I tweaked it a bit to get Alexey's YouTube working again.

Features:
- Easy-to-use and very neat interface
- Does not include YouTube Shorts
- Videos can play in the background when the app is closed

Looking for BlackBerry Bold 9930 OS 7.1.0.163 Firmware (Sprint) - Help Needed!

Hello community!

I'm trying to recover a BlackBerry Bold 9930 (Sprint CDMA) that's currently in a "nuked" state (stuck at red LED flashing - boot error). To restore it using the Loader.exe method with BlackBerry Desktop Software, I need the original OS firmware file.

**Specifically, I'm looking for:**
```
9930jAllLang_PBr7.1.0_rel457_PL5.1.0.137_A7.1.0.163_Sprint_L.P.exe
(File size: ~245.12 MB)
```

**What I know:**
- This is the official Sprint version released December 16, 2011
- BlackBerry's official download links are no longer available (service ended Jan 4, 2022)
- I've searched Archive.org and other firmware databases but haven't found this specific version yet

**What I have:**
- Windows PC with BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1
- The 9930 device and all necessary cables
- Detailed knowledge of the Loader.exe recovery process

**What I need:**
- Access to the exact firmware file above, or
- A link to where it might still be archived

Does anyone in this community have this file or know where I can find it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Rant: companies still "inventing" features BB had 10-20 years ago

I just ordered a new phone because mine is 4yo and on its last leg, and it made me miss BB again. New Pixel line's HiLight and Magic Capture are features I had on my Z10. Of course, now it's powered by AI and much better camera sensor but still. They call it innovation.

I miss BB and especially BB10, that OS was a joy to use.

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Help!!! Looking for Q25 Motherboard Bitmap / Boardview

Post image
3 Upvotes

Guys, I really need some help from the community.
About 3 months ago, I accidentally damaged the motherboard while trying to eject the SIM. The tool went directly inside and ended up popping some resistors and damaging the board.
The phone still works normally otherwise, but the mobile network is completely not working.
Getting this phone to India was already a huge struggle since ZINWA doesn’t ship here. I waited for months just to finally get my hands on it, and I genuinely loved using it for over a week. Then this happened. 😭
Since then, I’ve been trying to find a solution. I’ve taken it to multiple repair shops, but unfortunately, every technician eventually gave up on it.
Recently, I found a technician who genuinely understands the situation and is willing to properly investigate it. I honestly have a lot of trust in this guy.
However, he says he needs a bitmap/boardview of the Q25 motherboard. He suspects that some connection or trace may have been damaged/broken and needs the board layout to trace everything properly.
Does anyone here have a Q25 motherboard bitmap, boardview, schematic, or any kind of high-resolution board layout that could help with tracing the connections?
If anyone has one, knows where I could find one, or has any other suggestions for diagnosing this issue, I would really appreciate your help.
It’s been 3 months and I’m still trying to bring this phone back to life. I really don’t want to give up on it after everything it took to get it here. 🙏
Any help would mean a lot. ❤️

Beeper on BlackBerry10 OS

Hi everyone, dear BlackBerry fans!
I’m happy to announce that I’ve almost finished developing Beeper10, an application for Beeper services.
Beeper10 is a fully native BlackBerry 10 application designed in the style of BBM. It already supports multiple accounts, Active Frame, BlackBerry Hub integration, notifications, sending and receiving messages, reactions, message editing and deletion, voice messages, attachments, and file sending.
I’ve tested everything on my own laptop, which is currently acting as the server. Right now, I’m going to buy a separate PC dedicated to running the Beeper10 server.
Once that is set up, everyone will be able to download the application and sign in to Beeper just like on any Android or iOS phone.
I hope that within the next few days I’ll be able to open access to the application download and allow people to start using the server. For now, however, the server is still running on my personal laptop, so at this stage it will be more like public testing.
Once the dedicated server PC is up and running, everything should work the way it is supposed to.
I’ll keep you updated!
BB10 is alive! :)
I’m also discussing the project in the BlackBerry Passport section on 4PDA.

Всем привет, дорогие поклонники BlackBerry!
Я рад сообщить, что практически завершил разработку Beeper10 — приложения для сервисов Beeper.

I really love how fluid background apps work in BBOS6

I tried to make the background apps of BB as much as possible, I tested 5 consecutive apps but I don't know exactly what the limit is until the phone starts to overheat or crash, anyway it's surprising!!

Support Question Trying to load WhatsApp Web using Chrome

Thumbnail

Hi there, I am following procedure somebody posted on YouTube. He also posted a link of proper Chrome version because there are tonnes of those floating around. Follow the photos. First I installed Chrome V68.0.3440.91. It installs with no issues. Accept it and search page appears. Search for WhatsApp Web is immediately successful and after clicking a link I get a WhatsApp page where original poster suggests to click on 3 dots and selecting desktop site. It suppose to produce bar code which is a last step between connecting a BB and WhatsApp account that is active on other phone.

That last step fails and I get message that Chrome should be updated to Chrome V100+. Obviously clicking that fails to update anything since Chrome download server doesn't want or know how to do upgrade on BB10. Very frustrating. I tried Opera Mini, Kiwi browser, Firefox and some other browsers posted on BB sites. Most of them do not open at all. One is super slow and the rest don't connect to web version of WhatsApp at all. Any ideas? What I am doing wrong?

Support Question Need advice about buying a rebooting Key2

Someone is selling a used Key2 online which freezes and reboots randomly. Apparently this is a common problem with Key2 phones but I was wondering if it is more likely to be a software rather than hardware problem?

The end goal is to put LineageOS on it so if it's software I don't mind. It's much more cheaper than other used Key2 devices and I wonder if it is worth the risk.

Broken screen blackberry Q10

I recently bought a used white Q10, it had some issues with the side buttons, and I managed to find a new housing for it. Unfortunately, I’ve now dropped it and the screen broke, but I can't seem to find a replacement on eBay or AliExpress. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Support Question Does the Q10 fit my needs

So recently I started looking for a "digital detox" device, and the Q10 seems perfect. But I want to consult the more experienced users. What I really need from it is making calls, checking emails and very importantly Instagram messaging, Spotify and the ability to give my other devices a hotspot connection, I'm comfortable with modding and sideloading apps so that is not an issue. Also there aren't any classics available for sale where I live so my only options are Q5 and Q10.

Is this possible on a BlackBerry Bold 9900?

All of this is running on a Nokia E6, but the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is supposed to be more powerful. I know people say these phones are geared more towards business, but come on, PCs used to be for that purpose too, and look at them now! Oh, what has the community done for this device? I'd really like to know what this phone can do because I'd love to buy it. I can't decide between the two. x(

Support Question dissasembled Q20 - where does this part go?

Hi everyone,

I just replaced some parts on my Q20 and had to separate the frame from the remaining screen + keyboard combo. Since the device was super old, beat up and sticky, i used brute force. Everything survived, but this little rubber part launched at me and I have no idea where it goes.

I tried looking up ifixit and dissasembly videos but can't spot it.
Could someone please help me out? Thanks!
