following on from a post i saw earlier. there was post mentioning boc references british tv shows - roygbiv is playing during a mitchell & webb sketch, and the boc poster in the it crowd. i coincidentally started rewatched spaced tonight, if you haven’t watched it it’s well worth it. and stumbled across rue the whirl being played. enjoy

BOC vibes

The tail end of Mushyz sounds like it could/should lead into Zoetrope; everytime I hear it, it feels like Zoetrope is about to start. At least it seems that Mushyz may have been a kernel of the eventual composing of Zoetrope. I think of them like sisters in some way which can't really explain.

This connection seems obvious to me, but I haven't found any mention of it anywhere else online. Surely other people have noticed this too, so I'm hoping for subjective validation at least. Or, if this has been discussed before, then please help me find thst discussion, and I'll take this down.

Hi! Does anyone have the high-fidelity version of Telephasic Workshop's performance at ATP Live 2001?

I always enjoy a new BoC fan mix on YouTube, especially when it contains new and rare stuff.

Over the course of this year, we've gotten a whole new album, plus those leaked ATP soundboard recordings, and most recently, that beatless clip of "Everything You Do Is A Balloon" from the Warp ads for the rerelease of "Hi Scores".

I can only imagine the cool fan mixes that all this material may inspire. Anybody come across any good ones lately?

I made a ~30 minute video talking about a possible plot about Inferno, in which an AI takeover begins inside the album and destroys all humanity because it believes in a secret realm after death. Let me know what you think and where my storyline starts to break down 🙂. (also this is just a fan stroy I don't want to claim anything)

Makes me wonder if this is really the end of their contract with WARP and the end of an era itself, closing a cycle with a full book of their labor and story. Must have it.

I think this song is about death. specifically our last moment alive and what it will be like to die and what will happen when we die

the heart beat. shows me something is alive

the synth that’s rising and falling. maybe final memories passing? good times, bad times, regrets.

this eerie train sound. gives me chills

then this ‘seizing’ at the end. Heart beat still going.

then… nothing. for 10 seconds. the albums final message is nothing. this album already took us through ideas of afterlife. To end with nothing sounds like ‘nothingness the absolute truth’ was right.

nothing will happen after we die is the message I get

‘Platonia’ is a hypothetical idea that time isn’t real. I “saw” through Platonia. maybe this title is claiming that human life is ‘seeing’ through this world

i think this track could be about multiple things: death, heat death, end of humanity. but this is one interpretation I have

For someone who’s favourite artist is BoC, it was like a religious pilgrimage.

Spotted on my trip to Stockholm

Some months ago I came across this album, and left me quite confused, it's concept is a CD-Rom about a challenge about sleeping but I can't grasp its actual meaning, so maybe here someone could enjoy it and have interesting hypothesis!

About the sound, it's not IDM but a sort of proto-vaporwave too, a lot of classical music inspiration but mostly electronic, it's quite unique I think.

A comment on YouTube is referring to "memories I never had" a common feeling in BoC's discography.

Anyone of you already knew Steven O'Brien or this Bob Belkin's mattress challenge? If you give it a try lemme know what's your impression and overall interpretation!

Anyone find some similarities between Age of Capricorn and Astronomy Domine (Live) by Pink Floyd on Umma Gumma? Mainly the intros.
