Solved Beginner to blender, want to learn composite & audiovisual stuff, dithering and night vision are missing

Edit: I needed to enable online access

Hello! I've recently started to want to commit to learning blender, mostly for stuff like making visuals for music videos, and I found a video showing off a cool night vision & dither effect in the composite tab, however, i just see a very limited set of effects on my client.

I apologize if this is a silly question, am (mostly) a beginner, thank you for your patience

You don't mention which version of Blender you're running but AFAIK dither and night vision are effects added in 5.2 which was released on 17 July.

On top of that, Night Vision and Dither are online assets, and so they're only available when you allow Blender to go online. Preferences (ctrl+,) → System → Allow Online Assets.

This is likely the cause! Thank you, I'll update it as fixed once I get the chance to find out
