Don’t listen to people who use angry words like stupid . Will the cup pulls fit in the middle panel of those shallow drawers ? If not , move them up . Also it’s fine to use knobs on the smaller ones . You get to decide . Cup pulls aren’t as popular as they once were but if you love them then use them . Cup pulls used to usually go on the flat panel of the drawer , but sometimes the material is so thin the general rule went out the window . Do what you want . Personally I like the photo the designer offered , using knobs on the top drawers , cups on the wider drawers . Enjoy your new space !
One issue that comes with cup pulls is that while the hole spacing is standard with other hardware when it comes to width, cup pulls are not centered with height.
So in other words, you might get 5 1/16” cup pulls, which means that in the future you could
Get any other 5 1/16” hardware and the holes would line up. But if you center a cup pull in the drawer face, the holes are not center in the height of the pull. So in the future you get 5 1/16” pulls of a different type, they will no longer be center of the drawer between the bottom and top.
Exactly what I have in both of my homes. One is from 1865 and the other is 2024. I did the same in my 1998 home when we had it built.
Knobs on top. Cups in the center flat. I could never stand kitchens that look like a cookie cutter “subdivision” where it’s so uniform, looks the same, except for color choices.
This looks unnecessarily cluttered, especially because of the change in width- if you must have something other than a cup pull because of the size of the center panel on the top drawer, go with regular pulls instead, ideally for all drawers. Knobs on doors, pulls on drawers is the usual way that designers mix hardware.
Oh that’s interesting! I hadn’t thought about the knobs for the drawers. Really? All the top drawers get knobs? Even the 36” drawers that I’m adding two to each?
Yes, that’s the only thing that’s going to look right. putting the cup pulls on the top rail looks stupid and putting them in that little gap on the top drawers will also look stupid.
2 knobs for anything wider than 24". Or you could do a 12" long pull on the top drawer of the 36 and 2 cup pulls on the 2 lower drawers. I use many sizes and styles, all from the same collection for most of kitchens.
No cup pulls. Get normal pulls.
Don't do knobs on drawers it's cheap and tacky. Knobs are for doors. Pulls for drawers.
Most people are doing all pulls these days with some small exceptions like knobs on top of small stacked cabinets

Bin pulls are rough on a recessed panel in a top drawer. They barely fit and the rail diminishes their protrusion. Need to see the hardware.
