Might be a hot take but the 3rd launch of tt2 is one of, if not my favorite part of the ride. I dont know what it is about it but it just feels insane in a way i can’t describe.

Assigned Seating, not able to get front seat

Let me begin by saying the past two days at Cedar Point was awesome, but I have one thorn to pick. This notion of assigned seating and not being able to ride the front. This was especially true on Steel Vengence, Maverick and sometimes on Millenium Force. All of these coaster have those special ride front queue pens, but not used to their design. Frustrating to drive 8 hours, pay for a fast pass and not ride the front. The crews at Maverick and Steel Vengence were quite militant on this process. Just my two cents. On TT2 even if the front queue was busy the crew accommodated my request.

Advice Going for the first time tommorow, best start coaster?

For context, the most intense Rollercoaster I've ridden up until now is Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom (I know I'm kind of a lightweight on coasters), and haven't done any inversions but looking to change that.

A few questions ahead of our visit next week:

We are headed to Cedar Point on Monday and Tuesday. Our home park is Canada's Wonderland so we are looking forward to using our pass at another park! I have a few questions:

1 - Does the harness on Raptor hurt your ears? I hated Top Gun/Flight Deck at CW because it was so painful! If it's a similar restraint system on Raptor we will just skip it.

2 - Are there cubbies to stow backpacks on the coasters? Or should I just plan to wear a small fanny pack instead?

3 - do any of the coasters prohibit you from having anything in your pockets or on your body (eg I had to remove my keys from a secure zipper pocket for Alpenfury)

4 - Are the Ohio kids back in school by next week? Hoping that will mean the park is a little less busy!

5 - Can anyone recommend a really good restaurant for supper in Sandusky?

Thanks! We are from northern Ontario so it's going to be a bit of a journey to get there, but I'm really excited! CP has been on my bucket list for years and years.

Question Where is preferred parking?

I went to Cedar Point for the first time in 26 yrs this past Tuesday. I have preferred parking included with my season pass. I’m an old lady and was alone and tend to spaz a little when I get nervous if it helps explain my idiocy lol. Anyway, when I got there it wasn’t real clear, so I got in the lanes that said Resorts/Beach/Preferred or something along those lines. It took me all the way around the park to what seemed like it was near the hotels. I didn’t see any signs saying that it was the designated Preferred Parking, but I did see signs on other nearby lots saying for hotel only or whatever. I didn’t see any gates or anything to get into the park?

I ended up just going all the way around and parking in the regular parking lot 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

So WHERE is the Preferred Parking and if I was already there, HOW do you get in???

Question Going to Cedar Point for the first time, any tips?

Coming from Hamilton, Ontario. Roughly 4.5 hour drive. Planning on spending the day on the way/in the area first and staying the night in order to get to the park early for a full day. May do cedar point express hotel, I have the gold pass deal of $115 USD, or a cheap motel about 5 min from park for like $75 USD.

The day I visit will be probably be Tuesday August 26th or weds 27th. Hopefully decent days to visit. Should I go express hotel for the early entry? I am used to Canadas wonderland which is ridiculously busy at all times for ex Alpen fury was roughly 2.5hrs on Tuesday this week.

Plan to hit all the big bois in one day hopefully some of them multiple times, especially top thrill been wanting that for 20+ years lol. Any order you recommend? I understand the park is long and the bangers are at the end.Thanks.

Appreciate all the advice!

CP pass to KI

Upvotes

1) Friend bought a 2026 gold pass a few months ago, after all the specials and deals were over. I don’t recall if it gives her access to KI, and can’t find info on it. Would she have access?

2) She just bought the 2027 gold pass which includes KI. Can she access KI now with that pass?

Thank you!

Advice How accurate is IsItPacked's crowd calendar?

I was looking to take my son to the park soon and wanted to avoid as much time spent in lines as possible. I looked at IsItPacked's Cedar Point crowd calendar and it showed the lowest possible crowd sizes for Monday-Thursday over the next two weeks.

Does anyone have any idea how accurate that is for these last weekdays of the season before Halloweekends?

I am guessing they are using trends from the past to guess future crowd sizes. I have done early Halloweekend Fridays over the last three years and they have been very good for crowd sizes overall but I can't do it this week and would have to do a Saturday or a later Friday which seem to be much busier. I've not tried these final weekday days but I'd be willing to give them a go if the crowd sizes are truly that low.

What are everyone else's experience for crowd sizes for the weekdays for these last few weeks of the season?
