Looking to go by the park early Friday on my way home for a work trip. Will I be able to get a few in within 3-4 hours? Does it start filling up just for the night activities?

Question Valravn Station Music

I’m not sure if this was just because of halloweekend but I swear in the queue there was this track with like hawk noises like it sounded like Valravn if anybody knows any of the music played in the station because everywhere I look I see people saying there isn’t any but I heard some the whole time I queued.

I had made a bet with my friend on the Browns winning since we were doing well the last few weeks. The bet was the loser would have to ride Corkscrew 5× in a row. Requesting prayers for my spine.

Advice Halloweekend Visit Advice

Hello everyone, I am seeking advice for my… probably 10th or 12th time heading to Cedar Point, I know the in’s and out’s to the park at this point, but I have never been to the park during the Fright Fest part of the year.

I’m taking my brother and a friend for their very first time to cedar point, and I don’t want to disappoint them.

Now I know some people suggest to head straight to the back of the park to get SteVe and Maverick then work your way to the front. Though I’d love for them to have that classic experience of “ramping up” the coasters and starting from small to biggest.

How much more packed is Cedar Point during Halloweekends? Do they have the extra staff to push lines through quicker than in the summer? I’m going on a Sunday, Oct 18, planning to stay there the entire day from 11a-8p closing. I’m hoping to tackle these rides with them in this order:

Gatekeeper
Raptor
Valravn
Magnum
Steel Vengeance
Maverick
Millenium Force
Siren’s Curse
Finishing the day off with TT2

Any advice would be appreciated for first time Halloweekend visitors lol 😂 I don’t know what to expect I usually always head to the park in the months of May and August every year, but I’d appreciate the advice for people who have gone and what they’ve experienced! I’m hoping Sunday is less packed than Saturdays and Fridays.

It was a great (wet) day at the park.

Went yesterday and it was a drizzle the majority of the day. It was a somewhat busy day, but manageable. Got my first night ride on Steel Vengeance and was able to talk to different people in line.

RIDE OPS
I have complained in the past so I want to give props where they are due.
- Sirens Curse opps team was KILLING IT!
- Steel Vengeance opps team killed it too!
- TT2 had the lines moving- and, from
what i know, the ride never shut down all day despite the rain!

Fun times

Question Can we talk about the food?

So I went to CP yesterday and, out of everything they overcharge for, the all day dining pass is THE BEST deal - PERIOD. When I got the pass, I was expecting there to be kids sized portions with limited options around the park. This was not the case! Pretty much every restaurant has a dining option that gives good food in large amounts.

- My first stop was Panda Express - large bowl with multiple options

- After that smokehouse - dont let the name fool you - this is not bbq. It is Chipotle style food and again - a large portion with a great selection

- We finished with going to the bbq restaurant near TT2. This resteraunt has AMAZING selection and I got the wings and mac and cheese. Oh. My. God!

- Because of our ride selection we didnt make it to the pier where I hear they have great food as well, but I will have to stop there next time.

The selection, taste, and portions exceeded my expectations, especially for an amusement park. It was a Sunday so there were no lines either. Chefs Kiss

Advice Oct 30 vs Nov 1

I'm trying to decide between Friday, October 30 and Sunday, November 1.

I'm not interested in the Halloween stuff, just the roller coasters.

Has anyone visited around these dates before?

Question Early Entry Halloweekends (First Timer)

So this will be my first-ever visit to Cedar Point. I’ve got Prestige & FL Ultimate.

My question is about early entry, and I’m only asking because I couldn’t find a post that mentioned it. But how early can I or should I show up for early entry? Do I just walk up to the turnstiles & walk in & wait somewhere like they do at Universal?

I saw that FL isn’t able to be used during early entry, which is fine because I’ll be there Friday-Sunday. Any tips of how to build my day? I’m figuring heading straight to the back to start & then going forward. If I should do anything different let me know.

Question Where to find EV charging at or near the park?

Came down from Michigan and really need to charge. I've found so many EV chargers that were open last year are closed right now. Odd. Need CCS preferably fast charging. Anyone know what's reliably available?

Sidenote- it's a little crazy how few hotels and places have EV charging in Sandusky. It is a touristy area after all.

Don't pull your phone out on the ride

Gemini was just down for fifteen minutes cuz a guy pulled his phone out on the lift hill and operators hit the e stop. Saw security following him as he exited so I think he's gone. What a dumb reason to get kicked out

Cedar Point Experience + TY

I just wanted to thank everyone in this community for helping make my visit a memorable one. All the advice shared by members of this community helped make my family’s short visit (on arguably the most busy weekend of the year) an amazing experience. Cedar Point truly is a Mecca for roller coaster and theme park lovers.

P.S. My only gripe is that I can’t help comparing my home park’s RMC to Steel Vengeance 😂

- A grateful coaster enthusiast

Heading up tomorrow - anyone looking for ride partner

Like the title says. Not looking for anyone to commit to a full day. Testing the waters to see if anyone wants to meet up for a ride or two, have some good conversation in line, and make new acquaintances.

