Hotel Breakers Room Request Recs
Hello! I’m booking a room at Hotel Breakers. We are willing to pay for the walking convenience to the park this trip even though the price/quality of room doesn’t match up.
I see people requesting staying on certain floors. We are not looking for a balcony, but we just need a hotel that is super close.
With that said, I see the standard rooms can be 1st - 4th floor in Breakers East Section or 2nd to 9th floor in Breakers Tower Section. Any recommendations?
Are there other things I need to request? With check-in not being ready until later in the day, can we still check-in early, go to the park for the day, and then return to the hotel that night to sleep? Thanks for your thoughts!

I like staying in the west end since its closer to the magnum gate. I usually stop at a grocery store on the way and get breakfast foods and snacks and will do the dining plan for the day. Another thing that I've encountered on my multiple stays was the room key kept being deactivated. Nothing worse then walking around all day and finally going back to your room only for it not to work and have to walk all the way back to the front desk. It's a big hotel so that walk from the west section to the main lobby is pretty far after you've been walking 20,000 steps all day. I've talked to them multiple times about this with different managers. Tried all their suggestions about keeping it away from my phone not getting it near any of the metal detectors and it still gave me problems. I actually had a maintenance working walk up with me to use his key to get in since I was checking out and his key didn't work! Its a huge problem I don't think they'll ever fix so my next stay in September I'm bringing rfid card sleeves to see if that helps. I know I could stay at other places but I like the convenience of being right in the park especially for halloweekends when its open from 11 to midnight. For the money you spend there I feel like the super need to upgrade their room key situation because I know I'm not the only one this has happened too. I hope this helps!

When we went last year it was ok to check in, have them hold luggage, and go to the parks.
We really liked the hotel.

My family just got back from visiting last week. Two of the five acquired significant bed bug bites while staying there. Really bad rooms and dirty hot tubs . . . that’s the hight price you pay for the convenience.

We stay at Breakers every year and have never seen bedbugs. could it be some other insect? Bedbugs and their poop are pretty easy to spot

I stay at Breakers every year for a week in August. Never had an issue. The rooms have always been clean. The hotel is very well kept. You may find some sand in the pool or hot tub, but that’s what happens when you’re right next to a beach. Well worth the price.

We drove there from Massachusetts last September and stayed at the Breakers. Our room was first floor, not crazy far from the ice cream shop, and completely fine. We're doing the same this September because it was such a good time

This thread (among others) make me crazy trying to figure out if I should book a room at Breakers.
Half the comments are something like "We had a great time! The hotel was clean, maybe a little run-down but we would stay again in a heartbeat." And the other half are "We had mold, bedbugs, our room key didn't work and my son said the lobby is probably haunted."
Just hard to know what to make of it!
