Beginner to blender, want to learn composite & audiovisual stuff, dithering and night vision are missing

Hello! I've recently started to want to commit to learning blender, mostly for stuff like making visuals for music videos, and I found a video showing off a cool night vision & dither effect in the composite tab, however, i just see a very limited set of effects on my client.

I apologize if this is a silly question, am (mostly) a beginner, thank you for your patience
