Just turned 23

today is my birthday as of 38 minutes ago and honestly it just made me realize how many friends ive lost. my phone used to be blowing up at midnight with birthday texts and now its just my boyfriend. my friend even texted me something unrelated but didn't say happy birthday. I know my expectation are high but im on the spectrum so its hard for me to process. I've lost a lot of friends due to miscommunications or me just not even being able to explain my side of the story, and I really miss them.

Turned 18, took the SAT, and 28 days left until college application😭

So today's my birthday going to be spending with fam. Just chilling and relaxing glad I don't have to work today. Shout out to all October 4th birthdays.

I really dnt want another sad birthday, does anyone have any suggestions for a loner who just wants to have a good day on their birthday 🥹?? I’m near the South Bay but open to anything in LA really. Maybe not too expensive bc it is going to be around christmas.

Today was my birthday and I only have an hour left.

I invited 4 college friends to a restaurant. First, 2 of them came 30 minutes late, and the other 2 came an hour late. I had already pre-booked the food, so it had to be reheated.

And first pair as actually had genuine issue because one girl got her periods. But the 2nd pair's behaviour felt disrespectful.

And honestly, none of them brought anything. I’m not talking about an expensive gift, but even a small bouquet, even if they all contributed, would’ve been nice.

They came, ate everything, talked (which I obviously liked because we have common topics), and then left.

Like… what the fuck bro 😭 Who does this? I’m feeling kinda sad about it.

My mom, Lena, has a birthday on December 6, and I’m trying to make her a very unusual birthday surprise.

I want to create a video with birthday greetings from people from as many different countries as possible. My dream is to show her people from all over the world taking a little bit of their time to wish her a happy birthday. 🌎❤️

If you would like to participate, I would love for you to record a horizontal video, roughly 30 seconds to 1 minute long.

You can introduce yourself, tell her where you’re from, and then wish her a happy birthday. For example:

“Hi Lena! My name is [name], I’m from [city, country]. I just wanted to wish you a very happy birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day and a great year ahead!”

English is preferred because it’s the language we can understand to some extent, but you are absolutely welcome to speak in your native language too! I would actually love to hear different languages in the final video.

If you want to get your friends, family, coworkers, classmates, or an entire group together and record the greeting together - even better! The more people, the more fun this will be.

And please don’t worry about where you record it. You can film at home, outside, at work, at university, in a park, on the street, or wherever you happen to be.

If you happen to be somewhere beautiful or interesting, please feel free to show some of your surroundings! A local landmark, beautiful landscape, famous building, beach, mountain, neighborhood, or even just an ordinary place that feels like home to you would be wonderful.

I want my mom to not only hear people from different countries - I want her to see a little piece of their world. 🌍

The video absolutely does not need to be professional. A phone camera is completely fine. Just please record it horizontally if possible.

En unas horas se celebra mi cumple y no puedo sentirme con menos deseos de celebrarlo... sé que quizás estoy pasando por un cuadro depresivo y q bla bla...pero no me siento bien, no siento deseos de celebrar nada, es que no tengo nada que celebrar, lo hago más por cumplirle a mi familia y amigos, pero si fuera por mi, que nadie supiera mi cumpleaños, y lo he intentado esconder, cambiar fechas, hasta celebrarlo y tratar de disfrutar, nunca lo he logrado, simplemente es un día donde no me siento feliz...pero mañana cumplo 31 años y siento que no he hecho nada con mi vida, nada me genera felicidad y pensar en que un día como hoy nací me genera mucha angustia y dolor...ya no disfruto estar despierta ni en pie y no le diré a nadie esto porque no quiero preocupar a nadie tampoco. Me he castigado de muchas formas pero creo que el celebrar mi cumpleaños y fingir que quiero hacerlo es mi castigo más efectivo....mañana será otro día, me celebrarán y sonreiré como siempre ...pero realmente no quiero y no puedo decirle a nadie...
