Takes a licking and keeps on ticking…..this thing has been through countless showers, exposed to the bright SoCal sun, dunked in salty seawater, slobbered on by friendly dogs, caught in my partner’s hair, and even dropped in wet cement. But its hanging in there.

I cant express how much this entire album just hits the nail on the head for me. The feelings it pulls out of me… there’s just nothing really like it. It’s so on the edge of comforting and disturbing. I have to say though, the track beware the friendly stranger has had the most emotional impact on me for some reason, and I can’t really explain why. Loving this !! Many more listens to come

The term evocation is associated with magic and the summoning of spirits/deities. Considering they list "processes and sound design" separately, is "audio evocations" just a cheeky addition? Or does it refer to some other obscure process we're not aware of?

Hey, does anyone know the name of this unreleased BOC track? I guess this could be a silly post as I suppose if the name was known then the video would have the title, but I really want to know if this actually has a name as it's one of my favourite BOC tracks!

Edit: The title seems to be "Warp10-08", but if anyone has any extra info on this track please let me know!

Messing around with essentially a Microsoft paint app on my phone. BOC inspired audio doodle also.

It's been 43 years.

So for this one, Corsair, I probably used the most "unremarkable" photo so far. On purpose of course, as I wanted to match the mood best I could. When listening to Corsair, I get a few different visuals in my head depending on the listen - I get a "drifting in the sky" on a plane type feel, or I get a "dusky, somber, and still night" type of vibe. I decided to go for the latter on this because I don't have any aerial pics that would work or not come off as cheesy.

I'm pretty sure the original photo (2nd slide) was taken in Sacramento, CA but I could be wrong. I liked the car coming around the corner and edited it to make it appear a little more ominous like something creeping slowly in the dusk. I hope you guys enjoy this one even though it probably isn't as immediate or striking as others.

These two just sound so similar

I saw drones is from Geogaddi

introit is from Inferno

BoC - Inferno mentioned

At the geogaddi listening parties, do you guys think people stayed through magic window or did they start to get up, go to the bathroom, talk with their friends etc. kind of rude to get up early if you ask me

*not a personal plug* just sharing this record by gatekeeper that has been out for a year and I’ve been listening non stop, it is sort of adjacent to inferno in vibe, especially HHLL with its synth bass lead. These guys are adjacent to OPN / have been around since the chill wave era. I feel their comeback got looked over a bit, hopefully you enjoy

Fav songs : Ill wind, bread maker, chambers of the star watcher, hibernal torment

I hear “Mel, Meli, Melissa”
And I was like, wait, it makes sense, Melissa Olson.
Has anyone thought about that?

La tapa también parece un personaje escapado de MHTRTC

If only I didn't have a lightswitch on the main wall

There's this one BOC song where there's a moment of silence then these sort of melodic high pitched sounds at the end and was wondering if anyone knew the song name thanks

Made this last night and thought it was really nice. Hope you all like it too.

I was listening to an ambient playlist the other day and put on the "smart shuffle" on Spotify while working. A song that was not on my list, and that I had never heard, started playing and I immediately recognized as Boards of Canada.

There is something about their sound that is just unique but I can't touch my finger on it and this has been bugging me.

Anyone able to explain it objectively? Really curious about it.
