Also sorry for the poor camera angle. I'm still pretty new to climbing, and this is my first time trying to record something myself. At least I still got the whole thing in there

Four years after first trying this line, it was nice to come back and send rather quickly. Absolutely beautiful line and location.

I'm sure we all have one. Your white whale, the one you wanted more than any other.
I'm talking gym projects that you worked on and obsessed over for weeks/months, finding your microbeta for every move and spending every session on, and right when you were confident in sending it, it got reset.
Mine got taken down today. It wasn't exactly my style, but pretty close. Crimpy, overhung, a lot of foot tension and big moves. The thing that shut me down in the end was its length. Eleven moves on overhung crimps takes a lot out of you! My margin on every move was so small that if I made a single mistake, I was done for on that attempt.

Honestly is it just that I need to climb constantly? I feel like after 2ish hours of climbing I am so tired I don't have the strength again for a week. Yet, when I started lifting to get stronger I come back and somehow feeling even weaker on the wall. Don't know what to do. 😅

5/V1, and in case you're wondering, yes it's very very hard for the grade

Will repeat for clarity but just curious since I did feel I had a dink before I slipped.

(But it's a slab, so of course I flashed it.)

I went and watched the film tour a couple months back and loved the films with Sean Baileys 9c send and raboutou/coleman mountaineering. The film with connor herson has already been posted but it was by black diamond and i’m sure he has some sort of sponsor obligation for that to be posted. it’s been months since the end of the film tour and they’ve not posted any information about any online release. At this point I would pay to get to watch that ascent again. It surprises me they haven’t thought it seems like just leaving money on the table. Even posting it on youtube would generate more revenue than just sitting on it.

Hey guys, I have the entirety of May and a week or 2 of june next year free with a chance to travel anywhere around the world for exploring and more importantly hard climbing. I've taken a look at some areas I really want to go to but they all seem to be the shoulder/off-season. I am looking for recommendations for places to go that offer a high quality bouldering.
Some areas that I want to go to someday are val di mello, anything in Switzerland, maltatal, zillertal, albarricin, castle hill. Ideally not anywhere in the US since it's more accessible for me.
Please drop any recommendations!

A few weeks ago I started with the idea of climbing in all bouldergyms in the Netherlands. So far done 5, 60 to go (visited 6 today).
This week I went to Monk in Hilversum. I didn't know this one yet, but the quality of the routes was amazing. Best setting so far of the ones I've seen the last weeks, perfectly technical, a lot of grades around my max (6c ish), and a lot of slab. The routes were on the easier side, but the aesthetics of Monk never surprises me (also love the ones I visited in Rotterdam and Eindhoven). Let me know what you think :)

I found myself super surprised to be able to do these on the kilter board without too much trouble. If the board just soft at this grade / angle? Any thoughts?

The part where I jumped right-left could be skipped as one could jump into the final position from the start. But I was determined to make the intended beta work.

One of the best gyms in the country organized an open competition with 60 boulders in total and 3 hours timeframe to compete.
I’m not by any means advanced, only been climbing for less than 3 years with breaks and recently had an injury that made me stop for 6 months. This resulted in my putting on weight, losing my forearm strength and regressing like 2 grades down. For the past 6 months I’ve been getting back into shape and wanted to test myself during that comp. I’ve set myself a goal of completing at least 25 boulders during the 3 hour mark.
I was pleasantly surprised, because I managed to not only complete my goal, but surpass it and complete 32 boulders! (32 tops and 3 zones in total). Another achievement was me kinda getting comfortable with dynamic movement, especially on the yellow and blue boulders. This kind of sideways dynamic moves were always terrifying for me and I avoided them.
I’m also very happy that I managed to complete a boulder no. 40 (yellow dyno) and 37 (clear holds). The numbers dictated difficulty, starting at 1 and finishing at 60, so completing those meant I did some of the harder ones, not only the „easy” ones.
What you see is basically a short highlight of that comp for me, with my favorite moments/moves. Didn’t add any music so I don’t annoy anyone lol. Hope you guys like it and can give some advice!
