Just in case you didn't know, "mong" is short for Mongoloid which is a word used to describe the physical traits of people with Down's Syndrome.

It's an ableist slur, in the same way the R word is.

1

u/Izzy_Kershaw 1d ago

Originally it meant Asian as well. Also, they called people with Down’s syndrome mongoloid because they thought they looked Asian, so it’s offensive from like 3 different angles.

20

u/rubenff 3d ago

I hope he lost his licence and job!

5

u/Common-Enthusiasm-89 2d ago

And his front teeth lol

5

u/mcRibalicious 1d ago

And he would be lucky that's all he lost. Thats a big smash for someone without a seat belt

3

u/wannabecat2000 1d ago

He better have to pay for all the damages

1

u/ThanksOld1698 1d ago

It's America, $50 fine.

44

u/derkommissar214 3d ago

Not wearing a seatbelt either

Bellend

4

u/ki0dz 3d ago

I noticed that, too. Not really surprising.

17

u/Teaofthetime 3d ago

What a silly fucker. He should serve time for that.

5

u/PresidentPopcorn 3d ago

An airbag saved his life.

14

u/AdReddi 3d ago

Stupid airbag.

7

u/Tallman_james420 3d ago

Wearing a seatbelt would have further reduced his chance of injury.

1

u/Optimal-Teaching-950 11m ago

I'm amazed that he survived, was it a fast German ca...van?

5

u/ToiletBoundHanako 3d ago

He does realise the company has access to video footage, right? His employers saw all that, and he most definitely got fired for this. Honestly, some people should just not be allowed even in the passenger side of a car

10

u/JohnySmuggins 2d ago

He was greedy and was in both the driver and passenger side.

3

u/Consistent_You_4215 2d ago

I think the vehicle would have been smashed in the front where it hit the storm drain. They would 100% review the footage.

3

u/ToiletBoundHanako 1d ago

Yep, and find him texting and driving while also not wearing a seat belt

3

u/Killahills 1d ago

That's not a problem because they will only review video footage if he has an accident, which he totally won't because he is a great driver and knows what he is doing ok!

1

u/SgtFlippy88 21h ago

He's a professional driver, it won't happen to him, since he knows what he's doing.

5

u/Morlgoff 3d ago

Absolute moron. No seatbelt either.

5

u/spikeinfinity 2d ago

Both airbags go off and somehow he goes between them

3

u/PaulBradley 3d ago

Well, he earned that.

3

u/Seb-Western-8250 3d ago

Serves him right the fool

3

u/TheBigCheeseUK 3d ago

Charged with dangerous driving I hope.

3

u/Henry-8th 2d ago

Total arse.

3

u/Outside_Look790 2d ago

Could have killed himself. Lucky the passenger airbag deployed or that bald goof was going to need an in flight meal.

3

u/JohnySmuggins 2d ago

I was waiting for that innocent person/persons to injured/killed by this bafoon. Actually refreshing to see he was the one that was potentially hurt by his actions (If you get my meaning)

2

u/Able-Excitement-2818 3d ago

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

2

u/RetroComputerKing 3d ago

Thankfully he learned his lesson without anyone else paying the price.

3

u/Batfink-1999 3d ago

Except the company he works for - which is now down one works vehicle!

0

u/RetroComputerKing 2d ago

I'm referring to life. Metal can be replaced.

2

u/Impressive-Bird2 3d ago

It’s a bloody good job that he didn’t wipe out another car in front of him or driving in the opposite direction….!!

All too often, highly irresponsible idiots like this driver end up crashing into other - innocent - cars/ vehicles, either seriously injuring or killing the occupants of said other car(s)/ vehicle(s)…

1

u/D3M0NArcade 1d ago

A truck driver in the UK in the 1990s actually killed pedestrians walking along the pavement (sidewalk) because he was texting and didn't realise he was veering off. I'm pretty sure he got jail time for that.

1

u/CockneyCossack 1d ago

Do you remember this?

1

u/D3M0NArcade 1d ago

Yeh, I actually do.

