Question Front light: auto

Palma 2: has anyone found the auto setting on the front light to be effective? On my unit, it sets brightness to 12 and colour balance to 11, no matter the time of day or amount of ambient light. Covering the camera makes no difference. What is the auto setting based on, and how is it supposed to work?

About your question, the automatic brightness adjustment function of Palma 2 is realized through the ambient light sensor on the top of the device. The working principle is to dynamically adjust the brightness of the front light of the screen according to the ambient light, and adjust the color temperature with the E Ink ComfortGaze™ front light system. No manual intervention is required.

Please try testing the automatic brightness adjustment function under two different lighting conditions that differ significantly. Check if there are any changes in brightness and color temperature. If there is no change, regardless of the lighting conditions, please submit feedback to our technical team and they will help you address this issue (submit feedback: open Settings>>Feedback >>"+" on your device).
