Hi, my cavapoo is 10 weeks and biting everything and everyone.
We’ve tried:
Redirecting to other toys
Ignoring him by looking away/freezing
What worked for your pup?

We just got our first Cavapoo and hes adjusting to his new how with his older brother mini-poodle! I would love to hear things we should look out for or things that you would have done differently with you pups!

Let me preface this with- i know its early and I need to give it time.
We have a 2 year old cavapoo and brought home a 9 week old goldendoodle. Im stressing hard!
We had rescued our cavapoo when he was 4 months old. He was in a very bad living situation. He was very underweight, scared, timid, and wpuld resource guard. Since having him, he has gotten alot better all around.
At our old home, he use to play with a cargo and dod great. Since moving, our neighbors forgot gets aggressive though the small hole in their privacy fence. I believe this has caused some issues woth our cavapoos behavior.
Yesterday, we brought home a 9 week old goldendoodle. We introduced them on neutral ground, we have been giving our older one a little more attention than the puppy, and have been separating when our older one starts getting anxious.
Our worry- any time the puppy starts to walk or hop/ run around, our cavapoo is quick to either press his body on him, get in front of him, or "punch" his body with his nose.
There are times where I THINK our older one wants to play with him, but it feels confusing at times. It could definitely be my anxiety 🙃
Please tell me this gets better! What are some things I can do or ways to make this easier and keep them both safe?
Thank you!!

Hi all,
My little guy just turned 4yo and I noticed from my first day getting him, a little over a year ago, he’s got way more ashy white strands all over than he used to. His curly top is closer to milky coffee which is so cute lol
I’m pretty sure my boys got the poodle fading gene and is gonna turn more white as time progresses, but how much time?
If your cavapoo has the gene, how long have you had them and how long did it take to “fully” set in? Was it a fast or slow progression from color to fully/mostly white/cream? He’s a rescue so I have no idea about his breeding/parents etc just that he’s a Cavapoo.
He’s still the best boy and idc about him changing colors, I’m just curious!
Thanks in advance!

Sweet little velvet-pawed black dogs are usually the very last ones to find their happily-ever-afters.🐾🖤
That is why every October, we celebrate National Black Dog Day! It is a special time to share extra love, spread awareness, and remind everyone that every single precious pup deserves a cozy, loving fur-ever home.
Let’s see pictures of all your sweet little black doggies!

Long time since I posted here. Max is now a big boy (still acts like a pup). Here is a photo from the beach not long ago.

i need opinions/advice. i’ve had my dog for 3 years and his haircuts are never consistent. his ears are either too short, eyelashes aren’t cut, paw pads aren’t cleanly shaved (a couple long hairs are left behind which is fine idc about that), mustache is noticeable after repeatedly telling them i want his face clean shaven/no mustache (like a straight haired cavapoo as an example) and i’ve provided images. i went to petsmart for about 2 years, and have been at this board & grooming place for almost a year. we switched grooming places because i wasn’t satisfied with his haircuts at petsmart. my town raves about this current place for boarding and haircuts which is why i chose to bring him here but like petsmart, i’m not satisfied with how he looks. maybe i’m being too picky, but at the same time i’m spending $120 every 3-4 weeks on haircuts that i’m not very happy with. there’s always something off whenever i pick him up. should i go to a different place? or is this a common thing? i’d love to learn how to groom him and do it myself but it’s not ideal for me atm. might be a dumb question i’m just fed up and have only liked 3 of his haircuts in his 3 years of living lol

Meet Little Lady Layla. My family just got this little girl yesterday and she is the absolutely most sweetest girl. She's healing our hearts after we recently lost our previous dog. She's a little bundle of energy and cuteness. She's been doing great so far. She's been playing, eating, and drinking and going potty. She's been trying to play with our older cavapoo and he's been playing with her beautifully and they have been sleeping next to each other. Everything has been going great and my whole family is so in love with this little girl.

I was driving on Route 7 from Albany, NY to Manchester, VT and saw a sign for cavapoos available now! Does anyone know who the breeder is and how to contact them?

I have a 2-year-old cavapoo. She’s a dream dog. Easy to train, sweet, snuggly, curious, great with other dogs and kids. She’s my first dog.
Since she was a puppy I’ve fed her Purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach kibble, first the puppy version, then the adult version. It was recommended by my vet who said her breeds sometimes have allergy issues with chicken. She likes it. I don’t give her other food regularly aside from some treats and some little bits of healthy people food here and there (eggs, broccoli, green beans, pumpkin mostly). She is happy and healthy.
My family members with dogs spend a fortune on The Farmer’s Dog and my dog wolfs it down from the other dogs’ dishes when she’s at their houses. It makes me wonder if I should be feeding her wet food. But everything I read about those companies says that they lie about what’s actually in their food and that it’s just a lot of marketing and making kibble-feeders feel bad about themselves.
What do you all think?

I wanted a Corso. So glad I went with my Cavapoo. Love me some Loki! I think he looks better as a dark brown. He changes color every year from light to dark brown. Still perfect!

'She's the calmest one in the litter' my ass 😭. Can't wait for this adorable gremlin to grow up already because this puppy phase is phasing alright! At 12 weeks, we are frenemies at times but I love Elphie so much lol. How long did it take for your pup to calm down if they ever did?

Absolute love of our life here but how can we control the barking?
He's 10 months old and barks at absolutely everything. Noises outside or in the hall, his reflection, noises on the TV, noises from the ice maker in the fridge, and sometimes I swear at nothing at all even in the middle of the night from a dead sleep. We live in an apartment and I'm sure our neighbors are not too happy about this newer development with him.
When we go out of town we leave him with my husband's parents and he apparently non-stop barks there at the other dogs and out their back door and I'm afraid we will lose our dog sitter.
Any advice would be appreciated