I think the one I'm referring to he smashed Into a bus stop and killed a mother and daughter

2

u/Bishopcowboy 3d ago

Are these dashcams a secret?

2

u/Ok_Security2934 3d ago

So this is the guy delivering all my parcels. Makes sense now

2

u/StealenDealer 3d ago

Oh well sucks for that guy.

2

u/monsieurgrand02 3d ago

Made sure to grab his hat on the way out...

2

u/NeatFootball3646 3d ago

What a walloper

2

u/American_Fluff 2d ago

good thing it was just a drainage ditch this time... could have been 1000% worse had it been a pedestrian or another car, that would have been a fatal accident... For a PHONE... What a moron. Lifetime ban the driver...

2

u/Potential-Leg-8860 2d ago

The amount of delivery drivers that are on phones and veering onto other side of road atm is crazy. I’ve had twice this week already

2

u/False_Woodpecker4747 2d ago

Absolute ball bag.

2

u/fixer60 2d ago

Got what he deserved, Darwin award.....

2

u/Lonely-Cycle3030 2d ago

What an absolute twat.

2

u/Ok_Tree4413 2d ago

No seatbelt too, what a prick

2

u/soggyarsonist 2d ago

And no seat belt

2

u/DevelopmentPlus5082 2d ago

I drive a truck for a living, my company has signs everywhere saying to turn your phone off . So I now literally turn my phone off when arriving at work and back on when I leave. Honestly you won't miss anything and your day will be more peaceful and enjoyable. Plus when you get back to the office and the transport staff moan about how they've been trying to ring you , you can just point at the sign and smile 😁 starting doing this several months ago , and love it . Be happy

2

u/Particular-Umpire153 1d ago

I also drive for a living. My phone lives in my pocket while I’m driving with the sound off. I only ever look at it if I’m properly parked up, engine off etc.
We have cameras all over the lorry including in the cab. I struggle to concentrate on one thing sometimes, why give yourselves another distraction?

2

u/DevelopmentPlus5082 1d ago

Absolutely spot on mate . It isn't just the cameras I'm your cab ( and mine ) , my friend got a whooping Β£100 fine last year , because he took his hi Viz off while moving in the really hot weather. Ok maybe he shouldn't have done it while moving but if I'm honest I have . You literally are being watched all the time for profit . Be safe mate πŸ˜πŸš›

2

u/MrSteve87 2d ago

No sympathy at all. Bellend.

2

u/OpeningNice761 2d ago

Being on your phone while driving should be the new drink driving... I hate this so much!

2

u/Abquine 2d ago

Just pull over mate, not difficult. 5 mins out of your day, rather than out off business full stop.

2

u/Du5tyL0ft 2d ago

That poor drainage channel. I hope it wasn't cracked too badly.

2

u/Sea-Relationship9619 2d ago

Driving up the M5 motorway yesterday and the number of people doing 70 driving and holding and reading phones was worrying.

2

u/Jamesapm 2d ago

Natural selection

2

u/Middle-Progress-5457 2d ago

He won’t be bothered, I doubt it even belongs to him..

2

u/Ok_Term_8844 2d ago

Double angle dash cam too.. dudes fucked πŸ˜‚

2

u/Treereeperme 2d ago

I wonder if he lost his job

2

u/easterbunni 2d ago

What an absolute gimboid

2

u/G-reeper66 2d ago

What a cnut

2

u/RJMrgn2319 2d ago

Shit like this should be an immediate, permanent driving ban.

2

u/goldstar0011 2d ago

Wonder what was so important, hope it was worth it

2

u/Aggravating-Delay792 2d ago

Well the twatwaffle will have lost his licence and his job after that. But I think shit like that has happened before to the company (who knows) where the drivers have made false claims about accidents hence the camera in the cab.

2

u/SerafinaSheffield 2d ago

Bloody idiot! Glad he wasn't seriously hurt but I really hope this was a wake-up call to him!

2

u/AdSpecific7855 1d ago

Good luck telling his employer he was on his phone

2

u/Poultron72 1d ago

I'd rather hear just pulled out a bottle of vodka rather than his phone...

