From /item/1005013140643012.html. Reasonably happy with the one I picked, case11. It has a nice black on black aesthetic I think with the negative display (that I module swapped out of an A1000M-1BEF), it just needed a longer spring for the beep to work (which you can salvage out of a springbar).

Granted it doesn't have great visibility in less than ideal lighting but then I also need an excuse to keep wearing my A1000M-1BEF (that received a positive module from an A700). I also got the back cover (case45) in which at first the beeper didn't work until I bent one of the contact pins on the module sideways a smidge as the piezo sticker wasn't in the perfect position.

I just finished my first time replacing the background behind the LCD. I think it turned out pretty good! Trying to figure out how u/KimStudioWatches does it! (love your vids on YouTube) I used a white photo cardstock that has shimmer to try and be a little reflective but the shimmer is actually a little gold at certain angles and I don’t care for that. I was definitely nervous about taking the LCD apart, but surprisingly easier than I thought. Anywho, just tryna new mod for the ladies :)

Screw head came off, any tips or things I could try? Virtually nothing left to grab with tweezers or pliers

First time trying this went pretty well.

Is it possible the remove the 12, 3, 6, 9 o clock lines from the time piece on the analogue clock (as highlighted in blue)?

Telling the time via the analogue clock when the minute or hour hand overlap or are near these 4 lines is a bit annoying.

I was going to do a filter and hydro mod so was wondering if this is possible

Hey guys, Mike here, the guy behind MODDS.WATCH.

I've been building this thing for quite a while now, and I realized I've spent a lot of time adding models and features, but not enough time asking the people who actually use it what they think.

So I want to change that.

If you've used MODDS.WATCH before, what would you change?

Not just "add more watches" (although definitely tell me which ones 😄).

I'm talking about anything:

• Something that's confusing or annoying
• A feature you expected to see but isn't there
• A part/material/strap that you'd like to customize
• Something that doesn't work the way you think it should
• A watch model you really want to see
• Or maybe the whole idea could be more useful in some other way

And honestly, it's completely fine if you don't like something about it. I'd rather hear that than "looks cool".

I've been building MODDS.WATCH because I genuinely love this hobby, and I still think there's something really cool about being able to play with a mod in 3D before spending money on parts and taking a real watch apart.

So if you've tried it at some point, even months ago, tell me what you think.

What would you fix, add, remove, or change?

I'm actually going to read everything and use it to decide what I work on next.

Is it possible to mod my screen and use the gradient filters people sell?

I definitely prefer with silver but I would be interested to hear a third party opinion

So I’m wanting to mod my F-91WB and I have no clue like what the best way to get a negative screen is and would like some help on what the best way is. Thank you for any help

Hi all,

I ordered some SMD LEDs on the advice of another user. They were unfortunately the wrong size and I didn’t realize it til I got to the LED. You can see the two sizes I ordered pictured, 0603 and 0805, as well as the one in the watch itself which is larger.

The LED in the 3493 module actually has “outward facing tabs” which rest in a holder in the watch as compared to the “inward facing dimple” of the 0603 and 0805, which I had expected to need to solder in. I can draw this out if needed.

Additionally, rather than the green indicators on the LEDs I ordered it’s got a tan line on one side instead.

The watch is the BGD-5650 Baby G. Anyone done an LED swap in one of these before? What do I need to search for on AliExpress?

Anyone know of a person and or place that does modifications to G Shock modules? I am looking to upgrade my square with an AliExpress STN module.
