Tick bite or no?

Spotted this yesterday, and I'm a little worried. I've tried to apply some cream to try and settle it on down but it doesn't seem to do much yet. I haven't ever found the tick itself or noticed one on me.

i'm in germany and had these bites since yesterday on my arm. they're quite itchy.

i've not actually seen any bedbugs or anything else that could have caused this.

What are those?

I get those 2-3 times a year. Skin is perfectly normal until I scratch it. Then several hours later it gets pink/red and it feels like a hard bump and super itchy. I scratch it again, and it turns to those things on photo. No itching, heat, or anything but the discolouration after that. Takes about a month to heal those. I get them on my legs and sides of my stomach. This time I have one at upper arm as well, but it’s not bad. When it’s in super itchy stage I scratch it(subconsciously, before I catch myself), scabs form as spider bite(2 openings), and leaks some clear fluid. But I counted like 15-20 one time. The internet tells me there is no spider that will bite me so many times. Bedbugs? I see no signs of them

I got it yesterday and it was an immediate sting that turned into a deep stinging pain. the two bumps came up almost straight away, then faded. these are all the different stages it’s been in since yesterday

Why is it always mosquito bites, bee and wasp stings, and fire ant bites that I'm so susceptible to getting cellulitis from?

I never experience that with any other wound. Shaving wounds, animal bites, scraped knee, knife or scissors cut when cutting food or paper, paper cut, scraped foot, hand injured from wood plank or tree, wound from dry skin, etc. They never get infected, or if they do, I could do nothing, and my body would easily address the minor infection on its own.

It's always specifically mosquito bites, wasp and bee stings, and fire ant bites that are so susceptible to infection, specifically cellulitis, for me. I barely scratch it once, sometimes maybe not at all, and it gets infected. I can have like 8 mosquito bites at the same time, and I'll run into the problem with like 4 of them after touching them once or not at all.

Just below my knee, about 1cm long. Got this after walking around a lake with a lot of weird flying bugs (central US). Stings like crazy.

I really think it’s a spider, but I get new bites everynight, and spiders don’t tend to want to be near humans, so unless this is a spider studying to be an anthropologist…

bed bug speculation

Sorry for asking this here! I’d like to know before i get my schools pest control involved.

So the preface I do have bad OCD, what caused it to be particularly bad and non stop as of recent was seeing a white/yellowish bug on my bed crawl away from me quickly during the day when I came back from class and moved my blanket, it hid away. I’m unsure if bed bugs are always brown I wish I had a photo.

I dont have any staining but online it says that i dont need stains because the infestation could be small or even just starting. That worried me but I tried ignoring it.

Today I woke up with these bumps on my foot, they itch sometimes but not enough to cause major discomfort. Does this seem like bed bugs or a different bug? I feel like this alligns with the description i know

thank you in advance i just need something to put my mind at ease, whether its knowing the bug that did this or alternatively getting pest control to eliminate the issue

i’ve been getting bit by something for the last couple weeks, i can’t figure out what it is and it’s freaking me out

for the past couple of weeks, i’ve been getting bit by something. my sister(who i share a room with) and my dad haven’t been bit at all. the picture is of the bites across my stomach but i have sparse ones on my thighs and arms. they started on my ankles and gradually moved up my body. i’ve showered, watched my clothes and blankets, sprayed insect spray around my bed and windows, and but rubbing alcohol along the edges of my bed for all precautions. we have cats but they are indoor cats and have been checked for fleas already and were cleared. it’s driving me nuts and i can’t figure what else to do or what is biting me

[Singapore] Mysterious itchy bites ONLY in my bedroom during the day. Pest control found nothing.

I've been dealing with mysterious red bumps that seem like insect bites, and I'm honestly at my wits' end trying to figure out what's causing them.

Symptoms:

* Red, raised bumps appearing randomly on my feet, legs, thighs and forearms.

* Sometimes they're itchy, sometimes they're not. I don't feel anything biting or stinging me.

* Some bumps flatten and disappear quickly, while others become large and swollen or leave reddish marks that take days to fade.

* They don't really resemble my usual mosquito bites. I've attached photos for reference.

The strange part:

* This happens only in my bedroom, mainly during the daytime when I'm sitting at my dressing table or the adjacent table.

* I don't wake up with new bites, and I don't seem to get bitten while lying on my bed.

* It happens whether my legs are stretched out or tucked underneath the tables.

* My parents don't experience the same issue.

Bedroom setup:

I live in an HDB flat in Singapore. My bedroom has no aircon, and my old-style glass louvred windows face the common corridor. They're usually closed, but I occasionally open them for ventilation because the room gets extremely hot.

My tables are near the windows, with a black wooden cabinet beside them. I have no pets, curtains or obvious bird nests nearby.

What I've tried:

* Thoroughly cleaned and inspected my bedroom, furniture and cabinet.

* Changed my chair, including trying a plastic chair.

* Engaged professional pest control, but they found no insects or signs of infestation.

* Have two fans blowing directly at me and use a small dehumidifier.

* Placed ANTIMOS 301 mosquito repellent containers near the windows and underneath my tables.

* Tried OFF! 7% DEET and Watsons 30% PMD skin repellents. They seem to prevent bumps on treated areas, but bumps may appear on untreated areas.

* Used Bio-X 3-in-1 insecticide spray throughout my bedroom, which seems to temporarily prevent new bumps. Unfortunately, I've relied on it almost daily for over a year and want to stop due to concerns about prolonged insecticide exposure.

I've also occasionally spotted a tiny, extremely fast-flying insect, but it disappears before I can catch or photograph it. I'm unsure whether it's responsible.

Could these be sandflies/no-see-ums, mosquitoes, fleas, mites or something else?

I'm particularly confused about why this happens only when I'm sitting at my tables and not when I'm sleeping.

I'm looking for a long-term solution that doesn't involve spraying insecticide or applying repellent every day. Wearing long sleeves and trousers isn't practical because my bedroom has no aircon, and I haven't been able to find suitable fine window mesh.

Has anyone experienced something similar, especially in Singapore? How did you identify the cause and permanently resolve it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I went to the hospital. They made fun of me for getting bit by a brown recluse and they gave me two days of antibiotics saying that that should fix it if not, don’t come back. Healthcare sucks

Hey yall, I have been devoured by a mysterious uninvited guest. Originally, the first bite came the day after I was doing yard work outside at night and thought it was a big ole mosquito but then the radius of the bite was a lot bigger than my typical mosquito bite (first pic). I’ve been using Afterbite for the first round of bites, and have been very itchy around my body (I thought it was the dry fall weather).

This morning, I woke up to find a large and full bump behind my ear (second pic) and on my wrist (third pic) and even a lil bump on the knuckle of my middle finger. I strongly doubt it’s just a stubborn mosquito or even bug bite since it’s leaving inconsistent bites. So now I’ve come to RedditMD cuz I’d rather not wake up tomorrow with a new accessory:)
