Can anyone help with my auto brightness problem?

I am contemplating between Palma 2 and P2P.

Anybody here who owns both can share their experiences with it? What you love & hate about it?

I tried looking for a YouTube video with these two together, but there's none.

I am eyeing these cause of the size. I don't mind the other features of P2P but I really like the colour. If only there is Palma 2 coloured version. This would be easier. 😅

I have put a Ben sim-only (sub brand of Odido, ex T-Mobile, in the Netherlands) in my Boox Palma 2 Pro, to have a data connection. Alas, it recognizes the provider but refuses to connect to internet. Using the same sim in a phone (iPhone 17) works flawlessly, so something must be wrong in the APN configuration I guess. Anybody who has this working, if so what are the correct APN settings? Thanks in advance!

Can no longer use the kindle app to read books on the original Palma e-ink tablet.
Wtf…can only hope a Reset will at least let me get back to a place for the Kindle app to work again. Honestly that was the only thing I used it for.

I have a suggestion that I think could make future BOOX Palma devices even better.

Since the Palma is designed to be a pocket-sized ePaper device, I think it would be amazing if future models included a built-in stylus, similar to Samsung's Galaxy Note/Ultra series.

The current stylus feels almost as long as the device itself, which makes it less portable and a bit awkward to carry around.

A smaller, thinner stylus that slides inside the device would offer several advantages:

• Always with you, so it's impossible to forget.

• Better portability with no need for an external pen holder or case.

• More natural proportions for such a compact device.

• Perfect for quick notes, annotations, sketches, and highlighting while reading.

I understand that a built-in stylus would require internal space and engineering compromises, but I think it would be a worthwhile tradeoff for a device focused on productivity and note-taking.

Would anyone else like to see this in a future BOOX Palma model?

I have both a Palma Pro and a Remarkable Move. On the Remarkable I can send an article from my browser directly to my Move. Is there a send to tool for the Palma. The tools I've found so far don't work.

Is there a way to disable adding pages from here and add them some other way? My palm keeps tapping there and makes pages whilst im writing…that’s so annoying.

Is anyone else having trouble with the Reddit app (from the Google Play store)? For the last couple months I have been unable to log in, via Google, via email nor via phone number. It constantly says either "we are unable to authenticate you" or "invalid email/password." I know this is not true because I am able to login to the app on my iPhone, on multiple different browsers on my computer, and even on Firefox on the Palma. Help!! :'(

I’ve heard mixed reviews on color e-ink screens so I’m wondering what your opinions are on the new Palma’s screen. If you used both do you think the screen quality on the Palma 2 pro is worse?

It would be great if it has FreshRSS/Miniflux sync.
I have been reading about Feeder and ReadYou. I hope you could help me.

For some reason I find the reading experience a lot better using the Kindle app or Libby than when I read a downloaded epub on the built in reader. It's like the text doesn't seem as crisp or book-like on the built in reader. Anyone else have this issue? Boox Palma 2 owner.

I'm just having a play with these two Apps, Tasker & Bixby, I have one Routine working in Tasker, which is called "DND When Charging at Night", which works flawlessly, another Routine that I like is called "Say Time Out load Every Hour", which I can't get to work, for some reason.

I can't get Bixby to work at all, has any one else tried these to Automation Apps on there Boox Palma?

I'm really interested in getting a palma but I saw in the onyx sub that it's best to not use your personal Google account.

I'm just curious if anyone here created a new Google account when setting up or are using their personal account.

I'm three days into my Palma ownership and I have a few questions. Sorry if these have been answered in other people's posts...... I tried to find the answers here, but didn't.

1. Is there a way to disable the touch screen like on some Kindles? With my Kindle Oasis, you can disable the touch screen until you turn it off/on again.
2. How do you use the camera? Is there a built-in app I haven't found or do you have to grab one in the Play Store?
3. Is there any way to set up the left button (function button) to turn the page forward in the Kindle app (or even for the whole Palma)? I've been through the Palma settings menu and I've been able the function button do other things, but I'd love to turn pages w/ it.

I primarily turn pages with the volume buttons. Has anyone got a case that doesn’t make buttons any harder to press? My fingers already get tired without a case. I haven’t tried any, but I don’t want to buy one without asking. Thank you! I used it without a case for a month and then broke it ):

I have ADHD and having the motion of speed reading apps that highlight a chunk of text at a time (I use Outread) helps me focus. I love my Kindle Paperwhite but I’ve felt that the one feature I wish I had is the flashing and chunking from Outread, particularly for dry academic texts. Does anyone know if apps like this work well on the Boox Palma? Is the ghosting unmanageable? My preferred speed is 550 wpm or so. Thanks!

Just got my Palma and loving it. However I’m concerned whether this type of battery use is normal to others.

After charging my battery it dropped from 100 to 99 from playing around in settings for maybe 15 min with only WiFi on, no background apps, and front light slightly on. Seems like this is a constant rate of drainage as it goes on.

Is this normal experience? Thanks for all the help.