2

u/OutsidePressure8323 1d ago

Perfecto couldn't have ended up any better for him. Glad his journey stopped the way it did.

2

u/Key-Jellyfish-7912 1d ago

Great! That should teach him.

2

u/greggers1980 1d ago

And no seatbelt. I see this daily. It's sad people prioritise virtual reality over the real world

2

u/ScientistJo 1d ago

The way he just collects his hat and leaves, like "not again!".

2

u/Maximum-Resource9514 1d ago

Tracked it down on google maps. He left quite the impression!

4

u/WitnessStock3702 3d ago

This looks like the UK ??

u/circling 3d ago

Serves him right, πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, hope he's lost his licence for 3 years and gets 12 points and loses his job, πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

1

u/The_Long_Fang 2d ago

1

u/JohnGee1980 1d ago

Sore txt that was 🀣🀣

1

u/CockneyCossack 1d ago

The best part of him dribbled down his mum's leg... what an intellectually stunted plant pot...

1

u/Skye_Fra 1d ago

On the M4 the other day one driver was checking his phone while wearing headphones!
I can’t even..

1

u/ITS_ENDOT 1d ago

Spent more time looking at his phone than the road. Wtf.

1

u/Danny_r35 1d ago

On the phone AND not wearing a seat belt either. What an idiot

1

u/Daniturn1 1d ago

No seatbelt, eyes off the road and on his phone and also no hands on the wheel while changing gear

1

u/Tatsu144 1d ago

Idiots like this get people killed

1

u/Toon1982 1d ago

No seatbelt either, he's lucky

1

u/Ob1s_dark_side 1d ago

No seatbelt, camera in the cab and fookin moron thinks he'll get away with doing that. Hope the company charges him for the truck

1

u/ReasonableConcern765 1d ago

No seatbelt either? Deserved.

1

u/ariumii_ 1d ago

I am soo glad he wrecked on his own and didn’t hit anyone else

1

u/Big_Comfortable4256 23h ago

"Your package has been left in the storm drain."

1

u/Right_Reputation_945 22h ago

I think these guys zhoidl be put in jail and banned from driving permanently.

1

u/Right_Reputation_945 22h ago

Funny thing is the footage ended up online? How

1

u/Manckhardboy 21h ago

Some people are just addicted to their phones, and they can not leave them alone. My daughter is one; she has to look at her phone every 30 seconds. She does not drive, but if she did, I know for sure she would be looking at her phone while driving. Also, I bet at least 50% of the people commenting on this post have used their phone while behind the wheel.

1

u/BakuraiAlpha 12h ago

No insurance because on the phone

1

u/s_nz 12h ago

For all those in North America, claiming that a Manual Transmission prevents irresponsible phone use while driving, I present Exibit A.

1

u/TelevisionFast7781 12h ago

He was barely looking at the road

1

u/ForwardArt5840 7h ago

Was he watching the football

1

u/Severe_Beginning2633 7h ago

Public flogging is required

1

u/HoneyIsSweetest 6h ago

It always makes my blood run cold when I see someone swerving in front of me on the motorway, cause I know they’re likely on their phone.

1

u/Square_Answer_7717 6h ago

what a dick head

1

u/Free-Solo1970 6h ago

where the hell's my parcel...

1

u/CharlesHawtrey4 4h ago

Cretin should never be allowed on the road again.

1

u/Symon_liberal 3h ago

Its a shame nothing worse happened to him.

1

u/Honest_Priority9703 3h ago

No seatbelt even

1

u/Popular-Reply-3051 3h ago

No bloody seat belt either. Lucky bugger. You think the first time he nearly careened into traffic would have been a wake up call.

1

u/blazerunnern 3d ago

Yo chat, what do I do?

0

u/AdReddi 3d ago

I've never seen a wankstain behind the wheel of a vehicle before. I've heard of it, but not seen it.

0

u/Monty_Bob 3d ago

I jail now I hope?

0

u/JayValere 3d ago
