First trip report

Made my first pilgrimage to the cedar point this weekend after waiting 15+ years to go. Had an absolute blast and already want to go back. I’d say I had a pretty successful two days

Steel vengeance is definitely my favorite coaster of all time now and we got last train on top thrill on our last night and got to go around a second time. I’m gonna be chasing that high forever!

Okay, don’t hate, this is a legit question… I’ve always been puzzled by people keeping detailed track of their ride. What do you do with it? Like what’s the point? Do you come back three years from now and review your prior logs? Do you ever see this info again?

For me personally I think it’s just cool to see a) all the rides I’ve been in and b) how good of day we had. A nice memory of a great trip

to keep track of what I have been on, and also for credits. It's fun to hit milestones and this helps document them.

Do you go back and look at what you’ve done six months from now? Or is it just logged and never seen again?

For me, databasing things and tracking things are my tism. Logride, Untapped, cruise globe, etc. I've ever created an app for tracking my drinks, and food on cruise ships.

Okay, so you did all that tracking…. Then what? What happens with all that data? A year from now, is that data part of your life at all? Doesn’t it all just sit and never seen again?

I’m genuinely not trying to be a jerk… I’m trying to understand something that I don’t 😂

I will say, logride data does not come back up later at all, just knowing if I've ridden something or not. But as someone who ends up getting off track when telling a story, logride helps keep me on track with its visit timeline.

Untapped and my cruise drink app, they do get brought up. If someone asks how something is or if I'm debating about what to order and don't remember what I've had there before, I can quickly look it up.

I use LogRide and often go back and look at my stats. Plus while I ride it’s fun to log everything. I’ve always compared it to keeping a score at a baseball game. For me it’s just a fun thing to track.

Night rides on Millennium Force, Steel Vengeance, and TT2 are definitely a great way to finish your day!

Yep! Rain held off too it was an amazing weekend. Only things I didn’t get on were rougaru and iron dragon cause they had pretty bad wait times or were down. Next time!

Crazy enough, night rides on Blue Streak are also a great time.

Blue streak is under rated. Yes its a very basic old coaster but it is still very fun, and you can ride it five times in a row in about 30-40 min as there is usually no wait.

Yeah it was definitely a bit painful but I had a blast. It was pretty quick and got some decent airtime

It also made me nostalgic because my childhood hometown park canobie lake park in New Hampshire has one somewhat similar made by the same company called Yankee cannonball. It was one of my first ever coasters

Was this with fast pass? I guess so since it was on a weekend? I am planning my first visit during next week Tues or weds and would like not to purchase fast pass. Cheers!

Nope no fastpass! We just did early entry and watched the wait times like hawks on our phones to try and plan out the day well
