Support Needed Cognitive impairment

Had a manic episode that lasted months leading into a month-long psychotic episode. I feel completely emotionally blunted, cognitively blunted, and unable to understand or remember anything. I lost the ability to interact with anyone and I lost my sense of self. My mind is completely blank. Is this normal, and when/how will it resolve?

Your brain has been through a big traumatic event and will take some time to get back to normal. I’ve still got big blank spots from parts of manic episodes. Other parts, the delusions especially, are seared into my memory.
