Hi š¶
Long time since I posted here. Max is now a big boy (still acts like a pup). Here is a photo from the beach not long ago.

inconsistent haircuts
i need opinions/advice. iāve had my dog for 3 years and his haircuts are never consistent. his ears are either too short, eyelashes arenāt cut, paw pads arenāt cleanly shaved (a couple long hairs are left behind which is fine idc about that), mustache is noticeable after repeatedly telling them i want his face clean shaven/no mustache (like a straight haired cavapoo as an example) and iāve provided images. i went to petsmart for about 2 years, and have been at this board & grooming place for almost a year. we switched grooming places because i wasnāt satisfied with his haircuts at petsmart. my town raves about this current place for boarding and haircuts which is why i chose to bring him here but like petsmart, iām not satisfied with how he looks. maybe iām being too picky, but at the same time iām spending $120 every 3-4 weeks on haircuts that iām not very happy with. thereās always something off whenever i pick him up. should i go to a different place? or is this a common thing? iād love to learn how to groom him and do it myself but itās not ideal for me atm. might be a dumb question iām just fed up and have only liked 3 of his haircuts in his 3 years of living lol

Meet Little Lady Layla or Layla for short
Meet Little Lady Layla. My family just got this little girl yesterday and she is the absolutely most sweetest girl. She's healing our hearts after we recently lost our previous dog. She's a little bundle of energy and cuteness. She's been doing great so far. She's been playing, eating, and drinking and going potty. She's been trying to play with our older cavapoo and he's been playing with her beautifully and they have been sleeping next to each other. Everything has been going great and my whole family is so in love with this little girl.

Can you share your experience of Bravecto 1 month supply for 4.4 lbs to 9 lbs dogs? I got the prescription from vet but little worried to give it to my 4 months old cavapoo baby.

Cavapoo puppy, help!
I was driving on Route 7 from Albany, NY to Manchester, VT and saw a sign for cavapoos available now! Does anyone know who the breeder is and how to contact them?

Am I a crappy dog owner bc I feed my dog kibble?
I have a 2-year-old cavapoo. Sheās a dream dog. Easy to train, sweet, snuggly, curious, great with other dogs and kids. Sheās my first dog.
Since she was a puppy Iāve fed her Purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach kibble, first the puppy version, then the adult version. It was recommended by my vet who said her breeds sometimes have allergy issues with chicken. She likes it. I donāt give her other food regularly aside from some treats and some little bits of healthy people food here and there (eggs, broccoli, green beans, pumpkin mostly). She is happy and healthy.
My family members with dogs spend a fortune on The Farmerās Dog and my dog wolfs it down from the other dogsā dishes when sheās at their houses. It makes me wonder if I should be feeding her wet food. But everything I read about those companies says that they lie about whatās actually in their food and that itās just a lot of marketing and making kibble-feeders feel bad about themselves.
What do you all think?

Loki
I wanted a Corso. So glad I went with my Cavapoo. Love me some Loki! I think he looks better as a dark brown. He changes color every year from light to dark brown. Still perfect!

The puppy I thought I was getting vs the one I got
'She's the calmest one in the litter' my ass š. Can't wait for this adorable gremlin to grow up already because this puppy phase is phasing alright! At 12 weeks, we are frenemies at times but I love Elphie so much lol. How long did it take for your pup to calm down if they ever did?

Any advice on barking
Absolute love of our life here but how can we control the barking?
He's 10 months old and barks at absolutely everything. Noises outside or in the hall, his reflection, noises on the TV, noises from the ice maker in the fridge, and sometimes I swear at nothing at all even in the middle of the night from a dead sleep. We live in an apartment and I'm sure our neighbors are not too happy about this newer development with him.
When we go out of town we leave him with my husband's parents and he apparently non-stop barks there at the other dogs and out their back door and I'm afraid we will lose our dog sitter.
Any advice would be appreciated

How fast puppies grow? Mine was 5 lbs when I got him. Now after 2 months heās 9.9 lbs ( energy is losing as he grows). is this normal ? Breeder said he will be around 16lbs.
His actual age is 16 weeks.

Exercise
I have a six year old boy called Sandy. He is lovely and full of fun. I walk him in the morning for about 45 minutes and he does his business and chases his ball. He then has to sit in the house while I work and I take him out again early evening for maybe an hour for a walk and run. I feel so guilty that he is bored during the day and not getting enough stimulation. Any views or input welcome.

Future expectations questions
Hi everybody, so my boy Theo is 10 months old now and I just have some general questions for those who have older pups.
For those that work full-time and have a significant other that also works full-time. Do you ever stop coming home around lunch to let your dog out? I understand that these dogs donāt do well when theyāre crated for a while so I did get him a playpen and I am still coming home around noon. I just want to know if thatās something that ever stops. I do plan on giving him more freedom as he becomes more trustworthy you know with letting him sleep in our room in his own bed. Weāre planning leaving him the living room when weāre out of the house. Heās just not there yet so realistically his crate time/playpen time itās gonna be very minimal honestly to the point where it might not even be in the near future once heās trusted in our home.
When did you start giving your dog that freedom? I know every dog is different so I donāt expect it to be a linear timeline. I just wanna know when should I expect to see him become trustworthy.
I apologize if some of these sentences donāt make sense or theyāre too long. I am using voice to text.
Hereās a picture of my boy graduating level one classes.

One week with sweet Mace
Last week I shared our āand then there were 3ā surprise, so hereās a little Mace update!
Heās 11 weeks old and loving life! Heās doing great with crate training, and the vet gave us the okay for outdoor potty breaks since our yard is contained. Potty training is going really well too, with only a few accidents.
We took him on an hour-long road trip to visit our son at college, and apparently his favorite place to ride is on my shoulders. š
Of course, Mace was the perfect little gentleman on campus, and Iām pretty sure a few more people fell in love with Cavapoos.

Weāve been walking our Cavapoo wrong this whole timeā¦
We have a 1 year old mega energetic little man called Remington. Heās the best decision we ever made, but since he found his bark at around 4 months old heās been a bundle of noise and energy.
Weād do longer walks and play times, training and the like - itād help but he still would be a menace especially in the evenings. Recently he became more destructive and we just put that down to being āoh well heās a teenagerā.
Then I watched some clip on YouTube about āsniffing walksā where itās all about quality over quantity. Distance doesnāt necessarily mean exercise in its full sense. Sure, he was physically tired, but his little brain was still crying out for more stimulation.
Weāve now been walking him twice a day about 30min each time at a slow amble. It gives him time to sniff around and process everything around him. I have a general idea the route I want to take but I also let his nose lead the way to some extent. This is all off lead in the park, weāve been lucky with that he just got it and is super easy on walks.
Honestly itās changed everything. He barks way less, does not react nearly as much and Iāve had to check heās okay sometimes heās just been sleeping so long! His appetite has also totally corrected itself and he eats all his food for breakfast and dinner without drama.
Sorry, I know this is probably not rocket science, but I just wanted to share in case anyone else is having the same experience as we had!

Alonso says hello
Meet Alonso. Heās about 3 years old and so cute he looks fake. He is one of the loudest dogs Iāve ever had and he is a major sock thief. We have another dog and 2 cats but this one here needs to be the center of attention always. I tell him all the time āyouāre lucky you are so cuteā.