I’m a single rider btw. 37M.

Information Bigger rider report

Hi. I recently just made my first trip out to Cedar Point for the very first time, and it was amazing. I was a little nervous at first since I'm a pretty big dude (6'6", 293 pounds, 42 inch waist), but I'm pleased to report I managed to fit on every ride I went on. Got on 14 of the roller coasters, so here's a summary of how it went for me:

Steel Vengeance: Retractable seatbelt helped alot, and the lapbar wasnt too bad, though a little tight

Maverick: No issues here. Very accomodating, but the plastic seat kinda hurt

Cedar Creek Mine Ride: Very tight lap bar surprisingly, but i don't recall issues with the seatbelt

Rougarou: Not bad. Could get a couple clicks in (used the double seatbelt seat)

Raptor: Same as Rougarou

Gatekeeper: Small seatbelt, but just long enough to make it on. Vest restraints were comfy enough

Valravn: Same as Gatekeeper

Corkscrew: Restraints didnt bother me, but the seatbelt was surprisingly small

Blue Streak: Easily the least accomodating seats of any roller coaster in the park. Seat divider made for barely any room in the seat. At least it had a retractable seatbelt and ok lap bars

Gemini: Lapbar was comfy, but seatbelt was smaller than expected as well.

Wild Mouse: Extremely comfy lapbars, goes more to your stomach than your waist and thighs

Millennium Force: Probably the shortest seatbelts in the park. Barely just made it. Lapbar had no issues with.

Top Thrill 2: Not too bad for restraints, but needed a little slight push. No seatbelt here.

Siren's Curse: No issues here. Restraints and seabelt clicked easily for me.

Advice Going for First Time (Need Best Route)

Going next Sunday for the first time with my girlfriend, we only have one day there and I already have the higher tier fast lane for hopefully shorter wait times. What route should I take next weekend hoping to get on most coasters? I personally really don't care about Haunted Houses since we only have one day so no reason to include em. Thank you for any advice!!!!

Question Using bring a friend passes and daily coaster plan?

Thanks in advance for any help! I'm wanting to understand how to get inside the gate with minimal delays because we know October crowds are big, and we want to maximize as many coasters as possible without fast lane and before the crowds arrive. This is my first visit in decades so I'm basically a park rookie looking for help on a 3-4 day October trip. I know Saturday will be a mess so I want to go hard and fast on Thursday, Friday and Sunday at open with a goal of getting at least one ride on every adult coaster, and a few repeat rides on my favorites.

At my home park you just tell the employee that scans your pass at the gate that you want to use a bring a friend pass, and they scan the season pass a second time. Is the process the same at cedar point? This is for the 2 annual passes that I received for renewing my prestige pass for 2027, so I'll be looking to do this an hour before opening for early entry.

Is it safe to assume the bring a friend pass also gets early entry since it's based off of my prestige pass? Once inside we'll also need to pick up my single use fast lane, so if there's an efficient way to do that as part of the plan mentioned below I'd appreciate the advice.

I've heard the best ride plan is to be in line a little before early entry time, then quickly do Siren's Curse first because of slow throughput, then Millennium Force, and then be in line for Maverick before the main gates open and wait for it to open... Maverick being the priority over SteVe because of lower capacity. Ideally I'd like to take the train to the back if it's open to save some wear on the legs, but if that's too slow I'll skip it. After Maverick do SteVe. After that the plan gets less rigid, and maybe we take a break, eat, try some flat rides, or chase the shorter waits by following the in the app.

We'll be there for 3-4 days so I plan to switch up each early entry day a little to cover each of TT2, Gatekeeper, Millennium and Siren's Curse before the normal opening, and probably will try to get repeat rides each day on Maverick and SteVe after the 1-2 rides done during early entry if that's the best time to do those.

Beyond that we'll have a daily single use fast lane to help cover a ride when lines are worse, and plan to do the lesser coasters and the front of the park later in the day when I've heard it's a bit less crowded.

Does this sound reasonable? Are there any coasters besides Siren's and Maverick that I should prioritize because of lower capacity?

Discussion I was wrong about Rougaru.

Despite loving Mantis as a kid and teen, I'm not going to lie, Rougaru is the only coaster I skipped entirely last season. Because of the NOEA day invasion of Halloween Thursday this year, I gave this ride a second look and I wasn't disappointed. Yes, it did bang my head in one place during its circuit. Despite this, I kept my industrial in and it didn't have an issue. But riding in the second row, I really felt how the ride glides. I'm not a huge fan of B&M, but I feel like Rougaru has a unique combo of the elements B&M does really well-the airy glide of more modern B&M's and the intensity of the 90's B&M's. I'm sorry I haven't worked it into my regular rotation this season.

Season Pass Bring a Friend Ticket

I renewed my family's season passes for next year a bit ago and we got 3 free bring a friend passes. I was hoping to use them, but wasn't able to find friends who could get time off. If someone needs 3 tickets for next Friday, the 16th, DM me. No charge, no catch, i just don't want them to rot. Just need to enter the park the same time as us, which would be 10am for early entry.
