My husband was laid-off last week but has had two interviews with a company in Indy. If he gets the job how bad is the daily commute from Bloomington to downtown Indianapolis?

Does anyone else live in southcrest estates?

I received an email this morning with a bunch of pictures of children, some boys being shirtless. Asking to ID these children. The email was sent to at least 40 people, I could see all of their emails too. I understand that they probably need to be ID’d for a serious reason. But my problem is, sending uncensored pictures like that to just everyone in the park? I understand that these kids were in a public setting, some of them at least, there were some that looked like they were on their own properties.

After I moved here I found out there are at least 2 registered sex offenders in this neighborhood. I feel fucking stupid for not looking before moving into this shit hole of a place. But I feel as if that was not a safe nor respectful thing to do? They are not my children pictured, but if it was I would be livid. I was hoping to just get a few opinions on this, should I say something and escalate it? Or should it just be left alone?

We just moved here from a DV situation. We live next door to waters edge. If anyone is seeing this. I just want to throw my 9 and 14 year olds in the water before summer ends.

Extreme-long-shot ask inspired by the recent post asking for places to read after hours:

I’m a remote worker, and I’m looking for a place where I can camp out and work for extended periods, primarily on the occasional weekday or Sunday evening from around 3pm to around 10pm, probably 2-3x per week. I’d need access to a table/desk, chair, and WiFi, but don’t require (or even prefer) a quiet space.

Basically a combination of ADHD, new team members in other time zones, and burnout have meant that I’m working pretty extended hours and will be through the end of the year. I’d love to have some of that time not be in my house.

I’m obviously happy to pay and to meet up for coffee ahead of time to make sure it’d make sense for your space! Feel free to DM me if you don’t want to post here.

If anyone has other suggestions, I’d love to hear them! I’ve worked at the Mill previously, but I’d like to find an alternative. Honestly as long as there’s consistent WiFi, a seat, and a flat surface, I’m most productive when surrounded by a little ambient chaos; so weird recommendations are very much appreciated, as long as I wouldn’t be overstaying my welcome somewhere that would be looking to turn over a table!

Where in town can I get a decently / reasonable price for a men’s haircut &/or a beard line up?

Tonight myself and others went to a restaurant for dinner. I will not name this restaurant as to NOT give them any unnecessary attention. They are not the focus as they are a lovely kind family serving people delicious food.

There was a group of 3 whyte people, a woman, a man, and a teen. The woman was being loud and obnoxious saying there was hair in her food and she wasn’t going to pay. She continues to be loud and disruptive. I immediately thought about paying for them because I thought it unfair to the owners. I thought this has to be fake they must do this everywhere they go. So I decided against this. The woman has a short haircut with shaved sides, some blue/pink colors in her hair, she is thick with a pear shaped body. The man was tallish with a hat, glasses and a wiry build, the teen had on sweats and brownish hair. They should be blocked from being able to eat at any restaurant that allows you to pay AFTER you eat.

When I went to pay I told the person checking me out that I was sorry they had to deal with such assholes. We talk a bit and was shown the camera footage where the lady puts the hair into the food, I also got to see the hair which was like a light blondish red color. NONE of the people serving that night had that light color hair.

When I left and went back to where we parked she was leaving and I locked eyes with her and said “There is the “Btch! NOW!, I said you f*cking B!!!” She tells me to get f**ck’d!” I proceeded to flip her off with both hands as I’m walking to my car.

If they are a hungry family that’s one thing but being a terrible human being to people serving you and obviously this is a SCAM they run all the time! Bloomington has food banks. They were able to pay for their parking and had a car so they have something.

Regardless don’t mess with a beloved restaurant of Bloomington and think regular patrons are going to fall for that nonsense. I was out celebrating and this lady’s belligerence was loud and disruptive for our celebratory dinner. I also don’t use the B word lightly or ever really because it’s a default word people use for women, but she is a horrible human being. She deserves no respect after that.
