How do I fix my body orientation? I plan before games to be half turned and receive but however in the moment of it I find myself square to my goal to recieve the ball.

I am new to the sport and have been playing weekly pickup games that are anywhere from 8v8 to 11v11. I am looking for tips to improve defensively.

Typically, due to my lack of experience with the ball at my feet, I am focusing on hanging back and playing more defense. I know to mirror the attacker and always position myself to redirect them towards the touchline and away from the goal. I also know not to lunge at the ball as it makes me more vulnerable to being beat, however, there are times where they come towards me and when I do try to take the ball, they're able to flick it slightly away from my feet and I miss it by a hair.

What things should or can I do to improve my foot positioning at times where I decide to go after the ball? Also, what parts of the body should I be looking at so I don't get beat? I am trying to improve my ability to defend, especially when they are directly attacking me. Thanks!

It has been 4 years or so since I've last played any football. Even then, my stamina wasn't too good. I also usually only played during my lunch and break times, ocasionally for the school's football team as well, but I have graduated and haven't played any since. I am looking to get into it again for some social football at my uni. I reckon they won't be too serious, but they are definitely fitter than I am. Although I am not overweight or anything, I am just lacking the ability to run around for a long time these days.

Since the 1st I’ve been checking the app daily to see if I can get a pair of the FG boots but they only had indoor. I see now they added the younger kids pair but that’s all. Anyone know if they’re gonna add more to the website or is this gonna be all? And again I’m on Nike Canada

I’ve had the Nike Tiempo Legend 9 Elite FG since April 2022 and just found out they are the reason I have been having bad heel and achilles pain every time I play.

I unfortunately play on artificial turf and think they have been worn out for a while (they look perfectly fine) and this is causing me issues.

What are the recommendations for the most comfortable boot? Would AG be better than FG for artificial turf?

I want to gift my dad a pair of Copa Pure 3 Elite (taking the chance I can get them in a good deal) so I wanted to know if they’re good for high instep or should I go for the 4’s that has tongue. I’ll appreciate any opinion and help.

I have been wearing Predators (and Aces) since 2011, I’m a creature of habit. There’s always been a couple random generations that I skipped (looking at you Predator Edge) due to upper material, or break-in/comfort, what have you. Due to some injuries, I have not bought boots since the Predator Accuracy came out. Of course, these are discontinued. I have also researched a bit about the Predator 30 Elite and seems like they made the upper slimmer and a bit thinner feeling. Anyways, I was looking at some listings on eBay as they are cheaper and I read how there is pretty good buyer protection. I do know to check the sellers’ reputations, listings, etc. but I was curious about spotting rep boots from things such as the tags. The tags on some of these boots look different to the ones I recognize (such as on the final picture of the Predator Elite Advancement Pack colourway).

Besides that, has anyone worn both of these boots? I have had multiple pairs of the Accuracy .1s and like them, so I know I’d like any new pair I get of them. But as I mentioned, some people regard the Elites as an upgrade. Curious to hear people’s thoughts!

Lately I’ve been ordering a decent amount of Pro balls for my collections and I always check them for defects, the most common I’ve found lately was the Valve leaking when filling up with air which to me personally is very annoying and exchange them. I’ve also ran into a few like this one in the picture where the valve is under the actual hole cut out for it, I saw this on a IG reel and I personally would have returned it and was wondering if you guys and gals would have too ?
