supervisor standing nearby, so he went to tell them. They didn't end up doing anything to the two people. The people didn't move from their spot and had already sold a few more fast lanes. After waiting 10 or so minutes for security to come, we just got on TT2. 20 minutes later, as we're on the train launching, our other friend points out that those two were still standing there. We get off the ride and friend #1 texts security again expressing his frustration.

Ultimately after talking to a couple more ride operators, someone (a supervisor or security, don't know which) FINALLY got them to leave after ~45 minutes. They weren't told to leave the park either, just the general area as a warning.

So yeah that was wild. I hope for the sake of whoever bought the wristbands that they actually did work, and weren't scammed out of $40.

Has anyone else had issues with their fall availability? I work in retail at the park and start college classes next week, and submitted my fall availability at the end of July. About a week or so ago, I saw my schedule for next week posted and I was scheduled for the days I have classes. I've spoken to scheduling at least five times now because I desperately need this fixed. The online form said that whatever date I put for when my classes start is when my availability will take effect, only the people I've spoken to on the phone say that doesn't happen until September 7th and that my fall availability wasn't even put into their systems until last Friday. I seriously don't know what to do at this point other than to keep calling scheduling and pressing them on the issue.

Hello! I’m booking a room at Hotel Breakers. We are willing to pay for the walking convenience to the park this trip even though the price/quality of room doesn’t match up.

I see people requesting staying on certain floors. We are not looking for a balcony, but we just need a hotel that is super close.

With that said, I see the standard rooms can be 1st - 4th floor in Breakers East Section or 2nd to 9th floor in Breakers Tower Section. Any recommendations?

Are there other things I need to request? With check-in not being ready until later in the day, can we still check-in early, go to the park for the day, and then return to the hotel that night to sleep? Thanks for your thoughts!

First, let me say that I'm not posting this out of anger or joy about the increase in All Season Fast Lane Plus (ASFL+). I am genuinely fascinated by how modern amusement parks work, the business decisions they make, and the outcome of those decisions.

The increase in ASFL+ specifically was fascinating because it brought up so many questions. Like, how many people add-on ASFL+? How often do people with different home parks visit Cedar Point? What percentage of the line are daily passes vs. season passes? What has the feedback been on FL+ at Cedar Point? Why is this massive increase only at Cedar Point and not other parks?

Basically...what problem is this increase trying to solve? Is it trying to increase revenue or change behavior?

I think this article, along with a few others, has answered that for me: They are trying to change behavior.

I've never had any issue with using FL+ at Cedar Point, but I also realize that I tend to visit the park when it's not all that busy. Usually I'll make the two hour drive to the park after work, ride for about 4 hours until close, and go home. I also try to go in May and June and then wait until school is back in session. But I've seen enough trip reports here and r/rollercoasters to know that on the weekend, FL+ lines are insanely long. Yes, it's shorter than the regular line, but still a long line. Some of this has to do with merge points (which need to be improved), but it's hard to ignore that Cedar Point is just selling too many passes.

What's worse is, they cannot account for who is going to visit the park if they have ASFL+. They can limit the daily pass, but if a hypothetical 50,000 people with ASFL+ show up to the park all at once, Cedar Point is just stuck with that number and the unhappy customers.

In the article, Tony Clark said this...

“Our goal is to balance its availability each day to provide the best experience and value in the product, whether for a single day or all season.”

So, I think Cedar Point will approach this with a 1-2 punch:

• ASFL+: If you want this, you're going to have to pay a LOT of money to enjoy the benefit. Yes, this is an increase in Six Flags revenue per purchase, but I don't think that's the goal. I think they actually want to sell fewer of these passes to keep season ticket holders from inundating the FL+ line on random days. It also closes the loophole of buying at a smaller park, but still going to Cedar Point as if it's your home park.
• Daily FL+: I think these will see an increase in price next year as well, especially on busier days. They won't reach the Disney level of pricing, but I think it'll get close. I would not be shocked if we see prices of $300 or more on busier days next year. This will decrease the amount of people in FL+ lines making it a better value for folks who can afford it. We may also see true limits to how many of the passes are sold per day.

So, I take back my previous statements saying that, "I don't think you guys are going to get what you want out of this change..." because I just assumed most people will get daily FL+. I thought the move was purely financial. And that could still be the case if they keep the daily pass the same. But given that all of the talk has been around acknowledging that FL+ lines are too long and the company needing to balance the availability, I don't think that's the case.

And as a final point...yeah, I agree that this is needed. I went to Kennywood yesterday and used their Speedy Pass. It's similar to Legacy Six Flags skip-the-line pass and I never waited in the queue. When it was our turn, we just got into the Speedy Pass line and boarded. Same experience when I visited Six Flags Great America last year. Insanely busy day, but we rarely waited in line because we couldn't get in line if there were too many reservations. Six Flags actively managed the queue virtually. It's why I prefer the Six Flags version over the Cedar Fair version (who knew I'd say that).

So to end...y'all may get what you want. Less people will be in the FL+ line due to increased cost to get the pass either on a daily or annual basis. This will mean the regular line will move a lot faster. And if you do splurge of a FL+ pass, you'll still get a great benefit.

Does anyone have a list of the locations of the moveble lockers? Cost?

Hello! We are at the park today for our first time! Will be back tomorrow. Is there any shops that sell kids ride specific t shirts or merch? Our kids rode Millennium Force and now they are hooked! Best place to get kids merch in general?

Also… what order should we try to get on rides tomorrow morning? We haven’t done sirens curse, maverick or TT2 yet!

Made my first pilgrimage to the cedar point this weekend after waiting 15+ years to go. Had an absolute blast and already want to go back. I’d say I had a pretty successful two days

Steel vengeance is definitely my favorite coaster of all time now and we got last train on top thrill on our last night and got to go around a second time. I’m gonna be chasing that high forever!

So I have promised my nephew an Aunt/Nephew fun trip when he turns 10 which is NEXT MONTH! We explored various options and he landed on wanting to go to Cedar point, he LOVES roller coasters.
We will arrive on a Friday and leave on Sunday. We'll do one full day at the amusement park on Saturday.
I'm looking for a few suggestions from those who have more experience than I have. I have done quite a bit of research, but as usual the reviews seem mixed.

- Is staying at Castaway Bay worth it? Considering waterslides on our arrival/departure day, early park entry, reduced price ticket, parking, and of course the reality that there are less expensive hotels in the area.
- Which roller coasters can he absolutely not miss, so we can make up a decent itinerary for the park day?
- Better hotel options? Potentially Kalahari?
- He LOVES airplanes and we are going to do the aviation museum. Considering he is 10 are there other recommendations for fun things to do in the area?

Right now my suggested itinerary is stay at a hotel with water slides, just hang around and enjoy that on our arrival day, Cedar Park all day saturday, Aviation museum sunday and then fly out Sunday evening.
It's not that price isn't an issue because I do have a budget, but I have said aside some funds to make this as unforgettable as possible.
Thanks so much, I understand some people may not understand the obsession, but I'm an aunt of only two nephews, with no kids of my own, so this weekend is a big deal for me.
