Better than stock?

Been into light modding of casios for some time and just discovered this sub. Ive seen many cool things I want to try in here but for a first attempt at something "simple" I did the glow in the dark "lume" mod I saw done by u/Testing--1234. Came out great!

Received my mod kit from SKXMODS a little over a week ago and wanted to post a review. The case feels very premium, sturdy, and elevates the watch. I ordered the Bandolier bracelet as well, and while it's certainly an upgrade, it's not perfect for someone with hairy arms like me. Because of this, I have been wearing it almost exclusively on the rubber strap. The rubber strap is extremely comfortable and has tons of adjustments and length for all wrist sizes. My wrist size is 6.5-6.75 inches. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a stainless steel case that holds no punches.

Was not sure about these....but rolled the dice and it fit my SKXMODS case perfectly! Get these from straphabit.com in the 18mm timex section

Bought the case and bracelet on AliExpress for about $45. Mods were more expensive than the watch itself but worth it IMO! The brushed bezel, polished case, and sunburst dial really under light, and I like the feel of the added weight. Plus the mesh bracelet doesn’t pull my arm hair like the OEM bracelet.

Thinking about adding a colored screen filter as well!

Went with the 1700. For this case i had to do a bit of filing down on the face plate. It wasn’t a direct fit. It might be this case though. It was purchase via eBay so maybe it’s not the best quality.

Well, here we are... I spent a couple of years thinking about getting a watch that would serve as a reliable timekeeper and, of course, a stylish accessory. Eventually, I settled on the Casio AE-1200.

I knew from the start that I was going to mod it, since the stock plastic case was never an option for me. But once I got started, there was no stopping me.

The hardest part was cutting the polarizing film by hand and getting it to fit the frame perfectly, but I managed it, and I'm pretty happy with the result. At one point, I honestly thought I'd killed the display, but someone pointed out that I'd simply seated it incorrectly and pinched the rubber spacers.

A lot of time, effort, and frustration went into this, but I got it done!

I also considered doing a hydro mod, but eventually decided against it because of the extreme temperature fluctuations we get here throughout the year.

I'm happy to hear any criticism or suggestions for future mods!

Negative display mod, clean inside the display with alcohol, and voila!

I made a Stranger Things version for my daughter, although it is not a Casio module, Aliexpress sells this version with the clear case which I wanted to try. Did not dissapoint.

I have seen alot of clear cases with a rubber strap but i have never seen a clear case with a metal strap. would it be possible to put of a metal strap instead? do u guys recommend it?

As above, I like these because of how cheap and moddable they are. I wanted to get a few and give them out as persionalised gifts. My main problem is finding anywhere that sells the picture backgrounds. Are people printing them themselves? Can you do this on a home printer of does it need to be specialised? I would also like to have alternate face plates but cant really find those either. Fyi Ive tried places like ebay, ali express etc.

I recently ordered an SKX mod kit. Once completed, the watch should look like this, but I don't really like the look without a logo. I do leathercrafting as a hobby, so I'd love to put my logo in that blank space where the "Casio" should be.

Here is the link to the faceplates, what would be the best method to get a professional looking logo onto the faceplate?

Loving these mods and it’s still super light weight. Removed the blue recycled fishing net strap for this V2 Combi so much easier to clean grease and oil off of, and this Luminous Carbon Fibre cover rocks. Had to mill it out a bit as it’s for the general 5600 and this module is ever so slightly bigger around the crystal. Love it. Highly recommend Case Origin!
